Let's begin a card creation competition?

Howdy everyone !
I really enjoy card competition like the ones Hearthpwn hosted. So I was thinking that maybe we should also have this kind of competitions here. It's a chance to share our ideas, talk about new mechanincs & more.
Feel free to share your opinion about this, your ideas about some "themes" etc.
P.S. : As a first theme I would propose : "A pacifist way" where we could create 0-attack cards with a non-violent effect (like dealing X damage), like Cho & Nat. I really don't know if a theme like this already existed.

They did have a "must interact with 0 attack minions" theme recently but it didn't have the pacifist idea along with it.
Creation competitions are very close. We will have a completely dedicated system for it, better than what we could achieve with forum capabilities on hpwn, so give us a little bit more time to bring that to fruition and then we can start right up! ;-)

Well, we could always do this "challenge" as a training, without the function of a real competition..... can't we?
Sure, no one is stopping you from running your own contest or just a thread to post custom cards in :)

I recall that Fan Creation mods always had some 2-4 week hiatus anyway after big competitions ended so it's not just waiting for stuff. If you need "training", we do have this gamethread: https://outof.cards/forums/fan-creations/custom-hearthstone/567-heres-some-art-make-a-card-legacy-game.
Can't wait for the next competition, almost edging to just start one myself.
I do have a suggestion as for picking the winners vs how it worked on HearthPwn:
Show all the submitted entries (just the images + any tokens + flavor text) on page one.
You could submit your card on page three, but the image itself (+ any tokens + flavor text) would be shown on page one at the top in a separate block/list.
That way voters don't have to go through multiple pages and there is no discussions/annoyance anymore from creators about being on page X or page Y.
Maybe you could read all the cardimg blocks from the posts to get the images. Any cardimg blocks in a spoiler block would then be considered as a token. And if you want to use a flavor text, you can put in italic and read out the italic blocks. That way you have a fixed format for creators to adhere to and a way to show all the cards created in one clear list. I'd also add that you can't upvote until the card submission period is completed. Otherwise those who quickly put up an image might get more votes simply because visitors saw it early.
Just a few thoughts for improvement for the new forum. :P
Worry not! Like i said, we will have a dedicated system for it, for example not relying on which page you submit at all (and more) ;-)

Is it weird that I'm more excited for this reveal than for the new expansion? Really looking forward to it!
Communism is just a red herring
Not at all! Custom Comps are going to level up and a half. It's nice when the boundaries of your imagination are the only limitation for card creation facilitation.

My body is ready for this new custom card creation contests!
Yeah, I know at least an in-site card-creator is coming and I know these kind of things takes time to create while there is already an upcoming content to hearthstone -a new reveal season and the stuff mods need to do pile up while keeping the site usable to consumers and there are some site contents to do also. That's so much stuff to work. and there is the fact as Satisfying people is one of the hardest things on the world. :D
I know you guys doing your best. Keep it up, we can wait :)

If anyone is interested, HearthPwn recently begun Season 10 of their WCDCs. The theme this week is literally just "make a Reborn minion".
What do people normally use to create custom cards? Like software wise.

To make custom Hearthstone cards, people use HearthCards. It can do basically everything. Here's the link: http://hearthcards.net/

When OoC gets their own, eventually, I'd like it to be WAY more organised and user friendly than what Hearthcards has. It's a literal headache to look at
