  • Cataclysm Card Reveals - Day 9 [Finished]

So they decided to give hunter a 6 mana 8 dmg to the face minion with a big body..........yea lol.

  • Cataclysm Card Reveals - Day 10 [Finished]

Still won't let me edit my comment for some reason, but I just noticed that the Warlock card is called Rafaams' Last Stand. Like, plural possessive Rafaam. This set is so good.

  • Cataclysm Card Reveals - Day 10 [Finished]

Genn, Cursed King - Its certainly an interesting payoff, since upgraded hp even in this meta doesnt count for much unless youre warrior or hunter. At least the conditions for triggering Genn is fairly simple, so you dont actually need to build around this. While I hesitate to call this playable, I can at least say its not a shit card, since at the very least the transformed king has better vanilla stats for a 4 drop.

Broxigar's Last Stand - This card + Remnant of Rage can easily draw your entire deck, perfect for broxigar dhunter. That said, its rather difficult to imagine a group of 1 health tokens being easily available to take full advantage of it, and dangerous cliffside is rotating.

  • Cataclysm Card Reveals - Day 10 [Finished]

Very cute, I love that they're actively continuing the plot of Across the Timeways into actual cards. Although, it does feel a little thematically dissonant to give these cards to the classes that are sided with Deathwing (although the Death Knight can't be played in the same deck as Onyxia, so good flavour win there at least).

  • What Are You Playing? - Fluffy February 2026

In my never-ending catalogue of racing games (and really, games of all genres if I'm being real) to play on Steam, New Star GP is a fun one that I've come across.

It's a polygonal-graphic style Formula 1 game with arcade-y physics, but tracks that are designed to look like real F1 tracks. One moment, you're racing on "Totally Not Monaco", then "Totally Not Suzuka", then "Totally Not Spa-Francorchamps", then "Totally Not COTA" and the list goes on.

Actually a really fun little arcade racer with a lot of personality.

Archmage Kalec - Its enough of a gamechanger for mage, to perhaps encourage something that isnt combo. At current moment theres not enough revealed to show what this can do but you can rarely go wrong with a card like this. Only problem is obviously building around a card that cant be tutored, so the later you draw this card the more likely you'll be losing the game.

Spellweaver's Brilliance - I think this card is OP but theres still a chance it sees zero play because mage is shit, or the meta turns into control. Basically this card is a follow up to just about every AoE in mage's arsenal, and cards like sleet storm will ensure this card comes down as early as possible for tempo. Only mage deck that wont play this is combo, it even has a decent chance of appearing in aggro decks.

Ebonscale Scout & Stonetalon Striker - There's definitely an effort to create a sort of dragon hunter that rapidly scales out of control if they ever find the cheap dragons from their deck, and that pretty much sums up this, and indeed all cards that are like this. You pretty much need alot of draw options, and a good deal of cheap dragons. Does hunter have any of these cards? Draw alone is moot, so just pray hard theres loads of cheap dragons revealed later otherwise all these great cards turns to shit.

Confront the Tol'vir - Theres just no chance this doesnt see any play. Its effect is just too good, and at a price of 3 mana, it seems a bit far too good. Not sure what the interactions would look like after you get tolvir carver to reduce the 1st copy to 1 mana, play it, and will the 2nd copy result in a forever loop?

  • Pokémon Fire Red and Leaf Green Are Coming to the Nintendo eShop on the 27th of February

I will personally buy both! I normally do not do this but for 20 euros and being able to play alongside my wife makes it worth it :)

I played the original release on other means as I did not have my own GBA or NDs or 3Ds so I feel it is worth it (and I am also kinda giving back?)

  • Cataclysm Card Reveals - Day 8 [Finished]

To Faceless Replicator: To every one person who plays competitive decks, there are thirty that play the cards they think are cool. Go watch a Mark McKZ video, it's an endless, never-repeating torrent of the most wack crap. You'd be dumb not to cater to those people, too.

Also, it's more applicable than Infectious Sporeling. That card had to deal damage. Faceless Replicator turns The Ceaseless Expanse into a 3/3. It won't ever do that, but it can, and that's fun.

  • Cataclysm Card Reveals - Day 8 [Finished]

Ruby Sanctum - Theres defnitely a chance that team5 does a worldie and print absolutely no support for this until the third expansion of the year, we've been here before. As it stands, its a card that will only see play if theres a way to do face damage with it, and not much else.

Faceless Replicator - Its infectious sporeling except a little shittier. You spend 3 mana playing a less than vanilla minion that will absolutely do nothing because its gonna get destroyed by a spell or a weapon. And even if it actually transforms a minion, what does it even accomplish doing it?

