Just made it (exactly :D ) to 8000 in Battlegrounds and then I found the post here from a month ago that from 8000 you are in the top 0.1%?
Is  this true?

Anyway, was not so difficult to climb when you play more conservative and you still win the lobby sometimes in that way. 

You only end up bottom of top 4 when RNG f***s you really really hard.

I remember when that information was released and so still believe it is a little puffed up. I was 7800 at the time and wanted to take the compliment but to be honest I think I am just intermediate. There are ppl that play at 11k who are the true .1%, not us

yes, most likely its like that. But then, on the other hand it probably depends with "whom" you compare. 

They also say that Legend is still 0.01% of all HS players (out of 100 Mio). But from those 100 Mio some might only play once per month, so you cannot really count them. 

Statistics - never trust them ;)
