Its just bad. But because it finishes games, we can sort of overlook the supposed atrociousness of the card. Turn 6 deal x damage to face and draw 1 with a 4/4 body is worth considering. But ultimately, the question would be whether there's any justification for this card to leap over the much superior Dinotamer Brann, and my answer is a firm no.
It gets worse when you consider what kind of deck a hunter can fit this card in comfortably. What hunter doesn't play 1 drops, or play something like Phase Stalker? But there will come a time where even dealing a mere 1 damage to the face is invaluable enough that players will start running this card for that massive highroll potential that will no doubt further infuriate the playerbase about hunter's core design.
I'm thinking more or less the same thing. Hunter has a long and (not so) proud history of having really strong cards for big minion or combo decks that make no impact on the meta whatsoever. The only time I remember it really working out was with Kathrena Winterwisp, but that had the advantage that you could still run cheap non-beast minions.
That said, spell hunter can definitely work if the class has enough good minion-summoning spells to fill in the early game, so big hunter can work, but it is an uphill struggle. So learning from the past: I'll predict neither card sees much play, but I won't write them off completely.
There's just so much potential for this to be completely broken. But it ultimately costs too much and come at too late a stage to truly to effective.
We'll have to wait and see if hunter is afforded better survival tools for this to be even worthwhile considering. Otherwise this will join the pile of 'broken but' cards that basically litter hunter's card collection book.
Darkmoon Tonk looks strong. If the video is to be believed, then the missiles can hit the same enemy more than once, so if there isn't any minions on board, your opponent is looking at taking 8 damage from the deathrattle alone.
But that's where I have problems with this card. It only looks strong, like Maxima Blastenheimer, but at present there's little reason to want to run both cards, even in highlander hunter. There needs to be very strong mech synergies as well as some cards that can keep hunter actually alive to abuse both at its fullest potential. There's some obvious deathrattle synergies with stuff like [Hearthstone Card (carrions studies) Not Found], Nine Lives and Oblivitron but from my own experience with deathrattle hunter, they need better tools to stay alive as well as mount a stronger end game. This one solves only the latter (which you can argue for just about any late game card like the old gods), but not the very much more important former.
Blastenheimen is an all or nothing card, she's basically going to end the game right there or deal a mere 2 damage, since I cannot yet picture a hunter playing this card unironically and also not playing the usual suspects like Phase Stalker, or the bevy of 1 drops, or even Dragonbane for the matter. Maybe there's more support incoming for a minion-lite hunter, so blastenheimer will more often get the right minions out for that cost. But more likely its on her to prove herself more worthy than say, Dinotamer Brann, who guarantees 8 damage plus an 8/8 1 turn later.
This card is just rock solid, good attack? check. Good deathrattle? check.
lot of support in Wild, not as much in Standard outside of Maxima, Oblivitron and the Robot bear, but that might be enough, you're hoping to pull this with the bear, have Maxima summon Oblivitron and activate it's deathrattle and then summon this guy and activate its deathrattle on turn 6 for a whopping 12/9 worth of stats that's done 3 damage to the enemy hero and 2 damage to all enemies randomly 4 times.
seems strong but how often will we be able to pull it off?
If there are anyways of getting this onto the field without paying the 7 mana for it or Oblivitron, this card could be pretty decent but as of now it's just missing some support and looks really bad when hard casting it on its own.
Thanks a lot, KANSAS! I had saved the second one already as a strong candidate for my card. Now I see the two side by side, I might even use both: one for the normal version, and one as the corrupted.
Not hopeless but right now this card seems to clunky for ranked play. Good arena card however. I asked myself if I would slot this into my wild Mech Hunter deck and the answer is no. The cost is too high, at a lower mana cost with a similar effect this would be pretty much an auto-include though.
Honestly any deck with minions that have high attack and strong death rattles benefit from this lady.
Savannah Highmanes, The Darkmoon Tonk and Primordial Drake are some examples just in standard of this lady being able to deal good damage and then setting up a board.
In Wild she's a great include if you're playing Sylvannas Windrunner.
I think she'll be a blast in midrange hunter, I wouldn't want to put this in highlander since they have so many battlecries they want to play, and aggro face hunter has so many wimpy minions that this will just be wasted on

Tonk? Are we looking at a typo here, or what?
Anyway, card looks fun but not competitive outside of some crazy combo build ... which I will absolutely attempt.
Same with Maxima, though these 2 do pair well.

How does this card interact with Freezing Trap?

Meh card.
You need to cheat out It yo get competitive play.

Meanwhile, in Wild, those 2 might enable a Big Deathrattle Hunter that runs an early spell package to summon minions, and uses this to end the game.

An agressive Flark's Boom-Zooka.
As other guys said, It can fit only on a Big deathrattle deck.
Funny, but not competitive.

Big Deathrattle Hunter... I can see it work with Plagued Protodrake or even Khartut Defender as another payoff for Maxima.

I think the best outcomes for Maxima are Scrapyard Colossus, Plagued Protodrake, Darkmoon Tonk, and maaaaybe Anubisath Warbringer.
Hell maybe you also just run Deathwing with it for the chance for 12 burst damage
No clue if it'll be any good yet but I like big minion decks so I'll probably try it either way

If Spell Hunter could be a thing (and it was), then it's totally possible to make Hunter work with cheap spells and big minions.
