At least i'm glad there's no burnout with POE2 yet, but i do hate having to redo all the acts on cruel difficulty. I always hated this formula in Diablo too. Hopefully i won't get bored soon.
If it helps, the whole "redo the story, but on a harder difficulty" is just an Early Access thing. The first Path of Exile did something similar: once the full campaign was (finally) released, they dropped the need to go back through.
There will be six Acts of story in PoE2, and then you'll be able to head straight to end-game.
I'm fully into POE2 at this time. And it's awesome. Except some UI quirks which i hate :) Also, i wish they integrated the trading web page into the game.
Right now, cruel difficulty is kind of hard, so i'll have to trade for some better items overall. Also, refunding passives is TOO EXPENSIVE. Changing builds is not gonna happen soon - another issue i have with the game.
On mobile i'm playing Balatro. Reached ante 16 or 17 the highest. There's so much rng involved that most runs end up squashed quite early due to lack of increments of any kind. Probably getting a good/fulfilling game out of 4-5, but i guess it's fine. I'm not known for being lucky lol.
Damn life doesn't let me play the whole day, so i had to pause Stalker 2 and others. At least i'm glad there's no burnout with POE2 yet, but i do hate having to redo all the acts on cruel difficulty. I always hated this formula in Diablo too. Hopefully i won't get bored soon.
Reach 1.000 wins with Druid and Warrior, make significant progress with Shaman.
How about you guys and gals?
Good luck with both your Resolutions! Now I want to gather this kind of data of myself even if I am a decade late.
I would like to reach 350 wins with Death Knight and 500 with Paladin and Priest wich are really close. Also I would like to gather the will to reach legend. Been close but never did the final push
I guess I could get it with druid too, but it depends on how I feel the class during the year.
Going really slow here, but making steady progress.
Happy new year everyone! Time for the big 2024 recap :D
My Hearthstone year has been just as busy as the previous one with lots of milestones reached and even some surprises on the way:
All new year's resolutions done by pushing Demon Hunter, Paladin and Priest over the 1.000 wins threshold!
Optional new year's resolution done by improving my best rank: Hit legend on day 1 in September and made it to rank 40 💪
Reached 1.000 wins with my favorite class Death Knight shortly before their 2 year anniversary in Hearthstone. 💀
Reached 2.000 wins with Hunter which is the entry treshold to Sidisi's Hunter class wins leaderboard. 🏹
Literally on the last day of the year I've managed to improve my personal best score in Arena to 11 wins (previously 7)!
Kept the streak of reaching legend in Wild every month alive (ongoing since October 2022), got double legend twice and several Wild 11x finishes.
Class progression:
Overall very happy with this. 284 less wins than 2023 but I've also reached Platinum in Hades and spent almost all my gaming time in December with Diablo 4.
Moneys:
Ouch. Hunting signatures for Showdown in the Badlands was not the best idea I ever had.
Class leaderboard:
The general trend of favoring aggro decks won't change any time soon, so I expect Rogue and Priest to keep the top spots. Getting some numbers in here for DH and DK was very cool though!
New year's resolutions for 2025:
Spend less money on the game 💀
Reach 1.000 wins with Druid and Warrior, make significant progress with Shaman.
I have made a terrible mistake in this article. I called SSKtJL "2024's second biggest live-service crash and burn". It is not. It's actually in third.
By the way @StormKnightSera I did not know about that Witcher board game and after looking for some quick photos of it. I think I need it now xD Seems amazing
I did not look into it as much as I possibly should have, thinking The Witcher: Old World might be a cooperative/competitive mix. I don't think there're many cooperative elements involved, and instead it has a big focus on player vs player combat and kill-stealing monsters for the glory of one's Witcher School. My Grandma will not be a fan of that...even though she got it for me! D:
I stayed at home with my wife, but got her a book he has wanted for a some time. I think it is called "Ship of Theseus" in English by J.J. Abrams
She got me a new phone (Mine literally had the screen coming off all the time, so I needed a change) and got a blanket and a Fondeu set from the family.
Hoping to have a great New Yers Eve too as my mother in law is flying from Argentina to visit us so I want her to feel at home :)

The purchasing system on Epic Games is currently having a major outage and very few (if any) people are currently able to buy the game. We'll update you when we're able to buy the game.
The issue is now fixed. You should have no problem "buying" the game. On that note, there are also 11 free add-ons right now, and many others that are less than $1 to buy. There's also a GOTY upgrade that's less than $10 until January 9th, so if you love the game now, you can also get a pretty good deal for extra content.
