  • New Mage Minion - Kel'Thuzad, the Inevitable

This seems like as one of the very powerful finishers for the Volatile Skeleton deck, the other one probably being Sire Denathrius... Unless Kel'Thuzad, the Inevitable is enough. This is a must-include for any Volatile Skeleton deck, and maybe also a inclusion for decks that run a bunch of Volatile Skeleton cards.

  • New Mage Spell - Vengeful Visage

Not sure how to feel about this card. If Secret mage gets any kind of support this set, than maybe it sees play. Otherwise i'm not so optimistic. I dont think mage wants a combination of Eye for an Eye and Shadow Clone.

  • Today's Castle Nathria Card Reveal is Sinstone Graveyard, a New Rogue Location Card (Updated)

Power level aside, Castle Nathria is in the Shadowlands, which is basically the realm after death. And now they have their own graveyard in the realm of death? A bit much don't you think?

  • Am I the only one

Figuring out the bosses , to me, is a two shot attempt at most. But getting to them intact? That's the trick nobody ever shows or talks about. I want to see the dozens of retries getting to the boss. At least a little more detail on how to beat the climb of these bounties would be nice. Not "This one is the easiest yet" as an answer.

  • New Mage Spell - Deathborne

Rancor is i.m.o. still not that good of a card, because it has trouble with dealing with board cuz everything around turn 3-4 already has 3+ health. So i'm not sure why tf this is 6 mana. In the reveal video it was 5 mana, and it still looked not that strong at 5 mana, but the pre-maturely nerfed it. Not that i'm complaining about the fact they nerf cards before they release (I like that actually) but it seems weird that they nerfed this card. There probably has to be some reason that we haven't seen yet.

Also Deathborne costs the same as Blizzard. Except Freeze is often better for some than summoning a few minions. This card also REALLY reminds me of Blast Wave, which was a very bad card. (As someone that included this in casino mage... i cut it because it almost never overkilled.)

This is Abyssal Wave 2.0.... Very overpriced but still included because the Volatile Skeleton deck NEEDS it.

  • BlizzCon is Coming Back in 2023 - Blizzard's President, Mike Ybarra, Commits to the Return of the Yearly Community Gathering

This next Blizzcon is going to be one slippery slope for Blizzard to deal with. I wonder how they going to handle all the backlash from the scandals and Diablo Immoral's predatory monetization model.

A lot of fans have realized by now that Blizzard doesn't care about it's players, it cares about player's wallets.

  • New Mage Location - Nightcloak Sanctum

Mages Wildpaw Cavern like card, but it's only every few turns. This seems kinda slow, but freeze effects are very strong so lets not underestimate that. This will see play in the Volatile Skeleton deck, but outside that i'm not sure.

  • New Mage Spell - Cold Case

This seems pretty good for multiple types of mage decks. First of all the Volatile Skeleton deck will obviously include it, but i think some slower/control mage decks will also use it because it's "life gain", which mage often lacks and it summons 2 Volatile Skeleton which fight for board and have that deathrattle that is pretty usefull for dealing with the board. (And sometimes some face dmg.)

Also it's a frost spell, which means it has synergy with the freeze mage stuff from the barrens mini-set.

  • New Mage Spell - Frozen Touch

2 mana deal 3 damage is good enough, and the frost spell-school gives it synergy with all the frost cards from the Barrens mini-set. Most of the time the Infuse is probably not going to trigger, but still. 2 mana deal 3 is still good.

  • New Hunter Location - Castle Kennels

Really good location. This will see play in any deck that uses a couple of beasts, and also BIG Beast Hunter will probably include it. This seems pretty good.

  • New Druid Location - Hedge Maze

This seems bad right now, but having the ability to trigger a deathrattle immediately is pretty good. I'm not 100% sure about it, but i'm pretty sure a dev said that druid will get some good deathrattles. Yet again not 100% sure. I think this will 100% see play whenever druid gets some good deathrattles.

In wild, this will see play. Especially in decks like Taunt druid, because you can insta-trigger Hadronox with this... even though Hedge Maze does take up board space.

  • Dragoon Custom Class

Wow! I updated my thread after so long?! UNBELIEVABLE! I got busy with college until three months ago (graduated now!), and I just sorta dick around with my life while also finding jobs...and still haven't gotten any. In the meantime, I finally got time to update shit so...here! All the way from Stormwind miniset until Voyage miniset :D !

Going into the Deadmines now, are we? Well! Aren't ya in luck! Not only are we getting right inside of Deadmines, we are even going to see a lot of Pirates on the way! Everybody loves that tribe, right?
    (beat)
Anyway. Cards. Yes. Deadmines, with one Pirate card for Dragoon and some other assortments of such. This part of the story would also be where Zeelo still kinda dips off after he's involved with Tamsin, helping her out and getting rewarded with getting part of the shard, and goes home back to Gadgetzan...but is he really home? Will he return back to his old friends with a conscience, even if he gets what he needed?

