Duskbringer was a good card, this is also a good card. We'll still have to see if there are enough dragons to support a Dragon Warlock, but this may just find itself part of a small dragon package in a control warlock deck.
Why not? One or two good dragon class cards can make a dragon deck viable. For example Dragon Priest was played because of Drakonid Operative and later Duskbreaker, not because the Priest class has particular synergy with dragons.
The class that would in theory have the most dragon synergy would be Shaman, because dragons often use battlecries. But Dragon Shaman has never been particularly good because there were no class-specific dragon cards.
This looks really good. Hellfire is extremely common, and Abyssal Enforcer is used a lot as well. I think those two are the best comparison, although a lot of people talking about Duskbreaker aren't wrong in that comparison as well. Lots of dragons around now, even decent neutral ones, so I think this will rock.
Seems good for some kind of control warlock. Only real problem is that its dragon and not demon. If we get many good dragons this may enable control dragon warlock.
It's not the same with Warlock as right now Zoo support is already effective enough—not seeing much other control build around in standard. Wild just has better removals and the decks of warlock in wild right now don't need mediocre board clears.
that card is a must include in every warlock deck it's better than hellfire per +1 mana and a 5/5 body include and the only requirement it's a dragon, that's broken.
The obvious comparison is Duskbreaker, which was extremely good. This comes one turn later, which could be a concern, but provides much better stats to make up for it. The self-damage could be an issue, but Nether Breath helps there. And in Wild, Lesser Amethyst Spellstone turns the self-damage into an upside.
The five mana cost is the real reason why this may not be as busted as it seems. Seems like you'd much rather play hellfire in most cases and if you're doing that then there's few reason to ever play this on curve. Still, a 5/5 body is not to be underestimated.
This may slot into handlock pretty neatly. 4 mana giant followed by a massive board wipe that leaves your giant alive. Need more support for dragonlock for this to shine in mid game.
That this can't find a place into Galakrond zoo means its a well thought out design. It could have easily been a 'deal 3 damage to all characters except demons'.

What if Duskbreaker was in warlock pretty much
Need more dragon support to become viable but early signs are good. God AoE for any control deck to utilize + a decent body
Abyssal enforcer just got upgraded, this is now almost as good as flamestrike with a 5/5 body for 2 less mana. Crazy good.
Like Ambyssal Enforcer, but even spookier. So much Dragon support, very spooky
Hellfire on legs will always see play, Abyssal Enforcer was a must include in all Warlock decks until it rotated in standard.
Condition aside this is just a better Dread Infernal
Well, now I want to see the Warlock legendary Dragon! Add Twilight Drake, Nether Breath and you have a nice removal and pretty solid board presence.
you're right. the cards they released today hopefully mean the legendary class card will be a doooooozy

Maybe someone manages to make a good one-of warlock deck that contains enough synergy do add this to the deck?
it's a very good card, but we all know dragon warlock won't ever exist
