Honestly feel Twist has been handled the worst compared to all other game modes (even Mercs and that's saying something) Team 5 clearly have no interest in the mode so why even keep it around anymore?
I wasn't convinced that Super Switch was a good choice for the name, but I think you laid out some very solid reasoning for why it would have made sense. It does feel like Nintendo revealing it with any name other than "Switch 2" (what everyone has been calling it for at least a year) would have generated a lot more buzz through freshness alone.
However, the "Switch 2" branding may have a lot to do with what you said about the failure of the Wii U: Nintendo wants people to know that this is an entirely new console and not just an upscaling of the existing Switch hardware, and "Switch 2" is probably the cleanest way to make sure of that (Those who remember the SNES would likely have caught on with "Super Switch," but there's a chance that younger fans would treat the word "Super" as a modifier, and therefore see the Super Switch as a slightly better Switch).
I think it makes sense thematically as Mutalisks in SC2 would deal big damage but effectively glass cannons as they were very squishy. 2 Thor units would wipe out my horde of Mutalisks immediately
Knew it would have something to do with neighbor minions :D the Mutalisks glaive attack would bounce to other units and was so strong in SC2, would wipe out an army of Marines in seconds :D
I see what you mean but it's such a strong effect I see why they gave it bad stats. Demon Hunter also has more than just creep Tumor to give it rush so it's not just dead without Tumor.
I also like Lurker a lot. While it has Zerg synergies it's the card that works best outside of the Zerg faction. I wish more of the cards in this set were generically good but I understand why they made it so parasitic design wise.
Excited to see what warlock* gets, but right now if I go Zerg I think I need to Baneling people! :)
*Edit: Interesting how defensive Warlock went. Not what I expected. I do love deathrattle locations though, that's a cool design.
I dislike the design of Mutalisk. It only works if you have Creep Tumor activated, but it's impossible it survives otherwise. 3/6, 4/5 or 4/4 would've been better statlines, IMO.
Hah, my first thought when I saw the press drop on that item was "is this EU or NA dates?" and I'm glad it was further clarified. This is a call to stop ambiguous dates, YYYY-MM-DD is the superior format for all dates and we should all bow before our great savior ISO 8601.
Oh yeah, I didn't even think about how amazing it will be with a new Smash on the horizon.
CONFIRMED FOR BRAWL memes were an incredible moment in internet history and making references to it is a favourite of mine. It would be wild if Nintendo lead the release with a Smash game, though I suspect that will end up coming down the line a bit later, possibly holiday season the following year, which would allow a lengthy tease process regarding characters.
Though, it could be that Super Smash Bros Ultimate also just gets a refresh for the Switch 2. The game is incredible as-is so do we really need a completely new title? Tough call.
As a Zerg main, I'm loving all these flavorful cards. Really hope we get a Mutalisk minion, let's guess that it does "Battlecry: Deal x damage to a minion and an adjacent minion"
While I remain hurting from my biopsy, I was thinking that I need to find a "cozy" game that I can just play without requiring my full attention, ya know? Something that doesn't need me to tryhard: love Lies of P, quite enjoyed Black Myth: Wukong back in August, and so on, but they require the player to maintain focus (and a fair bit of discipline). Kinda hard to play them when you're drowsy on pain meds, half-asleep lol.
Almost done with Lies of P, by the way, but I've "lost" a fair bit of potential playtime to naps and the like. Also the Horipad Steam Controller turned out to be just what I wanted: it's rather perfect for taking screenshots.
In case anyone was wondering, the new names are Wailing Banshee, Spore Hallucination, and Stormcoil Mothership. That's at least according to the Hearthstone wiki.
Only one I'm sad about is Hallucination, since the old name was super-clean. Also, flowers don't have spores. It should be Pollen Hallucination.
Just a little note here: Hallucination and Mothership may have you scratching your heads because of these two cards:
We've ended up finding out that these two cards (as well as Banshee) will be renamed upon the mini-set's launch. In any other case, I would just leave the names of the old cards alone and rename the new ones, but this is a rare instance where I think an exception is justified given the theme of the mini-set.
I think, art wise, it's the hearthstone part that's messing with you. If it was a Starcraft CCG the art would be much more in a gritty space style. However, because it's pulling one universe into another, they are making the art match what is established. So, it loses some of its epicness. That's a shame but I do love the signature Battlecruiser. I think the signatures will really shine in this mini set.
I also agree that Starships missed in potency, but I do love the flavor they add to the game/set. I'm curious if the Terran theme of wanting you to launch multiple Starships/Battlecruisers a game will make them play better, especially with the discounts to launching Terran get.
There's something hilarious about spending over 10 years making cards of characters with all sorts of bizarre and fantastical names, and now here's this guy called Jim.
Sounds like it could be the name of my next door neighbor.

Nintendo Avoided a Wii U Disaster – But Switch 2 Still Feels Like a Bland Name
I wasn't convinced that Super Switch was a good choice for the name, but I think you laid out some very solid reasoning for why it would have made sense. Looks like 2 mana Backstage Table wasn't so OP after all. Changing it back.
Also Deathrattle locations! Knew it would happen at some point.

Wording on the Demon Hunter cards is so weird.
I've never been a fan of using parentheses for conditional effects because it looks so unnatural.

Close enough for ya? hehe While it doesn't have a Battlecry, it has the neighbor effect you were guessing. It can even go face while not going face :D

Jim Raynor & More Heroes of StarCraft Card Reveals for January 14 - Day 2
Human names are usually the most boring. Jim Raynor, Sarah Kerrigan from Starcraft. Not everyone can be Hakkar, the Soulflayer or Patches the Pirate sometimes you are just Bob the Bartender.
Starcraft Comes to Hearthstone on January 21st in The Great Dark Beyond Mini-Set: Heroes of StarCraft!

Love this set already.
Starships are fun, not great but fun. Love the Terran just wanting multiple launches a game.
Protoss discounting big dudes is very on theme. Druid will make good use of the cards, curious how it will play out in the other classes.
Invoke the Powers of the Witch Doctor in Diablo IV's Season of Witchcraft, Coming January 21st
Maybe not what people wanted when they asked for the Witch Doctor to join Diablo IV, but still seems like a potentially fun Season.
Also, why is it not called "Season of the Witch"? The reference was right there for those that wanted it.
