I get the idea, but this really could have been a 2/2 and it would have been balanced.
It's basically "here's something to do for your lategame deck on turns 1-3" but it doesn't really contest anything.
It's basically a worse [Hearthstone Card (Firefly) Not Found] and FIrefly was good in a way less efficient meta than this one.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
This seems a bit useless. You get another 1/2 in your hand that gives you a 1/2 if you play it after your board has been cleared.
Good in murloc or swarm type decks because you'll always mulligan for your 1 drops and this card is technically just Fire Fly in murloc form.
Unfortunately, at the end its still a 1/2 and in 2023 there's no reason to believe a vanilla 1/2 on 1 is good enough. Hell, bring firefly back to standard and Im not even sure it gets a nod anywhere now.
Good idea of paper, probably awkard af in practice. Still it might just see play because it's a Fire Fly esk card, so idunno.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
But Fire Fly was consistent, this Saxophone Soloist is pretty conditional.
And the flavor text just hit a little too close from real life :
He used to play to crowds of adoring Murlocs, but 20 years later all that's left is gigs at secluded clubs and regrets. Where did all the time go? His dreams of fame and fortune, snuffed out like the flame of a small candle in a dimly lit bar. Nothing but smoke in the wind.

A conditional... Fire Fly... Granted, Fire Fly didn't make itself infinitely, but the tribe and the effect seems a bit at odds with each other, to say the least.