War'loc - If this was printed two years ago, it wouldve had vanilla stats but in this reduced power level meta we get a 1/1 instead. Perfect for murloc pally, which more or less ceased to exist prior to this expansion. Will this bring it back? Probably not, since it doesnt solve the biggest problem with that deck, and crusader aura have rotated

Frostbitten Imp - Its just so weird that team5 gave this only 3 health, ensuring that it wouldnt live past the turn its played even if it wasnt frozen. And being frozen means this card is absolutely useless.

Survivalist - Dont bother, you'll only ever see this in arena, and even then its not good. Too weak for what it is to even bother building around this, which is a shame. Had this card have 9 attack, there might just be a card here, but instead we just get a meh card that'll be swiftly forgotten

Sheltered Survivor - Its not strictly shit, since recruiting minions from deck is a thing, but for the time being its probably just waiting to be relevant.

  • Cataclysm Card Reveals - Day 7 [Finished]

Web of Deception is still in Standard for Iso'rath.

  • Cataclysm Card Reveals - Day 7 [Finished]

So far with reveals it looks like they are getting away from 8000 discover cards which is amazing. Now if they can just stop making mana cheat cards we'd be back on track for some prime hearthstone.

  • Cataclysm Card Reveals - Day 4 [Finished]

After a year long break finally getting back into this with hope of some revamping for the upcoming year. I think this one will be underrated going in. With handbuffs etc and if you can drop this on the board when your hero is lower on hp you'll potentially get a full heal / board clear. If they have no minions it'll just potentially smack em in the face 3 times yea?

  • Cataclysm Card Reveals - Day 7 [Finished]

Sinestra - A really good colossal at a really good mana cost and pace. Basically what you want, but we all know this is basically a finisher and the play pattern is not a little toxic. Discover/generate a few damage spells from random sources and suddenly play this around turn 8-9 and spam your opponent to death while they watch. And if somehow this doesnt finish the job, you still have deathwing around the corner to end it.

Basically combining three things rogue players tend to like, play multiple stuff in one turn and piss everyone else off, thief-based random generation gameplay, and if situations permit, actually winning games.

Stolen Power - If this dont end up pissing all the alliance players, I dont know what will. Im already pegging shatter to basically be worthless because the conditions to shatter the two cards is practically impossible, and heres one card for a deathwing class that immediately grants a fully combined shatter card with no pre-conditions except the card's mana cost.

Will this be good though, fuck no. Unless theres a high chance of getting a face damaging card from this theres no earthly reason why rogue would want to play a three mana do nothing and get a card they probably cant use effectively.

Merithra of the Dream - Kinda funny that her human forms in shaman but whatevs. The card definitely has an insane effect, bordering on the levels of deciding games depending on how early you draw this to hand, but that's basically the problem with this card, you kinda need to draw this really early or the entire deck falls apart.

Id wager that the only deck playing this would likely be in the same realms of the current avianna druid, except a fuck ton more toxic but also perhaps much less successful.

Broodwatcher - All the problems as with merithra, except even after you triggered it, you dont win the game. And dont bother thinking you can play this on curve because the conditions to do it is so tight, you might as well forget about it.

Iso'rath - Shadowstep died for this. If that card was still valid in core, this card would be one of the most requested to be nerf cards ever made. But as it stands, its just decent. Just disrupt your opponent for two turns, and if ever theres a way to make more copies of this card it might actually fulfill its destiny of being the next most hated card in reddit alongside blackhorn.

  • Cataclysm Card Reveals - Day 5 [Finished]

Yeah, I had a relook at the card since its actual official release and youre right, its cumulative over multiple turns.

I personally think this spend mana while holding thing is still gimmicky at best though, but we'll see what happens after release.

  • Cataclysm Card Reveals - Day 5 [Finished]

I also think you're misreading Felwood Treant slightly. You don't have to spend all the mana on the same turn, just while you're holding it. If you curve a two into a three, it'll be available to ramp you on turn 4. That's not that far off of what New Heights is currently doing. Given that Druid no longer has any other ramp options in Standard AFIAK, that might be worth.

  • Cataclysm Card Reveals - Day 6 [Finished]

Stickybomb Saboteur - Seriously, this card is unplayable garbage. Fact that its effect will almost certainly waste 2 mana from your opponent is countered by the fact that youve just played a 4 mana card that only have a chance of an inconvenience, not even a guaranteed disruptive effect. Its nowhere near the level of established cards like cult neophyte or even speakerstomper by comparison.

The only conceivable way for this card to see play is that its 2 mana, with brann or shadowstep available, and even then youd question what the fuck youre doing.

Gronn Giant - I kinda like it because one way or another its an easy way to get a zero mana 8/8, though probably never in an aggro deck. The potentials there, but we'll have to wait and see if it actually sees play. Fact that stitched giant did, probably bodes well for this card.

Darkscale Broodmother - Its an okay card that might see play in a lower powerlevel enviroment. Its not really that great considering that its only playable on turn 2 at the earliest, and requires dragon synergy to even remotely be playable.

