What a strange choice of day 1 reveal card.
Maybe goes in some sort of inner fire deck?
I can't imagine it going anywhere else when northshire cleric exists.
Why do they keep pushing these high statted vanilla minions? Sure they may be balanced or a little weak, but overall they are not very interesting and the space they take up in a set could be saved for an actually interesting card.
Already an attempt to bring back Inner Fire priest? With two PW: shield you can get 8/8 on turn 2 (or turn 1 with coin).
We'll have to see if there are any cheap buff spells, but I like that we're getting closer and closer to a Zoo Priest being a thing.
As someone who recently graduated from college, I think I'm going to find a lot of these cards relatable in their flavor. This title sure sums up how I was in my first year, lol. It looks like it could be a good base card for enhancements or a first turn sticky card.
No text? A 1 mana 1/4 seems really good in priest. Are they pushing Inner Fire Priest? if so: PLEASE NO! That is THE most boring/annoying archetype to play against. "okay i left 1 minion alive on 1 health... okay my opponent heals it... What's he gonna do with that... OH NO I'M DEAD". I pray we won't get an Divine Spirit like card this expansion... please blizzard don't do this....
But this card is also pretty decent in a more tempo focused priest with Dragonmaw Overseer.
Aggro Combo Priest 2.0 - less card draw, more card power. Non-control priest will be a thing this year, I know it.
Is this the first no-text class card in the game?
I already hate this card with a burning passion, every time a card like this is printed it's run in most decks at least as far as I can usually tell so looks great in a vacuum.

They were lazy to a add some text so instead they gave him more health. I wonder what the flavor text will be.
Northshire doesn't exist in Standard...
I don't think the card needs to be for a big flashy Inner Fire combo. One buff from Dragonmaw Overseer or Apotheosis and it has plenty of attack and health to do some serious early-mid game work.

this basically confirms that there won't be a 2-mana buff spell for Priests because if there was we'd all be screwed

Now this is quite a development for the game if 1 mana 1/4s with no downsides are now okay to be printed. This will probably be a strong card.
This card will definitely see play in any minion-based priest deck. It is just a good card.
Turn 1: Play this, possibly also a +2 HP Power Word to 6HP.
Turn 2: Double Health to 8-12 HP
Turn 3: Equalize then 8-12 burst damage, (heal with Hero Power before if necessary)
This card was only printed because Divine Spirit was sent to wild
Oh we're going to put this 1 drop in the freaking priest gym with wieghtlifting partners like Kul'Tiran Chaplain and Dragonmaw Overseer and give it buffs like Apotheosis, Psyche Split, and inner fire
Not thrilled with this, but because it has a fat butt it will probably be run in every priest deck
Unexciting, especially day 1, but not a bad card. Buff priest isn't too far off from being okay. A stat stick one drop definitely helps.

I actually don't remember the last time I saw a vanilla card, I don't think this will see use but cool to see some effect-less cards return.
A great tempo 1-drop. It's useless in Galakrond Priest, but maybe as Priest gets more tempo tools (which seems to be a theme this year) this card will see more play in the future.
Its just the stickiest 1 drop right now, there's little to nothing that can shave 4 health off this in turn 1-2 without a minion on board.
But is it going to be useful? Maybe, if tempo priest can ever be a thing.
Otherwise the best thing about this card is that it dilutes galakrond's wit, and that is something I can consider as a plus.
It might have some use in a more aggressive, minion based priest deck. Priest has plenty of buffs. But is such a deck any good?
Blazing Battlemage and Dire Mole might be more apt comparisons. (Former has beast tag; latter has none)

This guys looks like Ron Weasley, doesn't he? With you from the beginning, somewhat simple but sturdy.
Seems fine, but needs a lot of support to make it good. Could be good with Inner Fire, and maybe the Paladin/Priest dual class card will be a cheap buff to make this more compelling.

Well, Zoo Priest has a couple of interesting cards that can snowball. If Zoo Priest exists, this card will be in it, and the deck can be an anti-aggro aggro deck if you add stuff like Apotheosis to the deck, for example.
EDIT: They also got Power Word: Feast and, to a certain extent, Gift of Luminance. Tempo priest can definitely be a thing.
If Tempo Priest is a thing, this card will be auto-include. It just needs a little bit more to put it over the edge though.
No, Divine Spirit died for this. Just think: turn 1: this. Turn 2: Radiant Elemental, coin, Power Word Shield x2, Divine Spirit, Inner Fire = 16/16 on turn 2.

Two words: power & creep.
In the right deck, this is a great target for buffs, and the Hearthstone team has been trying to push Priest in a more "tempo/aggro" direction. This is not the card to singlehandedly accomplish that, but it's a step towards a better early game.

Strange card...
Can be used on turn 1 agaist agro deck to make some value/free trade. Can also enable this play:
turn 1: Frazzled Freshman
turn 2: Kul Tiran Chaplain
turn 3: Dragonmaw Overseer
However i'm not sold on this card. I don't think card will find a spot in the majority of decks

Ahh the new generation of tempo 1-drop. Surely be checking this out on release
Don’t see this seeing much play without a decent buff spell to curve into
Frazzled Freshman makes sense in a Tempo Buff Priest, but the real question is will Tempo Buff Priest make sense as a deck and in the meta. The main issue with Tempo Buff Priest is that they're all in early game with no way to reload midgame except for Sethekk Veilweaver. If cards get introduced that fix this problem, then I think the archetype as well as Frazzled Freshman will see play.
Incredible Stats, great for early Buffs - will see no Play. Cause it's Priest. And Tempo Priest sucks.
You'd have to play this and curve into Power Word: Feast for it to be good. But that's an unreliable 2-Card-Combo early on, and other Classes are just so much more efficient at early Tempo.
Necessity for buff Priest.
I've met a couple aggro/buff priests on ladder this week. If they can play High Priest Amet on 4, they're pretty well off. This new guy could fit that sort of deck pretty well.

This card will be a nightmare to deal with for every class, and I don't see how this doesn't overwhelm the meta.
This is the card that priest really needed. Sticky Turn 1 minion. Really hard to remove. Almost guaranteed to be buffed.
Good in tempo or zoo decks if you can get some early buffs on it.
Two words: Pack & Filler.
Turn 1: Frazzled Freshman
Turn 2: Power Word: Feast attack opponents minion and heal to full at the end of the turn.
Turn 3: Opponent concedes.
It will happen.
What I'm excited for is the turn 1 nuts hand of Frazzled Freshman, 2x Power Word: Shield, and Inner Fire. Forget Flesh Giant, get hyped for the freshman 15. . . er, 8.

Above premium stats for a 1 drop. With some luck on the next 2 turns use it as a buff target and put a lot of pressure on the next turns
This card doesn't look that exciting but it might be a sleeper. RIP Northshire Cleric, never forgotten!
I have no words for this monstrosity. Sure it does nothing, but it's 1 mana 1/4... in Priest! Where Inner Fire is still in Standard. I kind of want to put in a trash can, like how people used to do to real freshmen in high school.
Really good for buff decks. But bad card for Galakrond Hero power.
Love it! I've been a big advocate for Priest getting Vanilla or French Vanilla minions that just have really high Health to Attack ratios, and this fits that bill nicely.
Too hard to remove when played early, since it has a ton of health for a 1 cost minion. Will almost certainly see play.
Don't think it's a sleeper many people really see the potential of this cards.. Specially when the archetype is so pushed this expansion.
