The big reveal today has to be the Manifest keyword. It's a direct copy of the Discover keyword from Hearthstone, which was a big change for the better in that game. One of the bigger dangers in card games, is having very stale metagames: As the meta gets figured out and decks get refined into more consolidated lists, matchups become increasingly stale- you know your opponent's decklist, he knows yours, you both know what each other's key cards are in the matchup, and you just go through the motions, playing out a well-known matchup where the luck of the draw determines the winner.
Enter discover- or Manifest here in LoR. You'll often be offered bad cards, that are exactly what you need in a specific situation. Maybe you get offered an Avarosan Marksman when you need to pop a Spellshield, or a Soulgorger when playing vs. Azirelia. Other times, you will have plenty of mana crystals but be out of steam, you try to manifest a big threat- and the only big creature you're offered is something like Horns of the Dragon, so you try to win with that.
Manifest is a powerful tool in that you can find answers that your main deck doesn't even contain. It brings much greater variety, because the metagame stops just being about the top 20% of cards showing up over and over, and you can potentially have any card in the game show up in your matches. And it rewards skill, because knowing the value and utility of obscure cards becomes a new form of skill expression. This should be good for LoR.
2/5. The spell gives good stats for its mana cost, but as far as competitive decks go, permanent stat buff spells only see play in cheesy decks that aim to win the game off of the back of a unit that gets really unfair with stat buffs, like Fiora, Braum or Sparklefly. It sounds like a good complement to Taric, except Taric can't replicate it. The fact that it allows for counterplay, whereas most buff spells do not, also makes it harder to make this work.
1/5. At that mana cost, you expect units to be major threats or value generators, like Rekindler or Invasive Hydravine. The Leviathan only costs 1 more. This card does represent a legitimate threat, just not enough to justify its large mana cost. The fact that it asks you nearly as much as Gangplank and Sejuani ask you for their level-ups just to get to that underwhelming place, and you need to fulfill that condition before you summon it, makes this unit completely unsuited for competitive play
3/5. Reminds me of Island Navigator, with more flexibility in mana cost but without the Scout keywords. The mana flexibility is a big deal, especially in slower decks that don't want a lot of cheap, low-value followers; it could be the difference between having something to play on turn 3, vs. having nothing. This could see play in a role similar to House Spider.
4/5. Very solid early game follower for slow decks, that don't want to put a lot of cheap, low-value units in their decks: this is an early game unit that gives you more early game units to beef up your board, it doesn't require any support, and it doubles as an Elusive blocker.
Voidtouched Attendant is also weapon damage aswell, cause you know, priest has weapons in this deck too
1 mana 1/3 : raid leader + spell damage + hero power damage + weapon damage + warlocks hits their own face for +1 every time
Twilight Deceptor is also what makes the deck so strong, because you can guarantee either more Voidtouched Attendant and more aggro cards with raise dead or guarantee mind blast directly or through shadow visions
did you have all the cards to make my list ? I had the luck of getting both Voidtouched Attendant this expantion and both Shadowbomber back in GvG, but I would have never guessed that aggro priest would be a real thing back in GvG. I did craft Darkbishop Benedictus before knowing if the deck was strong or not.
how strong is the deck for you guys ? it turns out it's reaaaaly insane against all the quest warlocks out there
As an elegant and tbh more 'typical' change, the battlecry change is pretty good. However, the once per turn mechanic still allows this to activate across multiple turns if it survives, just with a much lower scope than it currently has. I'd also like to see if 'Once per Turn' could work as an adjustment to other pop-off cards like this one. I'm unsure which ones I'd target, but I'm sure it's a mechanic that could be used, even for new cards to replace old ones.
For instance, this could be a replacement for Gadgetzan Auctioneer whilst that rotates to wild format, if the auctioneer is ever deemed too powerful. Probably won't be any time soon but this is just a further adaptation of the idea. It may be too weak, but again this is just a very basic and easy example of something that could happen.
I think the stats are not good enough for the cost of this unit, but I love the flavor of a giant eggplant leaping off a cliff and directly onto your nexus, for an "impact" of 4 damage.
This is a slow spell, so it's vulnerable to disruption and is not a battle trick.
However, those are premium stats for only 4-cost. Nothing else in the game lets you add that many stats permanently for that cost. This card is low-key VERY good ... and it specifically works extremely well with Taric's level-up condition.
Just as comparisons - Taric's champion burst spell grants 3/3 for one more cost than this spell; Back to Back in Demacia gives 3/3 to two different units for the turn only, at 2 more cost than this spell.
Permanent stats, in a region that has spellshield and healing, are not trivial. I think this spell is low-key very good.
Yeah, basically every digital card game has the discover mechanic at this point.
However, as long as we are talking about copying ideas from other card games, that's an interesting Beach Party set of skins that Hearthstone has up for sale right now. Can't imagine where they got the idea and motivation to add so many more skins to their game in the past year - and the most recent set is specifically a water-party theme to boot!
Same. There are many ways to stay "connected" such as discord, reddit, and out of cards. There is no need for an in-game guild system. I have always admired hearthstone for not having guilds or gems or pets whatever other crap you might find in other big online games.
I would drop Bloodlust (Jades are big enough), Bog Slosher (slow), Stonehill Defender (slow), Lifedrinker (you are not going infinite with Shudderwock)

If you can avoid Questline Warlocks, this Reno Evenlock deck is great fun! The meta at my low legend rank has focused on Warriors and Druids! I am grateful for that.
Hi I have a homebrew Jade Quest Shaman which I want to refine with Bolner.First of all 2 cards I know which are helpfull but I don't own and don't want to craft are Loatheb and the Jade Battlecry+DR Pandaren girl.
So the core is: Corrupt the Waters, every Shaman + Neutral Jade card, Bolner, Shudderwock (most likely + 2 Lighning Bloom)
So now is missing: cards to support the quest plus carcs to stay allive. Can anyone help me?
I wonder what would happen when there is an overpowered deck and everyone bans the same class. Would people playing that class be stuck in the queue for minutes? I guess that would encourage them to play something else though, so maybe it's not so bad.
I'd rather ban a card than a class though. For example, in Wild I'd gladly ban Secret Mage or Big Priest, but I have no issue playing against other Mage or Priest decks.
What happens if you copy The Rat King's deathrattle with Mok'Nathal Lion? Does it come back as a lion or as a rat king?
In a recent Tavern Brawl I saw a minion randomly get assigned the deathrattle of Sherazin, Corpse Flower and that minion turned into Sherazin while dormant. But Hearthstone isn't always consistent, so I'm not sure it's safe to extrapolate from that.

Achievement Hunting: United in Stormwind edition
I did the Not the Face! achievement. I found it impossible to do in wild after many many games. I did it in standard since it was a slower meta.

once per turn is used a lot in yugioh, the game is too fast for me now but i always loved this kind of design, i would like this change.
Wild: Jade Quest Shaman feat. Bolner
I would drop Bloodlust (Jades are big enough), Bog Slosher (slow), Stonehill Defender (slow), Lifedrinker (you are not going infinite with Shudderwock)
I would add Aya Blackpaw (if crafted), Armor Vendor,Tour Guide,The Lurker Below,Jinyu Waterspeaker (for heal)
This deck do not have infinite Shudderwock but you will win due Jades so Loatheb is not needed as much

Could Hearthstone See Class Bans on the Ladder? Hearthstone Developer, Dean Ayala, Says Its Possible
