DoD Pack Opening Thread

Didn't see one so thought I'd kick it off - how'd everyone do with their pack openings?

Opened: 153

Legendaries: 8 (1 golden)

Nithogg - Meh not super impressed with this, but we'll see how it goes?

Mindflayer Kaahrj - Ditto. 

Deathwing, Mad Aspect - Happy with this one. Definitely going to run Dragon Warrior

Flik Skyshiv - Very solid card. Will find lots of use.

Chenvaala - Nice, I'll throw it in my Wild Odd DK Jaina Elemantal deck

Frizz Kindleroost - Woot!!!

Waxadred - Oh the incoming memes... 

Veranus (Golden) - Not bad, Let's give it a whirl

Epics: 34 (WOWZA!!) 2 Golden

I think RNGesus heard me talking about how much I was going to meme it up with Shuffle Transmogrifier Warlock because of those Epics, he(?) was FIVE of them, including 1 of the 2 goldens

Overall I'm very pleased - got a few of the legendaries I would have crafted, plus my hit rate was slightly better than" average" I think (isn't it on avg 20 packs - legendary, 5 packs - Epic?)

  • I only opened about 30-35 packs but I got four legendaries, which is pretty good. 

    I got the priest 3/3 legendary which sucks because I don't play priest. I also got Veranus and Ancharrr which is pretty cool. But my favorite is Kronx Dragonhoof which I would have had to craft because he is just so good.

    Overall I would say I had pretty good luck opening packs.

      Amazing! I came to complain I only got 2 legendaries in 50 packs (veranus and the deathrattle priest one), and only a few meme eipcs...

      In one of the most powerful expansions ever, I am pretty disappointed haha

    5 legendaries (Kronx, Ysera, Bandersmosh, Goru, Chenvaala)

    I know I shouldn't be disappointed because it's basically the average of 1 legendary every 20 packs, but it does feel kinda meh.

    That said at least I got most relevant epics (and most irrelevant ones as well) and only miss a few rares (and Whispers of EVIL for some reason. You'd think you'd find all commons in 103 packs)

     

    At the end of the day I'm not really upset, because I can basically play all Galakrond decks without having to craft any more cards for now and I get to try treant Druid right away.

    1. Ancharrr : on the first pack, well currently blizz want me to go sailing

    2. Dragonrider Talritha : i'm happy but curious will i ever use it for laddering..

    3. Mindflayer Kaahrj : let's go

    4. Flik Skyshiv : very interesting effect, i will put it to good use

    5. Waxadred : as a rogue main, i'm happy to get all class legendaries. Time to start meme-ing!

    75/5 = 15 packs/legend, plus many of class specific epics, i guess my luck is above average..

  • Similar experience to ArngrimUndying, I got 7 legendaries and 37 epics (5 being golden) in 151 packs. Pretty happy overall, especially the crazy amount of epics!

    140 packs:

    6 legendaries +1 gooden from pre order.

    27 normal + 2 golden epics.

    I've got 6 Hunter epic weapon! What is the probability of finding same epic 6 times!

    I think the time that you started opening your packs is effecting which cards to be found and your chance of finding legendaries.

    Whatever one of my worst pack openings in my entire HS history (in numbers my luck is average but the legendaries I've found are not the good ones. In that part I was unlucky) ..

    A golden Chenvaala from pre-order. About 1 legendary every 8,75 packs (ofc. Excluding the pre-order golden legendary.) Really lucky of ya ask me!

    Also didn't completely fill in all the names, cuz i'm on mobile and i don't know the full names of the cards....

  • For the third time in a row I got a very poor opening session (in both numbers and names), which makes me really sad since I was really looking forward to get some good stuff

    22 Epics (ZERO FUCKING GOLDENS it's statistically possible but what the fuck dude, 3 Ramming Speed, 4 Dragon's Pack and 3 Lightforged Crusader)

    F—k you, I’m Epically Annoying: Received five copies of Dread Raven, which I foresee myself never using. Am missing a lot of epics though.
    DUSTED ON SIGHT: Gold Skyfin. Death to murloc decks.

    Alternated card backs every 10 or 20 packs. Best card backs? Power Core (3 legendaries in 20 packs), Suramar (only 8 no new card packs and 8 40 & Dust late in the collecting, plus 1 legendary in 20 packs), and Shado-Pan (2 legendaries out of 20 packs).

  • 70 packs on two accounts each. Opened total of 6 legendaries each, one golden. Pretty happy so far but the epics sucked hard as always. 

  • Opened 82 packs, got 4 legendaries.

    Veranus - interesting, might be very useful in a dragon-heavy meta

    Bandersmosh - don't like it, but will give it a try

    Malygos, Aspect of Magic - nice!

    Waxadred - really hoped for this, so happy!!

    Zzeraku the Warped - meh.

    Dragonqueen Alexstrasza - second must have, yayyyy

    Mindflayer Kaahrj - will find a home in Kovachuts wild thief priest

    Dragonbane - interesting, something I'd like to try but wouldn't have crafted

    Kronx Dragonhoof - YEEEEEEEEEEEES

    ... which makes 10 out of 126, insane luck :-)))

    Only day 1 crafts were Ancharrr and Heistbaron Togwaggle for Pirate Warrior and Galakrond Rogue. I'm considering Nithogg (rated it bad but seems to be good after all) and / or Vessina for todays messing around with shaman before it gets nerfed.

  • Opened 40 packs at first, that gave me Dragonbane in the very first pack (hype!), followed by 39 packs of nothing (boo).

    So I bought a 41th pack to hit my pity timer and got Dragonrider Talritha.
