Hot or Not: Titans Nerf Predictions
It's that time again... I was clearing out a number of the cards that I have excess of 2 and holding back on some that could have shown to be abusable for potential nerfs. So far, it feels like classes vs cards that are getting busted with the release of Titans. That being said, I think that the most cumbersome of cards that I am seeing being a pain and having people gripe enough about them to get Blizz to nerf them... oddly enough is Fate Splitter. I totally could be wrong, but the things I am seeing on how it interacts with From De Other Side is kinda ridiculous.
Do I think that is enough to nerf this... not really. That combo requires you to last against the obviously heavy aggro scene after a release. Against most decks, that Shaman build just dies. But if you're playing against control, it certainly does make it a less fun game.
So lets open up the discussion... what does everyone else think the nerfs are going to be?
This is not a salt thread. Granted a lot of predictions are probably based on dying to crap interactions with cards, but it is solely to see what others think of what's going on with the meta.

Its funny, because I first thought that the titan cards were OP, but turns out that hearthstone is moving so radically on power levels that even the titans dont really do much else other than stall a turn. And that's partially because of the copy mechanic. Play your titan, then your opponent copies it and then punish you hard. Its likely the only reason why cards like eonar, or norgannon cannot actually see play. Perhaps team5 can just set so titan cards cant be copied.
Nerf candidates;
- Drum Circle is moving towards the realms of bs, as most druid cards tend to be. Basically drum druid forces you to either tech starfish or die on turn 7 and below. I feel a 1 mana nerf would be sufficient to cut the crap. Team5 seriously needs to understand that druid doesn't have to be feast or famine to be viable.
- I really think this is unfair to hunter, but something needs to be done to hound hunter before it basically takes over the next expansion as well. The deck isn't really overpowering, but it does sometimes feel that hunter is unstoppable, especially when they curve well.
But honestly, if you push King Krush off core, hound hunter will drastically weaken. Its really krush that wins most games for them.
Honorable mentions:
- Team5 should consider removing windfury from the sparkbots. Roll windfury and win, that's the entire deck.
- Fate Splitter should work as per the card description. It shouldn't be working as it is currently with From De Other Side
- At some point I think DK's rune system needs reworking. Blood DK has been the same bar maybe 5 cards difference for the last 3 expansions now. At what point do we concede that triple rune cards are absolutely undroppable? Cant build anything interesting because its always asking the question of why drop the triple rune cards.
In my opinion to fix hunter, the most problematic card is Star Power. In general this is very stupid card. 15 damage on the board for 5 mana. This means that no midrange deck can beat hunter, cos whole board is just cleared with either hound or this. But imo hound is much better card and it came on turn 6.
What is the interaction with Fate Splitter and From De Other Side?
Back on the topic, perhaps it could be Spirit of the Frog, as the deck could probably kill faster than Blizzard wants the games to last for, and I would not be surprised if it was even banned. Or perhaps a nerf to Flash Lightning to hit the deck variants in both Standard and Wild. For other classes, perhaps Sif and something Hunter nerf?

It already is working as the card description. If you don't attack with Fate Splitter, it dies to From De Other Side. At least it was my experience, i didn't try or see that if it keeps giving a copy of From De Other Side if you trade with Fate Splitter.
Fate Splitter gives back From De Other Side if you let it die to From De Other Side.
So it causes unending board fill with Blightblood Berserker at fatigue. It doesn't have to be fatigue as long as you have them on hand tho. You just need 2x Blightblood Berserker with 1x Fate Splitter.
Back to the topic, I believe Blood DK's maximum health gains started to be most disturbing mechanic of the game. I mean, you can gain a lot of health without anything to spend and you draw cards. You had to play 7 deathrattle cards and spend 5 mana to gain +10 health with priest back then in the times of Amara, Warden of Hope. That's just ridiculous.
It is also not just that, DK needs a real rework in my opinion. A class shouldn't be capable of everything on every time. I can understand that in an expansion it has token synergy, the other it has control setups etc. but DK has all synergies on same time period. It has draw engine, aggro engine, control engine, token engine, combo engine, heal engine and even have anti synergy for Highlander Decks for wild with TITANS etc. Dk needs a rework. Its class identity is just a lot for Hearthstone. Look at Demon Hunter, it has its own good things and bad things but DK is just good at everything and that's not fun in my opinion.
Unpopular Opinion Incarnate
I agree, I wouldn't dust any extra copies of Star Power and if Warrior was a more powerful class right now, I'd put Bellowing Flames in the same boat.
I hope we might see some buffs in the next few weeks.
Granted Krush is the one batting clean up... the qualm is that hound is able to be tutored or copied and then buffed with things like Always a Bigger Jormungar to board wipe and recover gross amount of life lost. In this case I don't think it's the hammer that ends up winning the game, it's all the other nails holding the coffin door down leading up to it.
Far as my own experience goes, Fate Splitter will still generate From De Other Side even if he rammed into another minion.
Star power gets lots of hate because its so efficient as a board clear.
But hearthstone in 2023 doesnt end simply with a board clear. In most cases you'll easily be able to reload again. Getting double krushed however is 90% of the time going to win you the game. The other 10% is you somehow win from chip damage and then the single krush is enough.
I was just about to open a thread about Fate Splitter/From De Other Side when I saw this one. IMO, this interaction should not be allowed. It's literally infinite repeats of From De Other Side.

What kills me is that even if the Splitter dies to a minion when attacked, it won't count it as that... it will default to the spell. Which is why that needs to be nerfed/erratae