Ah yes, the Alterac Valley. The final countdown as things get rocky, dicey, and any other such metaphors! So many things that can go wrong, will go wrong here at once! As it turns out, oops, Zeelo needs to go back because what he brought back ain't enough for the Gadgetzan peeps. And so, with a heavy heart, he unfortunately needed to catch up to the others he formally forsakes himself...whoops! Returning back to Alterac and fighting with the rest of the Horde, Zeelo figured one of the best ways to fight back is to just send in hordes (ha) and hordes of scrappy little things to overwhelm them stupid Alliance people!
And so, Kraftwerks exists! A Libram-like archetype for Dragoon focusing on the scrappy little 3/3 Rush Mechs that you can upgrade as much as you can! And don't worry, Kraftwerks come with their own unique deckbuilding requirements! Oh, also some Control-ish cards. Which is pretty cool as well.

    Fractured in Alterac Valley

    Tokens:

The Onyxia's Lair! With everything in Alterac blowing off and everyone letting off steam and doing the classic faction rivalry, it's only inevitable that we found out who orchestrated everything, and more importantly for Zeelo, the person who got him in this hullabaloo in the first place! Who else but that stinky dragon-but-disguising-herself-as-a-human woman from the Alliance court? And that troll paying him a fat sum to stay close to Tamsin, too! Oh, those two are gonna pay big time!
Also this is a Dragon set. Works great for me, hahah! Two new Dragons (and the big boy from Stormwind returns to lend her sister a claw!) and one more Kraftwerk support for this set. Good stuff~

    Blizzard: we're bringing Blizzcon back!

    I don't care

  • New Upgrade Available - Card Design Competition Discussion Thread

The set of spellstones I made as a what if DH was around during K&C.

Rush of course wasn't a thing back then and while this was during the period of time where Blizzard just stopped printing minions with Charge, when they did start using it again it was in DH (In fact upon fact checking 2/4 Charge minions printed after Frozen Throne were DH).

Wish I had better art for these, might remove the fel tag since it doesn't have a green glow. Also I'd think it'd be cool if it had a little felwing trapped inside the amber in the pendant.

    Also might up the restriction

  • New Neutral Minion - Sire Denathrius

I wonder if you would want to keep this in your mulligan. Maybe not, but if it stayed in your hand for ten turns in a deck that uses a lot of minions, it could do massive damage and probably win when you play it. I don't see any real mana cheat options for this, since this doesn't have a tribe, and many of them involve summoning the minion from your hand or deck. Might be able to reduce it by 1 or 2 mana.

  • New Hunter Location - Castle Kennels

Looks to be at least a decent card for aggro. Well, more for the attack buff, but even Face Hunter can't entirely ignore the board at all times.

  • New Paladin Location - Great Hall

Doesn't look that exciting. It can buff your smaller minions, or debuff your opponent's bigger minions. It could also discourage your opponent from playing large minions while this is on the board, which might be pretty useful.

    Quote From Cleef2

Thanks for the response, but I believe there is also a "chicken-egg" debate to this. Maybe if this would be available you'll get more people on the site who play and at least you'll be ahead of the competition, which might be relevant when snap becomes big.

With the limited availability of the game, I know we're not missing out on a ton right now. That isn't to say that I didn't want to have a deckbuilder out day 1, we've just got so many ongoing projects on the backend that have taken priority that it's not the the works right now

I've also promised our Yu-Gi-Oh folks that they're getting their deckbuilder first since that tech has been in development for a while now. The Marvel Snap builder is going to be arriving very shortly after the Yu-Gi-Oh one goes live and will be making use of our new direction for what deckbuilders mean on Out of Cards.

  • New Rogue Location - Sinstone Graveyard

If the minion didn't have stealth this card is complete garbage. Fortunately it does, so it might factor into plans a little.

You can build around miracle rogue's shell and create a 7/7 on turn 4-5 along with Field Contact to reload. Then Battleground Battlemaster on 6 for the massive damage to face. Since the card has natural stealth, it would persist on board until removed or you unstealth it by attacking, so you can hold out for a good amount of time for battlemaster to work.

There are some problems around this though. Contact rogue only really works when it is uninteractive, i.e. Garrote, and is substantially worse when it doesn't, like in barrens meta. You might argue that creating a big minion that doesn't necessarily end games, and require massive support may not actually make the cut.

But for the potential alone, its good enough for me. Besides, if it all goes up in smoke, at least this card can make up a 4/4 and feel like its done its job.

  • Today's Castle Nathria Card Reveal is Sinstone Graveyard, a New Rogue Location Card (Updated)

Im aware of that, hence why I didn't write this card off completely, because unlike the poor biteweed that saw zero play, this one has stealth, substantially making it better.

  • New Rogue Location - Sinstone Graveyard

The fact that activating Locations costs 0 makes this so powerful. You don't even need to throw it down on the same turn as your miracle turn, just preload it and wait till the perfect turn.

  • Today's Castle Nathria Card Reveal is Sinstone Graveyard, a New Rogue Location Card (Updated)

People really shouldn't compare this to Biteweed just because the cost and the effect is the same. You don't have to immediately activate the effect the turn you play it. The reason why Biteweed sucked was that the 2 mana cost is just too much to pay since you also have to play a lot of cards before it. But with this card, you only have to worry about planning your big turn ahead. Plus it has Stealth which makes this even better.

Still, for this to see play in standard it needs more support. With the right ones though, I can see this card being absolutely broken. Just pray rogue doesn't get a good 0-mana card.

I am a wild rogue lover so I'm gonna have some real field day with this card.
