  • Cataclysm Card Reveals - Day 3 [Finished]

Any time you'd like to reveal more than one card please? We do not need to be drip fed every card.

  • Cataclysm Card Reveals - Day 2 [Finished - Leaked Card Names]

Its basically a 4/9 with four 1/3 tokens that will grow if ignored.

Well, the main problem is it wont be ignored, and even if it was, its not like this card will threaten to do shit. Get rid of the tokens and this card turns into a joke, paying 6 mana for a 4/9 that dont even have taunt.

Its a bit baffling really. Druid usually receives really powerful vanilla minions that dont see play because druid is all about ramp and toxicity. Now that druid isnt gonna have any ramp options for the next cycle, we're not even printing powerful vanilla minions for them. Or at least this colossal remains distinctly dull even for a class that generally dont play these.

  • Hearthstone Gets Hit by the Cataclysm - Everything We Know About The New Expansion

I have returned.... for the expansion I've been waiting for

  • Rarran's Taunt Druid

Step into the world of Hearthstone and experience captivating magical battles alongside characters possessing unparalleled power. Your keen observation skills and ability to adapt to changing situations in the blink of an eye will help you prove yourself a true card master. Recharge your energy and hone your reflexes with the drift boss game, where dexterity and superb speed control will help you conquer every challenging path without a hitch.

  • Cataclysm Card Reveals - Day 1 [Finished]

Ultraxion - Gives deathwing decks the boost it needed because there is a point where if deathwing is just too good, all opposition would turn to faster decks as a counter. This card allows for deathwing to come sooner, which frankly is just insane. But that said, its a legendary so maybe its okay.

Magmaw - It wont save you from losing positions which is the main issue with this card. But if youre in a clinch then this card will probably win it for you. Because regardless of whether you'll manage to deal with the 12 health magmaw, the tokens will most likely deal the damage needed to give you the decisive advantage. That said, probably not as good as hydralodon, and probably not gonna be the card that makes hunter good.

  • Hearthstone Gets Hit by the Cataclysm - Everything We Know About The New Expansion

The Good: New expansion starts really well with cinematic, new boards, and the card reveals are not only hype but indicate that the power level of the next expansion will be anything but a wet noodle as we have experienced in the last three.

The Bad: It really does give the impression that this expansion will be so wildly overpowered compared to the previous three that you'll likely be seeing nothing but heralds, colossals, and games ending with whoever plays deathwing first.

The Ugly: The much peddled idea of having weak expansions to 'normalize' the powerlevel, all that pain and tears, is now potentially for nothing.

    So new cards:

Deathwing, Worldbreaker - Not gonna lie, this card will almost certainly be a feature in all the 6 deathwing-aligned decks, and unless the power levels continue to scale, or aggro becomes so wildly popular, this card will likely be relevant all the way until rotation. Because just fucking look at it; swing board immediately, gives insane value, and if that doesnt end the game, the 5 attack hp will. Basically in certain matchups whoever plays this first will most likely win the game.

Ragnaros, the Great Fire - It definitely looks good but it'll most likely just be a playable card rather than a deck defining one. In a class like warrior its just not that impactful, with an unhealthy dose of rng that decides whether you win or die just playing it.

Ebyssian - Giving permanent rush is good...like 6 years ago. Too slow, too expensive, and trapped in a class that doesnt tend to play the long game. Unless hunter gets some value cards that adds dragons to hand, and theres a glut of lifesteal dragons around, this card will probably do nothing.

Chromatus - Only good thing about this card is you can play it on 8 and not expect to die immediately. Bad thing is every and any AoE effect will turn this into a vanilla 8/8. I mean, it probably would see play, but Im not optimistic. Why even bother with this card over gelbin?

The Shatter Cards - We only seen two so far but to imagine being able to shatter the two cards together is perhaps way too optimistic. Think about how difficult it is to clear your hand in a normal game of hearthstone and you'll most likely see the problem here, never mind ever playing it on curve.

Warmaster Blackhorn - The greatest fuck you to rogue mains. Its probably gonna be nerfed to 8 or 9 at some point not because the card is good but because it just invalidates entire decks. Worse still, team5 would be forced to build around this card's existence for the next two years.

