  • Rewards Track: Current progress 2.0

So after another week, I´m lvl 80 with no quests left and 80% of XP achievements done.

    On NebuchadnezzarHS´s question:

"Which hero portrait will you be picking up this time around?"

I´ve picked Hunter the first time, the next hero I like the most is Gul´dan, so I´ll probably go with him, but it´s still a looong road to go.

  • The Lore of Runeterra's Ionia and its Champions

It's funny that Ionia the region who is all about maintaining balance lore wise, has been either overpowered or weak in the game.

  • Looking for a good post-nerf deck that isn't Hunter or Paladin

I decided to go ahead and play a couple of matches with this priest version found on Vicious Syndicate. i believe its the same one that YourPrivateNightmare was talking about:

    AAECAa0GBMi+A/zoA+fwA62KBA2TugOvugPezAPXzgP+0QPi3gP73wP44wOW6AOa6wOe6wOFnwTBnwQA

It really has that control feel, tho you do get some major spells from discovery interactions. what ive found by playing it was already the obvious one: its main value is Kazakus, incredible to card in the deck cause in conjuction with the other spells u try to keep the board in check while making your own stand on it with the golems. the deck snowballs if u can get an early kazakus into raise dead. getting mankrik early too is good cause apotheosis on the 3/10 is game winning vs aggro decks.

skip the warlock matches altho they might have some trouble at first dealing with an early kazakus but i havent played that matchup so im assuming in general its still horrible match for the priest.

Kaladin, soul mirror is not required at all, specially cause u can discover it, but u might lose some matches where otherwise you wouldnt. give it a spin.

Btw whats your server? NA or EU?

  • Group Therapy! Need to blow off some steam? Mega salty? Here's the place!

It's no wonder this game isn't allowed to have teeth anymore. A bad, easy to control card like Tickatus gets constant complaints despite being a bad card in a tier 4 deck. Is it any wonder that they are afraid of fun stuff like coldlight oracle or other unique win conditions?

People complain about everything, I swear you want a meta of vanilla stats minions with no text where both players get to play at the same time, everything is a constant mirror and if you look like you might lose,  Blizzard just preemptively ends the game and tells you you both win.

That is the boring mess every constant complainer is advocating for. Prove me wrong. What are you okay losing to? Can't have burst,  can't have combo,  can't have good value or fatigue win cons. What are you okay losing to?

  • Comparing APM Mage to Tiller Decks

I am trying to figure out why APM Mage is not getting nerfed but the Tiller otk decks got nerfed in only a week. Can anyone share their thoughts on what key differences make APM Mage fine for the meta as opposed to Tiller decks, or of any other similarities?

Here are the similarities I see so far:

Both can combo as early as turn 4 but go off consistently by about turn 7

Both are countered by certain hunter secrets

Both are countered by certain mage secrets

Both are countered by hyper aggro decks

Both deal about 60 damage maximum

Dirty rat effect needs to be duplicated or the deck can still combo due to redundancy in combo pieces

    Both are delayed by Loatheb

  • Aegwynn + Vectus interaction?

I think I remember Firebat experimenting with that.

Yes, one of the whelps will inherit her effect and keep passing it on, HOWEVER, if another minion that has inherited the effect dies, it will not apply to the second whelp, because the effect is considered one singular instance that keeps going on instead of seperate deathrattles.

Basically, the only way to get two Aegwynn deathrattles on both Whelps is to play another seperate Aegwynn that produces her own effect (or maybe that aalso doesn't work because spaghetti code)

  • Sethekk Veilweaver + Renew

You want to play Sethekk + Renew if you have enough mana to get a train going because it gives you a discover and a random spell which could chain.

You don't wanna Renew Sethekk if you actually need healing in the matchup.

Ultimately, it doesn't really matter anyways because you're playing Miracle Priest and you're relying on just out-randoming your opponent.

I know a friend who actually broke up over Mario Party. He wanted to break up anyways, and apparently Mario Party was the only medium through which he could truly express his emotions.

My journey to legend featuring this wonderful off-meta deck.

The deck has multiple ways to win:

    1) Waves of Murlocs thanks to Tip the Scales (cheated out early through Alura, Prismatic Lens or Nozdormu).

    2) Pressure from big minions like Scrapyard Colossus, Strongman or Nozdormu.

    3) Uther of the Ebon Blade summoning the 4 Horseman!

  • Sethekk Veilweaver + Renew

I'm not sure we'd be talking about the same type of situation.

I can play sethekk + renew early against more agressive opponent. My reasons usually are to establish some presence and slow down opponent, and to discover some board control options I already know I would need.

It would not be about gaining a random card. It would be about throwing away part of the combo early to gain more staying power. Against aggro it might not even get to my combo - I'll just exhaust their hand and they'll give up.

  • Hybrid Charge + E.T.C. Combo

Kmem, could you write a little guide on how this works?

