This card is abysmal
This already count as 1 bad legendary from miniset, and I know miniset value is always better than buying packs.
But if the trend continues, this probably gonna be the first miniset I don't wanna buy.
I want to remember that, prior to release, evenRaid Boss Onyxia didn’t look too good, but look at the card now.
Moreover, Mini-sets are supposed to shake up the meta: there’s no way they’ll print a bad Neutral Legendary - I just refuse to believe it
Maybe a little too optimistic, but it's definitely too early to pass judgment.
Dude previous mini ser they printed Mi’da Pure Light and I only saw that card only once played by a thief rogu
Yeah, but it’s not like the card is bad: it’s just that it doesn’t see play. The consequences are the same, but there are different starting points here
None of this has rush or taunt, so all I see is a nerf of the Colossal pool for poor Faelin.
Yep, it's really bad for Big Beast Hunter actually, you really don't want to pull out this guy in most situations, similar to an even worse Hydralodon which floods the board and prevent any following plays. But while Hydralodon is bad to recruit, it's amazing to play and Ozumat is bad in both cases
and hydraln alson only has 2 bad targets for revive pet vs 6 for ozuma
If this card is good it'll be in addition to other cards. The card's pretty bad on its own, so yeah Faelin gets worse.
I feel like Hunter’s Devouring Swarm has some really good synergy with Ozumat, but other than that I agree with you: seems like you’ll need to jump through one too many hoops in order to get value out of it.
Maybe it can see play in Warlock as additional board clear paired with a self-destruct spell? But event in that case you have Gigafin, which takes up less spaces on the board…
On first look, that's a lot of stats for an 8 drop. Your opponent will never be able to clear everything without an AoE and then if they kill the head then its just a one sided Twisting Nether.
But very likely this card is just shit. 8 mana do nothing is bad enough. 8 mana, fill your board with 1/3s with no taunt and no possibility to even play something like broom, its just inviting death to your face on a platter. It gets worse against shaman because of its colossal size, which they will happily skip your next 4 turns with.
So all in all, what is this card even supposed to accomplish? The only hope for it is via mana cheat and rez shenanigans, or unless you have an easy way to kill the head. But if you do, then all you're doing is just an 8+ mana board clear costing 2 or more cards. Of course there's always the chance that you're not dead on board the next turn when you play this, but is this really a better card than the many 8 drops around in standard right now?
Play Dead
It loots of stats for 8 Mana. With any kind of buff (like Druid ones) it is A LOT of stats.
It is maybe not best card but it is many bodies for 8 Mana.
I sometimes play Hunter with Pharaon Mask quest. I will use this there (lots of bodies and stats).
yeah!
my highlander quest hunter will enjoy this :D
is it an S tier deck? no... but i play for fun and i will have fun!
P.S. as someone also suggested, 1 Play Dead makes this a board clear too!
Highlander Hunter has the summons and the discounts to pull this early, and their board clear options are limited, so you've got a really good point.
deathrattle triggers to nuke 6 for around 9 mana
This just seems bad....like a worse Gigafin. Do the Tentacles literally have no other function? Because if not then what even is the point? It's too expensive for token decks, too expensive for Rogue shenanigans (it doesn't work with Sketchy Information or Smokescreen) and even Big Beast Hunter probably doesn't care unless you pull it from a harpoon or Sunken Saber it's too slow to do anything...and even if you get it just fucks your rez pool because every arm is a seperate Beast to pull from Revive Pet.
Trash I think unless there's an additional gimmick
I wouldn't be so hasty in evaluating this. It's Neutral, that opens up more cheating possibilities. I don't know what that could be, but there must be some synergy we're not seeing yet.
You hope. We all hope.
