Sacrifice warlock, some eggs, some imps, and plague of flames. Or necrium rogue: with the new necrium apothekary this will see play in the memyer versions of deathrattle rogue.
If you can fairly consistently get a very large dragon out of it, it might just be usefull enough in an egg-zoolock though just running sea giant should be more consistent.
Mechano-Egg is just better. A consistent 8/8 Mech whilst the egg itself is also a Mech. Now this is a neutral card but this is simply too expensive. Any Battlecry Dragon won't trigger said Battlecry so the pool of good Dragons will be limited. Last thing you want is to play this and have your choices be Faerie Dragon, Nightmare Amalgam and Twilight Drake.
Nice it has low health so its easier to kill off, but I think at 5 mana this thing is simply too slow.
Mechano-Egg only saw play due to magnetic synergy and also Kangor's Endless Army. This will not find a place in Quest Paladin, just too expensive with little synergy. The card also has lots of bad hits, the variation on dragons is pretty high and many of them are powerful battlecries and are not suited well for a card like this. Don't think this will see play.
Seems a bit weak compared to say Mechano-Egg. Even if you get a better dragon from Discover, you then have to proc it without the advantage of being a Mech (and magnetize). Seems too hard to make worthwhile.
Too expensive to play then to try and activate it and wait a turn to make use of the dragons effect. Some Mana cheat for the bigger dragons but due to this expansion the dragon pool is gonna get wider and it might wiff more often. Cool design though. Hopefully it can be improved upon next iteration.
I like the mystery aspect of the card but I think the dragon pool is too large to provide consistency. Although I can see thing being in one of those montage videos
At present standard we already have better big deathrattles like Mechanical Whelp and Mechano-Egg which at very least can be cheated out without the need of a battlecry. Until those rotate, this will only be at the fringes of playable, and only because of its cost and potential rewards (12/12 deathwing, ysera, or malygos would be disgusting)
Downsides at present overweight the upside. Can't play this in plot twist warlock, or resurrect priest, can't give this reborn for double value, and if it gets pulled from hand its just a 0/3 piss in the wind. And it also nerfs Myra Rotspring and other discover deathrattle cards. Oh, and its an epic card as well, so if you're planning to test this card out then its all up to rng whether you get this card off packs or not.
Can someone confirm if the double battlecry will hatch you up for two dragons. If yes, then this might find itself into some greedy decks.
Can work in deathrattle rogue but it's a bit too slow. Maybe Anka can discount it to make it better? Otherwise, this card is pretty bad in anything else
a silly question but if you cast reborn on this would the reborn minion summon anything or would it work like the other battlecry =gain a deathrattle minions
The reborn copy will be fresh - it will not have the dragon chosen, and won't summon anything. Think of reborn as summoning a fresh copy of the minion at 1 health (This is why all buffs don't stick to reborn minions).
It is hard to evaluate when we don't yet know the full pool of dragons it can offer, but while there are a few really good picks such as Deathwing, Ysera and Kalecgos, you also run the risk of being offered a choice between Faerie Dragon, Brightwing and Twilight Drake. Overall, I think a card this expensive and slow has to be more reliable to be worth it.
Interesting concept. It can find it's place in a lot of decks, the obvious choice being Deathrattle Rogue. But there are better choices. Maybe for Warlock?
Comments
Another Egg for zoolocks and eggdruids, it's on average better than the other eggs, so it's an easy fit on those egg decks.
It's a battlecry. So it can not be revived or cheated. If you don't cheat you don't win these days. 3/5
on everage it going to be a 6/7 and that very weak for a 5 mana egg

IDK kinda lame

The power level of this egg depend greatly on how the discover mechanics works when triggered twice
if, like Archivist Elysiana, the second battlecry cancel the first then the egg power level is ok but nothing crazy.
if Spirit of the Shark make this egg spawn two dragons, then we have a huge contestant here

FUN!!! I love its flavor, and the fact that it's secret. Probably not super strong, but FUN!

This card's NEAT and I like the flavor but it just seems so SLOW
I guess you could use it in a sacrifice warlock deck or something?
