Powerful effect, bit random though. really good if the enemy's board is empty to go SMOrc. Should be removed fast so could bait removal, but it's not a good card when you're behind against high health minions or a wide board. looks alright to me, but not broken
Better than GoT finale :P
Instant craft if you play mech Hunter. Also great if you play a highlander deck with mechs. It could work in an aggro smorc deck too. Even hunter in wild seems fun to play too. Great card!
Ooh this card could become a problem, 2 mana "Deal 7 damage" is REAL strong
If it hits a minion then it's a big swing,if not you are in a bad spot. I hate these kind of randomness.
wait we don't have a keyword for that ability? something... i don't know... maybe animate something like that
To think I needed your comment to make me realize its an inspire effect
I brought shame to my famiri
"Inspire"? It's a shame Blizz doesn't want to bring that keyword again, it was a fun mechanic.
*Edit: If it was sarcasm, I'm really bad at noticing lol
yes it was sarcasm, but don't worry bruh =D. thank you for the answer =)
This card is really busted the health makes it hard to kill, the effect can keep a clean board for a while (possibly is rng) and the minion itsself is very synergizable with other hunter cards (the mech keyword)
2 mana for a partial random fireball and guaranteed 2 damage face sounds like a good deal.
No way this card will be bad.
inspire hunter lol. unfortunately its not odd-costed, i would love to play the cancer odd hunter with this
this. is. THE MOST FUN CARD IN WILD. probably. Inspire hunter maybe? Seems fun though and hopefully i will get one to try it out! 3/5 for me!
seems like hunter is going to get a hero power theme im hoping it doesnt fail like mage on rasthakhan
eh, I hope I'm surprised but I don't expect much from this in standard, at least not until rotation in April. We still have about 115 or so cards to go, so maybe this has some merit
Good base for Zilliax, even more on curve
Considering the target is random, this is nowhere close to the ballista that shot down Rhaegal
yeah, it's all the other ones that couldn't hit Drogon
the keyword is random. Feels like a less consistent thunderhead
The key words are "random enemy." Not "random enemy minion." This is a turn 6 play most of the time; or it's a base for Zilliax. Very good card.
Ragnaros the Firelord.
If we consider the play turn, ballista deals nearly the same damage output, 7 (vs 8), has a weaker body 5 (vs 8), but it comes in 2 turns earlier (3 in Even!), and can actually attack on its own (increasing total damage to 10 from 2nd turn onwards).
And it is a Mech.
This card is just as strong as Rag in the vast majority of cases. If not outright stronger.