  • Dean Ayala's Dream Land & Community Q&A #15 - Future Game Goals, Hero Cards, Blizzard Turnover, Progression

I love that Dean closed with “congrats on winning that Yugioh tournament.” I’m sure he did it because the other person actually won one, but it sounds so perfectly memey. I hope Hearthstone players start shutting down conversations by congratulating the other person on that Yu-Gi-Oh tournament.

  • Sethekk Veilweaver + Renew

So there is a lot of weaving going on in Priest lately with the Veilweaver-bloodweaver-Rally combo that generates tons of spells and discounts them.
It sure can be pretty fun to generate spells and sling those cards with multiple weavers on the board but I see the same "misplay" again and again.

Do you guys agree that playing a Renew with a single veilweaver only to generate a random card is a misplay? You essentially trade a card, you consciously put in your deck for a random one. Seems like a bad deal to me.

    There are obviously exceptions:

    - Multiple veilweavers
    - Desperation for a clear
    - Lots of spare mana with a light hand

But i've seen way to many priests throw away their renews for the sake of a random card.

  • The Watcher ( More powerful than the champion )

    That is true sadly.

  • Looking for a good post-nerf deck that isn't Hunter or Paladin

    Quote From kaladin

is it absolutely required that i have soul mirror

Not entirely sure about that. Usually Priest is good at generating spells via Scorpid, Renew and Palm Reading, but without Soul Mirror being in your deck there's a chance that some value decks can just push you off the board.

If you're running a Xyrella build you might be able to do without Mirror, but since kazakus is just much better I feel like Mirror might be necessary if you want to improve your matchup spread.

If you're just trying to dunk on aggro decks (that aren't Spell Mage) you probably don't need Mirror.

  • 7 Strongest Standard Decks for Your Late April Hearthstone Ladder Climb

It's actually much better at high ranks because it beats control decks, but if you're trying to make the jump to Legend it's too weak against all the aggro decks there.

  • 7 Strongest Standard Decks for Your Late April Hearthstone Ladder Climb

that's why I don't run Samuro or Xyrella because they're trap cards and Kazakus is much better in just about any situation.

Also, C'thun Warrior is even worse than Warlock, so I don't see why anyone would even bother.

My personal advice, grind to Legend, and try to get to somewhere around 6 or 4k and suddenly Warlock will show maybe every 10 games while you have a solid choice at beating anything else that isn't Spell MAge

Trust the Data Reaper Report and don't trust HsReplay because their stats are getting bogged down by people who have no clue how to play a Control deck that doesn't generate infinite value.

Why does she also give a AOE spell each turn for free?

Because thats what she does in the moba

Soraka has a silence ability in league should we give her the ability to generate a 0 mana hush or equinox every turn in runeterra?

    No
But funny enough, even with a strong effect like that, she still would not see competitive play by herself

  • The Watcher ( More powerful than the champion )

I don’t see Lee Sin / Nasus in gold 4 or 3 I’ll start checking gold 2 today. Maokai seems more difficult. I Seldom see Maokai go off and when he does manage to go off I finish that player like 50% of the time before it matters.

I did have a watcher player not manage to get their shit to go off today which is like the first time I’ve accomplished that. But I think they got extremely unlucky. In like the last 10 watcher games I’ve played every single one of them were able to summon the watcher and I silenced / obliterated, or stunned the damn thing only to have it copied or buying me simply one more turn. They can even be forced to block with it and with its insane hp just attack the turn after if they get hushe or permanently silenced.

  • 7 Strongest Standard Decks for Your Late April Hearthstone Ladder Climb

Lol, Ive been trying every priest deck my mind can conjure up, from Ysharaaj priest (a real underrated archetype in my opinion) to miracle, to nzoth, to control priest. Im around diamond 3-4, if this matters, and Ive been seeing lots of warlock, from tickatus to that now surprisingly popular neeru warlock (probably because the season is ending). Maybe your experience in legend ranks is comfortably free from warlocks, but that has not been my experience.

As for 'insistent', well. If you played priest you'll quickly find that even one minion can trouble priest fairly well, and quite honestly if you opponent continues to put minions on board (you know, like any proper midrange deck) you'll swiftly run out of options, stranded with that samuro in your hand. To say nothing of the matchup when your opponent actually has a cthun (been seeing lots of warriors running this now, maybe because of priest). There will be times you get what you need and your opponent hasn't a wink of a chance of beating you, but when you flop you flop big.

Maybe in my previous post Ive been too hard on the subject because Im saltier than a salt & vinegar flavored chip having tried and lost to warlock so many times no matter whatever tech card Im jamming. I do think that hsreplay's stats is not representing the true power of priest, but to think that its ever going to take to tier 1 would be a mistake.

  • Aegwynn + Vectus interaction?

Does anyone know how does Vectus' Whelps work with Aegwynn's Deathrattle effect? Do those Whelps then make other minions you draw inherit the Whelp's powers, like any enchantments it gets (ex. Lifesteal or Rush)?