Shadowed Informant - Arena tyrant, competitive midget.

Twilight Egg - Its kinda funny this card. An egg that cant be ignored, with a fairly subpar payoff. In a way, its kinda not doing what youd want an egg to do, and thats to stay on the field for as long as possible, and be a disincentive for board clears or early cracking. But hey, at least you can play this card against a control deck and watch as they waste resources to crack it.

  • Cataclysm Card Reveals - Day 5 [Finished]

For felwood treant, the point I was making is that the card is clearly printed with refresh in mind because quite clearly the permanent ramp wouldnt be relevant otherwise. Giving yourself 1 mana crystal - in effect paying 1 mana for a 2/2 - is hardly worth talking about in todays hearthstone.

I wouldnt hold my breath over the treant synergies. Team5 have proven in recent history that planning is just something other people do.

  • Sony State of Play February 13th Recap - Every Game Announced

Sweet! I've loved the first Kena game, this one looks super cool as well :-))

  • Cataclysm Card Reveals - Day 5 [Finished]

It won't let me edit my comment for some reason, but to Felwood Treant - it's a FULL mana crystal. That means it's a 1-mana 2/2 with Treant synergies if you can play a 2-drop with it. That has some applications with Splintered Reality given how strong that card is.

  • Cataclysm Card Reveals - Day 5 [Finished]

    Quote From dapperdog

Im not exactly sure why Oxynia is so robotic given that resurrecting dragons isnt even new in the lore, but here we are.

That's straight out of World of Warcraft. Onyxia was brought back to life by Nefarian with a combination of necromancy and mad science. It's not as pronounced, but she has mechanical parts in Blackwing Descent. Nefarian has always been doing genetic experiments, but Cataclysm dialed up the Frankenstein reference way harder.

  • Cataclysm Card Reveals - Day 5 [Finished]

Arisen Onyxia - Im not exactly sure why Oxynia is so robotic given that resurrecting dragons isnt even new in the lore, but here we are. As for the card itself, it is incredibly powerful, but at such a high cost you can only imagine that it'll see play assuming the meta extends to turn 15 or something like that.

The fact that you can realistically play deathwing before this card probably mean it'll only be in the deck solely because of the herald synergies, and not much else. You'll never build around this with cards that are only good when this card is played.

Chromatic Broodmother - A card that shouldve been printed in the last miniset because its clearly the payoff from DK imbue, which at present is quite shite. This card makes it slightly less shite, though honestly the rune requirements sticks its ugly head out yet again. Seriously the unholy-frost rune requirement probably does more to ensure this card would never see play.

Aszhara, Ocean Lord - I like it only because its a finisher, and is presently the only colossal revealed so far that makes deathwing less of a requirement because in essence its an aggro card. Dont expect this card to do more than basically 8 damage + to face.

Felwood Treant - Probably an indication that mana refresh is gonna be a thing for druid because this card is shit otherwise. Ramping by 1 on turn 6? Yea, youd probably better just dig your own grave then.

  • What Are You Playing? - Fluffy February 2026

Personally did not have much time to play this month so I parked AC Odyssey on Feb 1 and have been just playing some Typing of the dead overkill when I have enough time. Played just 5 levels and It is cringy and fun. Never tried It before and It is good. Better than expected.

On the other hand my phisical pc colection IS already on SD cards. Will keep working on It Next month with the boxes and art.

  • Cataclysm Card Reveals - Day 4 [Finished]

Fucking hell, priest mains must be quaking in their boots looking a this.

Well, what else can be said except that this card is shite. So the theory is that the tentacles will heal the main body after each attack so in effect its like a psuedo AoE that comes with a massive body, but the problem is the rng factor (you getting healed instead of this), and the fact that the healing itself is but a mere 3. And its not like black blood itself has a lot of health to begin with.

I can only assume the reasoning of why this card is as shit as it looks is because priest can generate cards via imbue, and the handbuff cards will actually turn this card into some monstrous being but thats no excuse for printing such an underwhelming colossal when the class is already as shite as it is, and priest would be the class that dont benefit from any deathwing-herald synergies.

So, will this see play? Has no taunt, stats unimpressive, doesnt guarantee to clear what you want it to clear, and can suicide itself on anything with 8 attack in an expansion where we'll be seeing plenty of big minions in the late game. Yeah, just keep walking priest.

  • Cataclysm Card Reveals - Day 3 [Finished]

Its certainly very powerful but its trapped in a class that dont need it, assuming mage is even viable at all.

Facts are that mage have largely been unviable for the longest time, and with blackhorn around the good chance is that mage will remain unviable, or otherwise play a midrange minion heavy deck that will also be unviable.

But if ever theres a mage deck that isnt a mess, that isnt a combo deck, that isnt gonna just die to aggro on turn 5, then yeah, this card will see play.
