This is interesting. Compare this collectable version of the card to Anti-magic Shell of old, 1 mana decrease does make some sense. At 4 mana, I would say this spell was the worst option out of the uncollectable Death Knight cards back in KotFT. The unholy rune requirement makes sense, seeing as you'll be summoning lots of tokens, a nice board wide buff is just what you need in an unholy aggro token DK deck :)
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
The +1+1 buff is minute, and this card costs 3. Forget about the 'elusive' keyword because if ever you're playing a card like this then youre likely an aggro deck where this keyword matters very little.
Would likely see some niche play simply because unholy decks will likely flood board so often its hard for this card to never see any value. But I dont like the card's chances. It'll be that 29th card in the 30 list, to be cut whenever there's something better.
Does that mean that the rest of the OG Lich King's drops are yet to be revealed as collectible, or are they stopping at 2?
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Army of the dead got altered, so that leaves doom pact and mortal coil. And its highly unlikely that those cards doesn't get a nod in some form. Its practically the two best lich king cards.
The only one I dont think will ever come intact is death grip and death & decay. These two might just be broken without alteration.
So it now costs 1 less mana, is only runable as long as you run a unholy rune, a.k.a. the "token/corpse generators" rune but gives 1/1 less stats? The original was one of the, if not the best DK card and honestly i feel like this might have just been a buff. The additional stats were often not even the best thing about the original. The best thing about it was the "your minions cant be targetted by spells and hero powers" part, and now you get that for 1 less mana. And for a spell being locked behind a rune, the unholy rune is honestly THE best rune for it. Yeah this is a incredibly strong card. Most classes dont run many board wipe cards, just look at Druid which mostly runs smaller "deal x damage" to a minion spells. This will be very powerfull.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Feels like a pointless gimmick. Spellproof on wide boards is rarely that useful. I'd rather spend my mana on even more ghouls instead of trying to buff the few I have.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