Merry Christmas everybody! We had a very chill few days that were mostly spent eating and relaxing. I got personalised espresso mugs and a very beautiful art piece from my wife. Blizzard was kind enough to dish out some gifts as well - got my first mythics ever in diablo today!
I got headphones and a board game for Christmas, plus a couple smaller things like chocolate. Gonna probably buy myself a Horipad Steam Controller when I get a chance.
We used to do Yankee swaps because my mother was one of 12. Each of them had 4ish kids. Now those kids have had kids... ect. We've fallen out of doing it recently as we are now spread across the country, but I have fond memories of picking out fun gift ideas that I know would be hot items! We basically had two camps. The Nerds, who loved anything Star Wars and the athletes. There was a Star Wars themed basketball or volleyball that went nuts one year!
I've actually worked most holidays, retail sucks, but this year my sister had a baby. Now I am going to go eat pie and play peekaboo! Nothing sounds better.
I've gotten into Path of exile 2 and it's awesome! The bosses are tough as hell. The act 2 one is damn annoying for my sorceress. More or less it feels like a Souls game and I like it. Some systems need improvements (stupidly limited inventory, respeccing is too expensive in my opinion) but the patches are good.
Also eager to try the new HUGE patch in Stalker 2, and check the changes to A-Life. Apparently they fixed what was annoying me most about the game lol.
I was able to get most of what I wanted, but still missing Mew EX. Hopiing to get it soon before I start saving for next expansion. So around11 days to get it. Wouldbe happy with Pidgeot EX or Aerodactyl EX too, but Mew is my chase card. Also missing Morelull from the 1 diamond cards for some reason, I seemyself crafting it as I did with others on Genetic Apex to get Alt Mew.
Also got too many Vaporeons, both full art and normal. Every timeI get one I remember that meme.....
I don't have any images to share this time around, but after hoarding about 280 hourglasses, I opened a bunch of packs from this mini-set. Currently at 60/68 cards, with the headliner of those missing probably being Gyarados EX.
Still, I've done quite well within the 30-33 packs I've opened: immersive Celebi EX, holographic Mew EX and Aerodactyl EX, plus some full-art cards for Serperior, the new Exeggutor, the new Vaporeon, Dedenne, and Marshadow. I have three full-art Vaporeons, actually, so an extra one for consideration when trading becomes a thing :)
I have to recommend the Mistborn Deck Building Game by Brotherwise games.
My aunt bought that - it was pretty fun. Do you find Vin wins all the games? That's been our experience so far lol.
In other news, I went to Millennium Games - the biggest board/card/tabletop game store in the US - on Black Friday and bought "ISS Vanguard". It's about a crew working together on humanity's first interstellar spaceship. As mentioned before, the game is 4 players only, and our game nights are regularly 5 people, but I figure I can be the "storyteller" and general helper person to the others playing the crew. So hopefully that'll be fun!
Found some success with Marsh too, I really enjoy his abilities, but I must say Vin is really strong too, she is really flexible and finds it easier to adapt to market RNG.
Got into the games I planned, but also got to play Balatro using a remote desktop as I am doing a Marketing Course for Unemployed (I have a whole lot of Marketing Knowledge but it is something I studied in Argentina and they do not like my Degree in Spain) and have lots of spare time during explanations and sometimes even during exercices.
So far I am 19 hours in and I can say I understand why it was so well regarded. Played all the decks possible on the first difficulty and now I am eager to try the next one and the new deck it unlocks.
I also converted my steam copy into an APK so there is not escape. Worst decision ever. My F2P phone games must be feeling lonely
A little over two weeks into Diablo IV I'm speechless at the sheer immensity of this game. I have really put in quite a few hours but the number of things I can do keeps on increasing, I haven't even unveiled the whole map yet. That said it's lots of fun and the graphics are so beautiful! Can't wait to dive a little deeper still :-)
(Current standings: Finished the main campaign, but not the DLC yet. Level 60 Blood Surge Necromancer, unlocked Torment difficulty just yesterday.)
Hearthstone hasn't been much fun lately although I've used my 11x star bonus to climb to legend with Hooktusk Pirate Rogue which was really cool. Entered at top 300 and left it at that mostly. Grinding out the event games is a chore for someone who usually rarely plays Standard and no BGs at all. Surely we'll get a Seedlock nerf before the holidays, right? 😬
