A major issue with limiting the number of classes is that some classes are natural counters to others. You need a whole spectrum of classes - all having pros and cons against each other - to avoid one becoming top dog by default.

Besides, class balance during Classic was pretty finely tuned such that all the classes were perfectly playable (it would have been a disaster if the game launched and some of the classes were notably weaker than others!), so you don't need to come up with solutions to the more narrow metas we are used to in modern Hearthstone.

I presume by a 'powercreep deck' you just mean a meta deck? In the context of the Classic format there is no powercreep there since everything is at its original power level by definition.

Is that something in the works? I think it would be nice to have.

I imagine that if you got them initially through the achievement then you won't be able to get them again. But if you got them through crafting then you will be able to get them again through the achievement.

It was Lifecoach's hunter deck that ran 2 river friggin crocolisks. it almost got me legend back in 2014, rank 1 with five stars, and then i lost 9 games in a row. And since then i haven't bothered to grind to legend in 6 years. So yeah, that one is very personal to me.

I didn’t craft the parrot, but I crafted Murk Eye.  My question reading this was “If I disenchant Murk Eye right now, when the achievement is added will I get him back since I have all the murlocs needed?”  Wish someone would have asked him that honestly

I'm certain it wasn't in the list of cards that got moved to the Hall of Fame when I asked this. It's still not in the list of cards that got the Elemental tag later. Neither is Molten Giant.

It's a common joke on the Hearthstone subreddits - probably a bad place to bring the joke though. I wasn't being serious.

They have clarified that if you already own cards that are added to Core, you will have two copies - your version and the rental version. If you want, you can disenchant your version and still play with the Core version for 1 year. However, once Core changes, you will lose your free copy. If you keep both, you will still have your copy no matter what changes come to Core in the future.

To me, streamers are for learning how to play a deck, or general entertainment. I wouldn’t rely on them for guidelines related to upcoming changes. Stick to OOC for that stuff 😉 

I find the idea of the Core set to be interesting. I hope that after the details are unveiled about what the specific cards are that it still seems to be an interesting idea.

Thanks for the warning Avilon, lol. Looks like I have a major project ahead of me when they come out. I'm really happy to see them moving in this direction. 

This deck is better and more versatile than the previous version.  I kept Commencement in mulligan every time and it's often a concede when you play it.

I'm with you on forgeting Saddlemaster existed, I haven't seen that card once since the set was announced.

If it's a Core-only card, the golden version would share the same fate as the regular version. At this time, that fate has not been decided, but the plan is to move them to Wild.

I would assume that Core cards that originated in other sets will not have golden achievements, because those cards are craftable and disenchantable. They do not normally give out free golden cards that are disenchantable.

I didn't get any e-mail confirmation code either, other then this:



There has to be some recent security issue associated with how they manage username accounts.
The hackers are somehow overriding my old username with a new one, but they can't access my e-mail 

I had no problems for 10 years... now its the second time this happens after they implemented their new acc system

Does anyone have any other experiences of being hacked before?
