No one wants tradeable cards. I'm so tired of these games replicating IRL CCG scarcity into the gameplay experience. I don't care if I ever open a pack again. The game is most fun when you have the most cards to play with, and the most contexts/modes to play them in. There are so many ways to get the gameplay to drive daily participation without making people chase packs. I know this was under the "Dreamland" section and will never happen, but uh, dream better man.
Directly messing with Standard ladder, even for a limited time, is a terrible idea. People have been asking for a tournament mode forever, and then I finally started playing Runeterra a couple weeks ago, and Gauntlets are exactly what Hearthstone needs. You could argue that it's similar to ranked, but it's a very different experience. Basically pick three decks, you and your opponent ban one, and then first to win with their remaining two decks advances to another match sort of like Arena. The more you win, the more XP you get, and some of them can even qualify you for official tournaments. Hearthstone is such an amazing game engine, but I feel like they're really behind the curve on what they could be doing with it. I know LoR gameplay isn't for everyone (I usually prefer Hearthstone), but their game client, game modes, rewards, and cosmetics are superior. What Team 5 should do is mess with Wild ladder. Rotate the legal Wild card pool every two months. It doesn't need to be every card every printed all at the same time. They could balance the mode without changing individual cards. Simply don't allow certain combos depending on the rotation.
Text is not super clear. Not sure if it can give you a Celestial or Epic spell, or if this can only give you a follower card.
3/5. Reminds me of Avarosan Sentry, except you get to invok- I mean, manifest a card out of 3 possible choices. If the meta wasn't quite so fast, I'd give this 4 stars, because this can find you clutch cards for specific matchups.
Arena changed alot with new rotation... the card value has gone down significantly. You can get alot of trash card and then maybe 7-8 good card that will carry you. so all about drawing those. Many situational card which can be dead in hand, so better to play a card on curve to win the board control, which is very importent.
I've been playing a mix of Battlegrounds and Ladder recently, and whilst playing Battlegrounds, I came across the Prophet of the Boar. Now the interesting thing about this card is the Once per Turn being keyworded on the card, despite it being only used on this particular card.
With Stealer of Souls being as troublesome as it has been, could it be changed to the following instead?
This would allow the effect to still go off this turn, either via tap or the first card drawn off of Backfire for instance and if it lives until future turns, the effect can be done again. However, these massively reduces the "pop-off" potential for the card. I don't know if this is the correct change for the card, but seeing as it utilises something that is already found within the game, I thought this would make for a good discussion.
I am also an arena player, and I remember reading way back about arena impacts for expansions, starting with Un' Goro. I'd love to see the reviews come back again. I would like to participate, but an entire expansion seems a bit much, though I might actually do one for the next mini-set.
Thanks FrostyFeet, for once again showcasing one of my legend decks!
Much appreciated! 👍🏻
It was really a straightforward (just go face) climb to legend this season because over 50% of the Wild ladder is currently playing Questline Warlock. Questline Druid is really its kryptonite (67% winrate) and also strong against all the other Questline decks. It only does not perform well against Taunt heavy decks.
If its any consolation, I think this is perhaps one of the better GM weeks Ive had the pleasure of watching (and listening because its hearthstone) in quite a long time. I think its because the meta is so filled with combo decks that no one knows what to ban, and unlike other metas we're seeing only warlock being the class everyone is bringing.
Mage is busted like hell, as expected. But not many GM are bringing it, perhaps because nearly everyone is teching against mage. Cult neophyte being pasted everywhere.
Will certainly be watching until the end. TJ and Lorinda actually being good for a change, though it did took about an hour for them to start going.
It's very much confirmed, and you only need to pay attention to two things: make sure the "Live" button next to the sound icon is active (that is showing as a red dot; if it's turned grey, you are out of sync with the stream and it's not counting) - you are right in that muting YouTube seems to also eventually turn off the "live" part in your tab. I tend to switch and minimize tabs a lot otherwise and that on its own doesn't seem to immediately desync and turn me off the "live" mode, but I like to check every once in a while it's active when hunting packs.
The other thing is just to check one is watching on the correct YouTube account (classified as personal and not brand, for some reason) and that the "connected" text shows right next to the upvove/downvote buttons.

Hearthstone Grandmasters 2021 Season 2 Begins! Earn a Total of Six Packs by Watching
Well, I normally would watch some matches in the weekend. Especially if one of my favorite GM's is playing.
However, the current early meta is like playing solitaire which is not really enjoyable IMO.
Weekend of Wild Decks - Astral Druid, Beast Hunter, Galakrond Warlock, & More!

Could Hearthstone See Class Bans on the Ladder? Hearthstone Developer, Dean Ayala, Says Its Possible
Honestly that would be the laziest solution ever.
Team 5 needs to own up to the fact the Hearthstone is a PVP game, not PVE and balance the game accordingly.

Dude, just stop... It's cute that you think they play the games or even have some kind of "faction pride". Good dealers don't use their own drugs.