  • Hearthstone Gets Hit by the Cataclysm - Everything We Know About The New Expansion

    Hmm...

A previous year with a lower power level, including a hero power-themed set about a corrupted forest and a nostalgic callback set that was very underwhelming on launch.

A new set with story ties that were set up in the previous year.

A good/evil divide between classes represented mechanically, with Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, and Warrior on the side of evil.

The set has a mechanic with a Hero Card and other related minions that can be empowered throughout the game with a dedicated keyword.

This is just the Year of the Dragon again.

  • Year of the Scarab is Hearthstone's Zodiac for 2026 - Core Set Changes, New Cards, Shadowstep Removed

Halazzi makes the new Quest really easy for Hunter now. Although, losing the Deathrattle trigger hurts that.

  • Year of the Scarab is Hearthstone's Zodiac for 2026 - Core Set Changes, New Cards, Shadowstep Removed

Core set always set some expectations but thats a mountain to climb in my opinion. The immediate noticeable thing is that nearly all the AoEs have been removed from core, save by twisting nether which nowadays wouldnt get a look in even in a low power level format.

So either team5 commits itself to printing more AoEs in standard and thereby allowing them to essentially pick who gets to be a control deck this expansion, or more likely warrior remains the only viable control deck for the next two years.

Just a short commentary on shadowstep being dropped - honestly, its nothing really. Most rogue cards tend to be designed around shadowstep, creating this weird loop of what ifs that have bogged the class design for a while. So its lack of inclusion may create some design space, but with what team5 have done in recent times its hard to be optimistic.

  • Year of the Scarab is Hearthstone's Zodiac for 2026 - Core Set Changes, New Cards, Shadowstep Removed

I really didn't think we'd ever see a Standard rotation without Shadowstep, but here we are. Some may think this will lead to a less "bouncy" gameplan for Rogue. I think what's more likely to happen is that they want to clear some space to print more bounce cards so they have a chance to see play instead of Shadowstep.

I somehow very much doubt that Death's Advance needed to be Double-Frost. Surely it could've been Single-Frost or 1 mana. Demon Hunter has its own version of Mal'Ganis now, and surely it's going to be just as useful as that card was.

This core set is really fucking weird. Halazzi? Mayor freaking Noggenfogger?! Really absurd.

  • The Burning Crusade Anniversary Edition's Final Phase Releases in 2026

I'm not at all surprised to see that WoW's Anniversary Edition servers are continuing the trend of faster content releases. The biggest thing that sucks in WoW is when you and your guild are fully geared or 90% fully gear, have cleared all the content (especially older content which is much easier than modern), and you know there are still months until the next release. This was a large pain point when Blizzard brought Classic WoW back and only obvious that they'd make this change.

It's crazy though, we could see Wrath of the Lich King's pre-patch in less than a year, possibly even during 2026. It's a long time but damn does time go by so fast sometimes. You blink and another phase has dropped and you missed out.

I didn't get a chance to do a lot of raiding in TBC Classic, so I'm hoping I can get a chance to sneak in every week to play this time around. The mage is ready to go and I am so happy I won't have to worry about tanking, healing, or raid leading.

  • Single Boss Raids to Return to World of Warcraft in Midnight

Huge props to Blizzard for finally bringing back single-boss raids. I've been telling people forever that it would be the easiest way for them to solve the content drought between raid tiers, not that I'm doing anything other than stating the obvious, so it's great to see Blizzard finally agrees.

Honestly, with how fast WoW moves these days on the most recent expansion, I find it so difficult to keep up with unless you are playing it as your main game. Not really a big problem, it just slightly discourages me from playing when I can't keep up with everything because I want to but there just ain't enough time for all that.

  • Mists of Pandaria Classic's Siege of Orgrimmar Arriving in Summer

I must say, I hope that they don't announce Warlords of Draenor. I know that it's still likely to happen, and if they do it, they better make it very accelerated because it is a bore of an expansion. I don't even know if I'd want to see them move into Legion to be honest. We just had Legion remix which was a couple of weeks of fun, but how "Classic" is Legion truly? Legion is the basis for a lot of the modern systems we have in World of Warcraft today, and because of that doesn't feel quite Classic. Warlords feels like such a great cutoff point because Mists of Pandaria is definitely Classic if Cataclysm is considered Classic.

