Blizzard can easily nerf Deck of Lunacy and the no minion mage archetype will still be strong, running C'thun instead of Lunacy is still a Tier one deck imo but fairer (Refreshing Spring Water makes the deck nuts). Paladin on the other hand needs a few nerfs imo, Pen Flinger is way too strong with zero mana Librams and the Secret Weapon is too strong for a 2 drop. If it just pulled a secret maybe but to equip a 1/3 Weapon, draw a card and play a 1 mana Secret for 2 mana is too much, its so good you don't really care which secret it is. Pen Flinger needs to be minions only.
I reached legend again before the upcoming 100% certain nerf to Deck of Lunacy. This deck is very easy to pilot, but not as overpowered as the community might want to convince you. Please do not believe the hype. It is losing to the potential high roll that warrants the nerf.
Control Warlock, Secret Paladin and Weapon Rogue will often beat this deck. As a matter of fact, I have not won a single game against Control Warlock this season. The 11-star bonus is what made it an easy climb to legend really.
Let us see what the meta will shape into after the first round of nerfs.
Quote From AngryShuckieI curious about how you did YoggChamp! now.

That was my list for yoggchamp!, basically have the only 1 drop in the deck be Oh My Yogg!, sort the deck with Polkelt, draw through it like crazy, use mischief maker to give the secret to the opponent and then play into it with anyfin can happen when a hero is under 5 health (clearing the board as much as possible) for a 2/9 chance at lethal. It took like 2 hours but I did it.
Initially I thought that maybe gutting Deck of Lunacy will be enough to just make it a playable deck with good and bad matchups, but now I'm not even sure that works. The amount of ressource generation and burn damage is just absurd. I feel like Apexis Blast and Font of Power need to be weakened in some form just because of how efficient they are (Spring Water seems a bit strong, but considering that the archetype was effectively worthless before it was released i'd rather they just curb the average power level instead of nerfing it back into obscurity by gutting the one card that gives them some amount of consistency)
The issue with these two generating spells is, that all bad minions were removed from standard, so there is basically no bad outcome for Apexis Blast or Font of Power
There is one bad outcome for Apexis Blast, which is Jandice Barov. Font of POwer though is ridiculous and can carry the game by itself.
I feel like increasing the mana cost for both could be a fix. Alternatively you could make Apexis Blast summon a 4-drop but I feel like that would make it basically worthless (or at least wouldn't justify building your entire deck around).
The thing is, on paper, I have no issue with the archetype by itself. I spent the last two months playing Spell damage Mage which is similarly a very draw-heavy burn deck that relies on setting up early and then yeeting your opponent before they can stabilize....but right now it just feels bizarre how much long-term value the deck can generate for absolutely no downside.
If we take out Lunacy completely you still have a deck that draws exceptionally well while containing a base amount of 26 direct burn damage (+ double Mask of C'thun) as well as a decent package of single target and AoE removal and, at this point, the best circumstances to run C'thun which represents yet another finisher, meaning outlasting the damage isn't an option....which then means the only real option is to aggro them down (which works quite well at the moment and will be even better once they can't randomly generate outs with Deck of Lunacy).
I'm pretty sure if we render Spring Water useless or make it "fair" alongside removing Deck of Lunacy the deck goes back to being a tier 3 meme deck that relies on highrolling their spell ramp spells in the early game or forever playing from behind. I really think the main problem is just how absurdly efficient Font and Blast (and by extension also Runed Orb) are now that the random pool has been cleaned up and since that is unlikely to change unless they aim to release a large number of garbage spells and minions in future sets the cost of these cards (and all future cards with similar design for any class) need to be reevaluated.
I mean for YoggChamp! I used Mischief Maker because sending Oh my Yogg! over with Lorewalker Cho would make the opponent trigger your oh my yogg with the one your trying to give them, but when you do these kinda decks you just have to build them assuming the opponent is dumb and doesnt know what your doing.
The overall concept is the same though in that you bait the opponent into setting up the stage for you to complete the achievement.
I curious about how you did YoggChamp! now. When I did it I had an elaborate scheme involving multiple Chos to multiply Oh My Yogg! and a lot of coins to hope to transform into Raise Dead, all enabled by intentionally encountering a friend in ranked.
So I didn't have the patience to bait the opponent into it and then hope RNG was kind, and just rigged the whole system instead. There was plenty of baiting involved when I did the achievement for Shadow Clone though. Hmm, the achievements associated with secrets tend to be a lot more work than the others, now that I look at it. I suppose that makes sense since they have to involve the opponent doing something.

Now like mentioned above there is small number of spells that means all 7 Mana spells (and Mage have couple of those) will turn into Nagrand Slam or Survival of the Fittest
Cheating high mana Mage and Druid spells is problem.
This card can turn to bad again (or at least worse) when we receive new spells.
Hey man, big fan of your deck building and videos! I played around 5 games with this deck and it feels like it's fighting itself with a lot of anti synergy. Specifically the soul fragments and c'thun cards in the deck made it to where the 10 or less in deck cards were never active when they mattered.
C'thun seems like a weird inclusion when it should already have super strong late game with the portal. I think a focus on more solid board clears/more draw and less on slight life gain with the fragments would make this way more consistent.

I used a similar strategy to YoggChamp from the Darkmoon Faire run and got the achievement pretty easily.
Mulligan Hard for Lorewalker Cho & potentially Cannonmaster Smythe.
When ready drop Cho and send secrets over to your opponent, desperate measures is best since its twinspell and effectively counts as 2 secrets (especially if opponents hand is close to full). Feel free to clog the opponents hand as it will only increase the incentive for them to play the secrets. then have your opponent plays them out the next turn.
Once the opponent played 5 secrets drop cannonmaster if there are any untriggered secrets followed by horde operative and profit.
In my case the cannonmaster was not needed because the opponent triggered all the secrets I sent over with cho but its in the deck for this purpose.
Also if you want to replace any secrets In this deck you might not have, the only thing I say to that is I specifically omitted secrets that trigger when a minion or spell is played (not to be put off by the opponent playing secrets, or by your own Smythe when you need to clear your own secrets), so no Oh my yogg/Repentence! but otherwise they are basically swappable to whatever you have in your collection.
Thank goodness (yet again) for Lorewalker Cho! My deck was different in that it ran a fairly typical control paladin shell with lots of draw, but only 5 secrets with the plan that Subject 9 would find those. The secrets I chose were particularly undisruptive, and were intended to demonstrate clearly how little interest I had in winning the game.
Despite that, the hardest part was finding an opponent able to recognise when someone is just trying to complete an achievement, and then choose to be kind. I guess it's fitting it was a The Last Kaleidosaur quest paladin who finally helped me out, though I did feel a little bad when my Reckoning killed his Galvadon.
I assume that this is because Invoke is specifically tied to the Celestial cards. Same mechanic, just tied to a different set of cards and so it uses a different word.
In terms of Hearthstone, the closest comparison to this would be Spare Parts to Death Knight cards.

Lock and Load Hunter is actually decent and very fun to play. Beast Hunter is not bad either.
New Neutral Minion - Far Watch Post
Considering all the more problematic cards in the meta, you've sure chosen a strange one to complain about.

I'm really not concerned with the fact that Google is now aware that I occasionally play Face Hunter and have a Demon Hunter deck named "Big Tiddies"
