Somewhat comparable for Flamewreathed Faceless except you trade off the 2-attack for 2 spell damage. This is good for additionally controlling the board.
might be strong, might even be very strong. i don't know yet. definitely a strong turn 4 play, kinda like faceless 4 mana 7/7. the -2 atk is good, might even do more dmg with the spellpower though
Great vaule for mana, opens some sudden spell finishers, but I don't think this fits into any current deck and there is lack of additional support for it.
Yeah, Perfect. One of the biggest problems that shaman has is to try and obtain was with to get a good Spell Power Card, and this is one of them. And even losing 4 Mana for the next turn is pretty rough, but you’re able to push the pressure away. just be cautious about your Mana Crystals though, especially it’s the early game.
with no tunnel trogg it's not such a big deal.. the real problem card then wasn't the 4 mana 7/7 but the 1 drop that spiraled out of control... I read someone who researched how powerful it was.. not VERY powerful, when it wasn't played on curve it was MEH..
the question about this card is how powerful is the spell damage in shaman.. this is not karazhan where it mattered for spirit claws or the portal.. so.. ye
In the new cards I see a lot of support for an overload/burn deck. This could slot in as a finisher, activating overload effects and enhancing burn damage in one beefy go.
While Spell Damage hasn’t been terribly powerful in the past, it’s worth noting that typically it’s seen in Mage and most cheap mage spells aren’t burn spells. Shaman gets a lot of cheap burn, primarily because of Overload. Also, Mage tends to pay for its SD, but this seems like a bonus, even with the Overload factored in.

Overload shaman is already too powerful, this plus vessina and the nimbus cards maybe in a galakrond deck seems very shiny.

4 mana 5/7 dragon with spell damage +2 enough said. Doubt you even need any dragon synergy to run this card. Seems very solid all around.
4 mana 5/7 with +2 spell damage is crazy, you can put that on the board and the use a board clear on turn 7 and that's great.

almost 6 mana stat and on top of that it have spell power in class with 6 1 mana face targeting spell in standart
It's got good stats for cost and spell damage, which has always been a shaman's friend.
The overload is MINOR compared to the upside
This card is on a stronger side for card dump. Can definitely see it in overload shaman with some spell burst too.

That's a chunky body with Spell Damage, Overload and Dragon synergy. I'd say it's good.
a bunch of overload in the next turn
Squal sees stats, squal plays stats
Then squal gets his ass kicked by Dragonmaw Poacher and cry
The overload is really huge, and if you play the other overload spell cards, it might just be too much for the next turn to take. That's it really.

+2 spell damage! Amazing for wild and standard.
6 mana stats for 4+ overload 2, + Spelldamage. Seems broken enough for this expansion.
ehh I dont think spell damage is that strong.
It might see play because of the dragon tag and the overload synergy.
never underestimate 4 mana overload 2 cards. ptsd incoming
