In a dedicated pirate deck this is just bonkers. 3-mana 4/3 weapon on curve that also sets up your next turn. The question is, can you build a deck that lets this proc reliably, especially considering the Rogue suneken card is not a pirate by itself.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
While it doesn't quite synergize with Sunken Vessel (that's what Gone Fishin' is for but I digress,) this is a really good card for Pirate Rogue, setting up for some aggressive damage over the next few turns.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
Yeah, OK, Blizzard we get that you want Pirate Rogue to be good. This is insane. A 4/3 Weapon for 3? And it Dredges, and buffs, a relevant minion? The only time it isn't good is if you somehow haven't filled your deck with enough Pirates. Why wouldn't you? Run every Pirate. Go next door, ask Warrior if you can borrow some of his Pirates. Just type in "Pirates" and keep clicking until it won't let you click any more.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
This card is just good, doing 12 damage for 3 mana, in a class with access to weapon buffs.
In most aggressive decks, being able to hit face for 12 while having tempo is just an easy win. And coincidentally, pirate decks do just that, aggro out.
At very worse this card can whiff and you'll be stuck with half the damage. But in a dedicated deck, I dont anticipate this happening often.
Well if Pirate Rogue is gonna be a thing, this will be a staple in the deck and will also be pretty strong!
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
Well we know this weapon will be good in a pirate focused deck but that's about it. It's not bad by all means, just have to wait an see how Pirate Rogue turns out
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
3 mana 4/3 weapon that also manipulates your next draw? That's so strong! This will see play in any pirate rogue deck, and probably a bunch of tempo rogue decks as well, just because some pirates are so good that they can work outside of pirate rogue.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
There doesn't seem to be anything that specifically puts pirates in the bottom of your deck, but if you have enough pirates in your deck, odds are at least one of the three cards at the bottom will be a pirate, and with the buff to both the weapon and the minion, this should be really good.
Geez, Team5 is very subtle in their push for Pirate Rogue ... We get it, the package is obvious and we will give it a try, no need to twist our arm
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Pirate Rogue will become a thing now? That's one scary weapon, but really funny at the same time!
