Managed to have some fun, stole Warlock Rafaam and location using Priest legendary.
Ik brawls you dont make deck are usually just RNG, but i find better this way, you wont end facing only broken stuff (FTK druid, Pogo only deck)
Man, some of these decks really show us why we have 3 good and bad classes currently. Paladin's too slow and have no draw, warrior cant reload after a clear, priest without win cons, deathrattles in druid being completely redundant, secrets in rogue are a joke. At least relic dhunter looks fine, but probably because of the clearly inefficient builds all round.
The decks are standard but the format is Wild -- you can discover anything. That's actually an interesting idea, giving one some varied gameplay without the obscenity that is constructed Wild combos.
As an introduction to the newest expansion, however, it's obviously misleading and therefore somewhat counterproductive, though the fact that it's weeks too late is even more counterproductive. Was it essential to have the Zephrys wishes brawl for the umpteenth time right that very minute so there was no time for the expansion-themed brawl?
You could actually do this brawl twice in a row, one with a Standard pool and one with Wild, all without hurting theme.
Speaking of theme: I'm surprised they didn't make a brawl built around Murloc Holmes and perhaps discovering cards to put in your deck, making it so players play lots of Holmes and spend the brawl guessing what their foe designed.
Probably because it'll take too much time per match waiting for both sides to build up and that captain blackheart's treasure brawl (the one where you start with 2/3 pirates and discover a card per turn) is effectively that, just without the deck building part.
But a brawl with murloc holmes theme seems great. 20 health, start with 3 mana and 10 cards in hand, every turn guess a card from your opponent's hand and discard it if successful.
That's nice, a few weeks too late though
I can't remember which expansion it was, but one of these times they had this Brawl the first week and it was perfect :/ There's no excuse for it beyond "we want you to waste dust creating things you might regret".
All well. Got Neeru Fireblade from my pack, so...yay?
I think you're overestimating the amount of effort that they're putting into Brawls these days.
It's a pity they don't have a dedicated Brawl developer anymore, because it used to be something to look forward to each week and it led to several innovations as well.
It's at that time that you realize "this card is still in Standard."
Even as a fringe card, it wasn't played for long, as the questline provides a much better incentive for going through your entire deck in record speed.
