For quite some time now Mage has been the go-to 'random' class
Valeera's glowing eyes peer out of a dark corner of the Tavern, fixing an intense glare on Jaina. "So it's a random-off you want is it, mage?"
Everyone else groans as they return to their own games. All except Anduin that is, who eagerly watches to learn from his 'aunt'/advisor (Jaina) and bodyguard/spy/messenger/adopted sister/most trusted friend (Valeera). "Wow" he says, "that's really impressive Jaina! Where are you getting those cards from?"
She conjures a small portal and matter-of-factly answers with "thin air".
He turns his head to ask the same of Valeera, who gives the same answer with a sheepish glance at the adjacent table. An answer which she insists upon when Uther storms over calling for justice after his Tirion Fordring vanished from the board during his own game against Garrosh (who, being the good sport that he is, just laughed and pressed his attack).
At the end of the game, all 3 of them are wearing ridiculous smiles, and it doesn't matter that the winning card was the last in a line of 5 cards created out of 'thin air'. But the dark shadow of Illidan looms over them and snarls "Children, the lot of you. Let me show you how to play this game."
"Very well," replies Jaina with a wink to Anduin, "but I must warn you: you are not prepared for what I have up my sleeve."
Vacating her seat, Valeera slinks back to her corner, taking the scenic route past Uther's back pocket on the way.
I played warlock and just died. No reason to use your hero power in a game where you get tons of cards each turn. Went with Mage I was able to get an apprentice out first turn and that helped a lot
Fedrion: It's an interesting idea, but I'm not sure if it is balanced. Maybe someone else can give you better feedback about this. If I had to decide right now I'd say it's alright. I'd probably rate it 4 stars.
DestroyerR: Ancient of Mana is decent, but I prefer Elegant Spellmaster.
Hordaki: Really nice and flavorful, I like it!
NerdyCNerd: Looks cool balance-wise, but I don't really get the connection between Tess and increasing the Cost of your opponent's cards. But then I only know her burgle style Hearthstone card, maybe there's some WoW stuff going on I don't know about.
We have until the next full expansion. When exactly that will be, nobody knows. Historically, it has been the first week of April, so that should leave us with 12 more weeks. But the Darkmoon was released earlier than expected, so it may be that the next expansion will also be a bit earlier. However, we will still get a second wave of Darkmoon and a new game mode has also been promised before the next expansion, so lots of stuff still waiting for us. Again, nobody knows for sure, but all considered, I would be very surprised if it would be less than 10 weeks.
Also, someone said they're gonna choose another hero next.. will these hero skins be available again when the battle pass resets next expansion?
Well, there isn´t anything confirmed yet afaik, but it makes sense that we will be able to choose all of the skins during the period of ten seasons, because otherwise people would be pissed if they like more than one skin and would miss out on the others. It wouldn´t also make sense for Blizz to do a new set of 10 heroes every season/4months.
Cool idea but it definitely needs cost reduction, starting the game with extra crystals, or a mechanism that prevents high cost cards as options. Drawing 3 cards each turn is a fast track to burning cards.
I don´ know if it´s just me being lucky, but I got the last boss on first try. I´ve expected more but still it was a lots of fun for me.

At first I was affraid that after surviving those 12? turns he would jump at me with 100 health + tons of armor like "no mate, it ain´t that easy!", but no, that was it and I won/lost? in the end :D
I mainly play priest, but agreed with the others, it kinda looks like doo doo compared to the other portraits. I also think Valeera (rogue) looks the best, but Illidan (demon hunter) and Malfurion (druid) also look sick. I'll probably end up choosing one of those three.
Also, someone said they're gonna choose another hero next.. will these hero skins be available again when the battle pass resets next expansion?
The only reason Time Rip ever saw play was to empower Galakrond. Even so, it started being cut because removing one minion for 5 mana is bad tempo. Talk about no tempo for priest, it really needs heavy support in a no spell archetype, including ways to generate minions the first 4 turns. Even so, this card would see no play. Just compare it to the mage spell which summons you a 5 drop as well.
I was referring to the final encounter one. I have the Arthas from KOTFT, but this art is in a different league. It would be even more adequate to the lore of KOTFT. I'm affraid it was one of the options but since they have gone with all the censorship and "cartoonization" of the art in hearthstone to please asian market :( . Yeah, I still remember [Hearthstone Card (Succubus) Not Found]
The qualm with this ideology is that you need to continually save to get more. Like others, I would spend my gold on the initial month of an expansion's release and then save up to get packs of the new one that came out. I would usually bank up around 5500 for the release on top of what I bought as a bundle and it helped me not spend much cash on the game. I am wondering how much I will be able to save up now though as changes could still come into play AND the current track has a limited amount of XP that you can get with weekly and daily quests.
This is awesome!! I've always liked to have 1-3 serious meta decks set up for both Standard and Wild, but I like weird and goofy decks to play mostly because it's just fun to watch something dumb get pulled off in a match. Thanks for this write up, keep it up and I look forward to seeing anything else that gets posted.
Thanks for the post. I tinkered around with a similar deck idea albeit in wild some time ago. In wild you have multiple other options to make the deck even more RNG heavy. To name a few: Deck of Wonders (a must have for every wild Casino Mage), Cabalist's Tome, the original Yogg-Saron, Hope's End as well as Primordial Glyph. For total madness you can even slot in Mayor Noggenfogger. Needless to say that this deck was kind of bad, but it was fun.
I just want to say that, while I still have to get around to trying out these decks myself, I really appreciate what you're doing with this series to interject more of the casual fun element back into the Hearthstone community. Too often I only see people concerned about hard-core power levels and metadecks, which I think is in stark contrast the the theme of Hearthstone in the first place as a place to relax from adventures. Thank you for writing these up and encouraging us to just have fun sometimes.
Been thinking about entering some creation for a while, long time since I even tried to do one.
I thought about giving it higher mana cost, or less spell damage/stats.
In the end, you'll need a full hand to make it 1 mana and also a lot of damaging spells, I feel it a little broken in certain circumstances, but given the state of the game, doesn't feel that OP to me.

Spent the first game with a hand full of high cost cards, so my opponent and I just kept burning cards each turn. Well designed hah

Mini expansion should be this month.
Next set and rotation is usually in early April, but they've moved up the last few sets by a week or two, so it might be in late March.