Realistically though, I suspect we will see all of World of Warcraft end up in the Classic timeline and that eventually the two games will converge and there will be an opportunity for Blizzard to merge everyone into mainline WoW which will be amazing for people who missed out on certain mounts "back in the day" that were able to obtain them during the classic timeline. They can keep doing things like the anniversary edition servers to give people a fresh, more classic experience since it's clear people crave that still.

It just makes sense that Blizzard makes sure each of their expansions are available to be played on the most recent, modern WoW platform, and they are getting damn close to having all the truly old stuff up there. I wouldn't be surprised if Warlords and even Legion's games are already playable on the new engine considering those games are where we see a lot of today's WoW tech still.

  • What Are You Playing? - Jaunty January 2026

    Congrats!!!

As for myself. This month I have not played a lot but I continued AC Odyssey (just missing South Continental Greece) and Finished the Pokemon ZA Megadimension Pokedex. I cant say I enjoyed the postgame a lot, but grinded It little by little when I felt like It or While watching something (It is indeed that braindead of an activity)

Right now I am planning on continue DK Bananza and the Fire Emblem games for switch as I was able to finally get my hands on them.

Also I was inspired by a Video and started a Physical PC collection using GoG installers and some SD cards. (Definitelly not doing my Whole library)

It is a proyect that I can do little by little at work when the workload drops to 0 as I can take my time to design each case.

Still have to get some cheap but not useless SD cards but Will get to that eventually.

  • Blizzard 35 Showcase Announced - New Content Reveals for WoW, Hearthstone, Diablo, and Overwatch from January 29 to February 11

Pretty ironic Starcraft/2 has so much space in the trailer. Yes, it was one of their cornerstone games. But they have abandoned it completely few years back and its now only surviving off community events and engagement. Would be cool if they stepped back in to help breathe new life into the game.

  • What Are You Playing? - Jaunty January 2026

Congrats on the completion, Demon! It is a shame the game has some rough edges, I hope the developers can appreciate some constructive criticism and we'll see updates.

    Test!!!

  • What Are You Playing? - Jaunty January 2026

Well, I continued to play the game even though I gave it a negative review. I will admit that the game did become a bit more fun when I unlocked the Escudo (or rather, the "Adares Titan CXR"), but the game is just barren and empty both in regards to the tracks and the lack of any competition. The pacenotes given by the co-driver are also painfully bad because they're either blatantly wrong, called out way too late, or not called out at all.

The game's default physics are really bizarre, so if you do wish to play the game, experiment with physics options that are not the default and save yourself a lot of headaches.

The things that we do for achievements, I'll tell you what.

  • Custom Class - the Nomad + Year of the Beetle

2nd Expansion: Rise of the Shas

After the defeat of G'Huun, Iridikron managed to escape to Pandaria in order to ally himself with the Pandaren mortal enemy the Mantids and the remaining Shas scattered across the land to absorb enough Void energy in order to recover his power, causing a massive outbreak of Shas across Pandaria

    Pre Release Legendary:

    New Keyword: Chi

The iconic Monk mechanic is now coming to Hearthstone and can be utilized by all classes during their time in Pandaria. This is a special resource that can be gained by playing certain special cards. Cards with the sitting emblem in the left of their mana cost will give you 1 Chi. If a minion or weapon has Meditate effect, they can use that effect instead of attacking. If click on them, you will get the choice to either follow the more aggressive Horde Huojin to attack like normal or live a more meditative lifestyle of the Alliance Tushui to activate your Meditate effect. Meditate effect follow the rule of attack, which mean weapon with Meditate effect can activate their effect immediately, Minions effect by Freeze or summoning sickness cannot trigger their Meditate effect. Of course, if you are clever in deck building you might be able to ignore those disadvantages or even turn that into an upside for you

    Card Cycle: Legendary Sidequest

The classes that don't receive a Burden will have a Legendary Sidequest that allow them to have a huge tempo swing or resource generation in exchange for not starting in your hand
