While I'm personally heavily biased towards MTG, seeing as how I've played it for almost half my life now and write about it here on the site, I think your best option would be with finding a single player digital card game, as typically its hard to find communities to play some of the more niche card games. There's stuff like Slay the Spire and Monster Train, which I'd both rate fairly high. The other thing I would reccomend are "board game"-esque card games, where you just need to find another person to play with since all the cards come with the board, this would be stuff like Munchkin and Codename, though these types of games are for more than 2 people, so that might not be the best option.
If your dead set on finding another TCG besides MTG, I've heard generally good things about Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokemon, Cardfight, and Dragon Ball Super. Granted I never got to play a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh!, Cardfight, and Dragon Ball Super so I'm not sure what the pro's and con's of each of them are, as well as the latter two being much smaller than the 'main three so it might be harder to fight a dedicated playgroup.
Just a small tip: Labs is currently PvE and is not that hard. The thing is that you get your daily PvP bonus from winning those games, so it's a easy way to get some extra XP if you don't feel like playing vs other players.
It amounts to 800 XP (1st win), 400 XP (2nd win) etc. on your road maps (with the 50 % boost).
Oh man, are you in for a treat. This game is fantastic, and it clobbers hearthstone pretty hard when it comes to player decisions actually mattering.
So far, the variety of viable decks is pretty high. The devs aim for about 30 competitive decks at any given time. Even when one or two decks are clearly the strongest, there are still many other viable decks.
As for budget decks, there is a great one with Elise that I'm using now in platinum. Link here
Same here as OP, I quit too. Blizz cannot correct HS it's too messed up. The only way would be to be start over and release HS 2. Not holding my breath for this though but I am still checking the HS websites for any meaningful changes that could bring me to play again.
Is there any other site besides this one that provides good information about decks? Or a good content creator that can provide information and help me learn more about the game?
Oh boy -- where you begin?
I'm working hard on making some newcomer guides for this site. Obviously they aren't up yet but when they are I'm covering extensively is how to build your first few decks
Streamer Saucy Mailman has a series of YouTube videos intended for new players; those are indexed at his site https://www.saucymailman.com/guides
Speaking of YouTube: that's my favorite source for decks because you get context plus to see them played and in-game explanations. I'm especially partial to:
So what are the strats? What's the best passive and packages to pick for both Leona and Diana? I'm kind of missing these from the article. I'm rather new to LoR and can't judge power levels well.
Sorry, Theodrinus -- I thought about doing a "best" comment on each, but honestly playing through it multiple times I found merit to multiple different builds. If I were pressed to say what I think the easiest build for each was, I'd say:
I don't really like the new meta. It feels extremely highroll-y. You might be doing fine, but then come turn 8 you take 30 damage and get last.
That's, in my opinion, how it should be.
Basically you start taking real damage around turn 6, so there's more than enough time to settle on a build and see if rng contents to give you the right minions to survive to the last 4. Reducing the damage output will mean games lasting longer, and while that means most of the losing half of players get to stay on longer, it'll soon get tedious. Not going to lie, the only reason I still played battlegrounds at all is because games tend to only be 20-30 minutes long. Any longer and that's it for me, and I suspect that to be the same for most casual players too.
You are fine with a single turn deciding whether or not you get top 4? Because I had one turn of bad rolls and am facing someone who had really good rolls, that means I deserve last? Honestly want to know if this is your opinion.
I tend to think that its just part of how the game works. Unfortunately battlegrounds is mostly an rng fest that can go both ways, and I simply play it for fun. From my perspective, the game is hollowed out as it is and if it drags on any further then I get turned off by it. If rng spits on my face, I just move on to another game.
None of that from me. But there have been times where hearthstone simply would not behave, so I guess there might have been some issue either with your provider or that region's servers.
There were difficult times. I had to leave the city and move to the village. Here is very very slow Internet and I can not connect to any game (HS or LOR). I asking those who are familiar with card games (which are not for the computer). What games do you advise to play? I played once a couple of matches in MTG, but I did not particularly like the mechanics of lands. So, on which game I need pay attention and which set can I buy for start (2 players)? Or do i need to look at MTG again?

Anyone else experiencing this over the past few days? Every card I play or attack I cue up takes an extra few seconds to happen, and I'm getting disconnected and reconnected almost every single turn. So far, I've only lost one game due to this, since the disconnects are generally very brief. It's so annoying though!
Internet seems to be working fine for other purposes around the house. I tried shutting down and restarting my computer, as well as power-cycling my router.

I finally decided to test Runeterra

What You Need to Know about the New Runeterra Lab, Journey to the Peak
Tried with Leona once and lost to A-Sol's insane infinite value.
Tried with Diana once and lost to Trundle.
It's good that it's not easy to insta-win, but man that A-Sol fight made going back intimidating.

I really don't understand why they give you the choice to pick Ezreal in a deck where you don't have many things that target enemies

None of those, but KANSAS almost had it with Dreadsteed.
