I completely understand and feel the same. I have shifted to Arena for this reason as ranked fells just stale and boring. Climbing to D5 is more chore than fun. But even Arena feels stale after some time, would really like to see more rotations.
Some thoughts:
HS economy is still a problem; yes they did some improvements but as said above getting relevant epics and legendaries can still be a problem; also in my opinion it is still the shittiest economy from all major card games
The fact that only a limited number of cards actually see play in ranked is pretty common in card games though; I cant speak of LoR but in MTGA it is pretty much exactly the same; this might be an inherent feature to some degree
The bottom line for me is that I would like to see more rotations. Another idea would be to introduce more game formats e.g. in MTGA you have the pauper format (only commons) and other. But even that would only be fun with enough rotations.

This here shows what I suspected that case will be - yes core cards will be free, but only for as long as they are part of the core set. Once they go back to Wild, you won't have them anymore. Only cards that you opened in packs or crafted will be yours forever.
So don't disenchant anything!

I agree with what people above me said. To add more - there are some shifts on a daily basis or on a certain ranks when you go up/fall down. That is why, in my experience, it is very good for your rank to just keep playing when you land in the area where you have good match ups and crazy win streaks. There is no rule to it, it just happens randomly. Sometimes it is one afternoon, sometimes it is just a few hours, but there will be favorbale windows for your deck and my advice is to use the maximum out of it when it comes.
Also, if you have already hit the high diamond league, all you need is time to get to legend. In the new system you are matched with the similar skill opponents so you do not get better opponents if you advance on ladders. (you may get more motivated ones, but it is nowhere near the old ladder system where ranks 3-leg were crazy competitive).
Hitting legend requires playing a lot of games, so better do it with the deck you enjoy :)
It looks like they chose the last balance patch before Naxx, which would theoretically be when Classic was the most balanced within itself. As I recall, class balance was actually really good back then, which will be a nice change from Standard and Wild which are much harder to achieve that with due to the larger card pools.
Won't Murloc Warleader buff ALL murlocs on the board (yours and the enemies) like it use to? Also does Secret Keeper currently buff on anyone playing a secret and if so, will that come back too?
Murloc Warleader buffs all murlocs, yes.
Secretkeeper never changed in that regard. She still gets buffed everytime a secret is played, doesn't matter if it's you or your opponent. So she won't change.
Kind of amazing what a major controversy and a mass exodus to a much generous game can accomplish in the hearts and minds of the devs.
For the record- people have been suggesting (and begging for) something very similar to this for literally years. Now it shows up only a couple of months after the Hearthstone reddit exploded with people leaving (mainly going to LoR) ... there is no way this is a coincidence.

I think the game would be a lot more fun if at the end of every month when the ranks reset they just mixed it up. They have the numbers and the fact that theyve been releasing cards as laughably bad as Deck of Chaos or Moonfang then shrug when they don't work.
Screw that! Why can't we have a round of buffs to these losers and a few more nerfs AT THE SAME time to at the very least mix things up so we're not stuck seeing the same garbage every other game.

The good news is, fewer people are willing to continue buying them because it's finally sinking in what a scam random packs are. They are a direct precursor to the loot boxes you see in other games, and every bit as predatory.
If you don't like buying a bunch of stuff you don't need or want -- stuff you are literally required by the game to destroy, moments after you bought it -- stop buying it. That's the only way Blizzard Activision will ever get the message.

I believe that the Zodiac years should have seasons that have super active rotating set of wild cards which make up the "core" of the game. I think every phase of the moon should mark a new shift of cards with special events that line up with space events in real life. Eclipses and planetary alignments should be used as markers for special events. I really think that Hearthstone missed an opportunity to keep the community on its toes... but these were my thoughts before the dawn of standard. When we dreamed of what was coming...

I agree with what people above me said. To add more - there are some shifts on a daily basis or on a certain ranks when you go up/fall down. That is why, in my experience, it is very good for your rank to just keep playing when you land in the area where you have good match ups and crazy win streaks. There is no rule to it, it just happens randomly. Murloc Warleader buffs all murlocs, yes.
Secretkeeper never changed in that regard. She still gets buffed everytime a secret is played, doesn't matter if it's you or your opponent. So she won't change.
