New MMR is a mess

So i had 11 stars, hit legend, game put me in legend 9k. I said "ok now i can meme around" big mistake. Suddenly i was like 12k, but this time every time i won a game, it wouldnt give me any points, so i kept losing OR winning, but NEVER gaining points, now im a constant legend player stuck in rank 17k playing versus silver ranks that dont even have a full deck, just kinda new players.
HS is dead for the memes, im missing the old rank 5 or legend dumpster
now i dunno if i can fix this problem, dont make the same mistake.

Something does seem screwy, you shouldnt able to tank your mmr down EVER if you've hit legend. There needs to be a floor so people can do EXACTLY as you want to, get to the rank then play fun stuff.
I gather because you're getting matched against people who are rated lower than you winning against them isnt going to raise your MMR. (or negligible)
I'm always around rank 20-15 in the old system always playing fun/meme decks but in the early part off this season I was facing off against legend card back guys who definitely werent playing meme decks they were there for the wins.
I just auto conceeded to those guys since it was wasting both of our times, eventually my mmr became better(worse) and the matches seemed fairer , more balanced.
We'll have to see how it goes next season.
How do you know you are fighting silver rank players?
I've seen a lot of players complaining about being at low ranks and cueing up against Legend players, and vice versa. But you can't see the other person's rank, so how on earth could you know if they are Legend of not? I guess I could understand if you aren't a very experienced .player and you cue up against someone with a 1,000 win portrait, the legend cardback, and a T-1 deck you might feel a bit cheated. But complaining about the rank of your opponent seems a bit silly when you can't actually know their rank.

Legend players can see their opponents rank
I reached legend in wild this morning and since then I've been able to see the ranks of my opponents again. So far I've only played 3 or 4 matches, all of them against players between diamond 9 and diamond 5. I don't like this very much. I don't want to be in the way of people who are still trying to climb but I can't concede every single match. And then there's OPs problem of me trying to play meme decks and constantly running into T1 decks.
On the bright side, I'm sure the devs are monitoring the new ladder closely and as fast as they act these days, maybe we'll get a fix for this soon.
I notice I am confused. Something I believe isn't true. How do I know what I think I know?

Well, question asked and answered. My mistake.

I don't think it's fair to read too much into the new system based on how the wild ladder's MMR works - wild is known to have far fewer players, so it's naturally going to be harder to get a decent match-up for every game
