The main issue with the Book of Heroes is that the story is too condensed to be intelligible by someone who desn't know Warcraft lore. You don't sum up 15 years of WoW like this.
More than that, Grommash is leader of the Warsong clan, so the card is just being used for flavour reasons.
Even so, the card quite possibly will get a rework, but it's appearance in the adventure isn't saying much.
Re Night Elf tribe: this has apparently already been clarified as just a use of leftover code from way back (probably alpha or pre-alpha), as Regis mentions at the end of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y35FqDVO0fk
I saw it after the kaelthas match which was actually challenging and then.. the rest were just "press the button lol" so I thought maybe there was a future rework that would make the inclusion of that card make sense.. guess got excited for nothing but at least they looked at the card and added it to a deck so maybe they are aware of it existing..

Looking forward to Omnath picking up the last black color in a future expansion. I like how that character keeps evolving. If you want to get really weird maybe one more appearance after that as colorless.
While I am usually a fanboy, enjoy solo-content, and am more than willing to accept some imperfections, I was also pretty disappointed with this. If you look at the gaming experience you play 8 pretty straightforward games in a row with a pretty similar deck, where the hero power quickly outpowers most cards and no option for any deck customization. Felt pretty bland.
From the storytelling perspective, it felt like the management summary of Jaina's story with fast-forward pressed down. As a WC3 and WoW veteran, I am pretty familiar with the lore but I wonder if anyone who isn't already familiar actually got any more idea at all. Hard to judge for me, but it felt like a bunch of disjointed one-liners to me.
Though the voice acting and portraits were good...
I saw her in the solo adventure so either they wanted to make this encounter extremely easy by giving him garbage cards (more likely) or will warsong commander get a rework or something to do with injured minions/weapon? maybe they left her as she made sense.
One can only hope for justice to the most obvious "we don't want to deal with this card so we deleted it but it's still there for people to wonder just why it exists" card.
also Malfurion has "Night elf tag" foreshadowing that night elves being a tribe?
When's the last time any of you saw a Mogwai stream talking about the meta, or a meta update by Swim, thats because the meta is dominated by Bilgewater and until adjustments are made there is nothing to talk about. I'm all for liking the region, but do you guys seriously want the game to stagnate forever?
I don´t think there is a disagreement here, as you mentioned there is a difference between individual cards and archetypes that are based on them. In fact i think Riot, unlike other developers like Blizzard or CDPR, maintained a good balance introducing new cards and keeping older decks viable. You might even argue that new archetypes are too weak in comparison to older ones. So far. Since CotM is spread over three releases, the verdict is still out there. We have to wait and see what direction CotM is going to.
But if you look at some cards, their "value for mana cost" is crazy. I am thinking of cards like "The Golden Sister" that gives 8/6 of vanilla power, spread on two bodies, one with Lifesteal and the other with Elusive. Another example is living legends, a 10 mana burst spell that refills your mana and fills your hand with 0 cost cards. And there are more cards in the invoke pool that are just crazy in terms of value and way above the mana/stats ratio of older cards.
Dude that isn't a nerf, it just puts it in line with bannerman and every other allegience card, can you only post when you have a clue what you're talking about k thanks bye. Not to mention high level players are talking about the exact same thing, new set = pointless.
I stand behind my nerf to Tundra Rhino and Charge cards in general. Not just because it's dangerous, but also because TR is one of those situtational cards that completely sucks most of the time, but will inevitably become part of a broken combo given time. This is the exact opposite of what the basic set should be. However, giving beasts Rush is an effect Hunter always benefits from, not as a combo effect but as a tempo one, hence the cost reduction. However it's true that it's still weak so I'll buff it again to a 2/6 in the next iteration of this set.
Savannah Highmane is definitely too powerful to be in the Classic set. Back in the day we joked that Hunter was the only class that can have 2x the same legendary in its deck because SH has legendary-tier power level. I could nerf it but I prefer Infested Wolf instead to avoid unnecessary nerfs.
Pressure Plate is also a defensive secret (and a spell counter). I disagree about Wandering Monster because it's too strong and random. Bear Trap could have been an alternative, unfortunately it's only triggered after the attack so it's not a defensive secret.
I will change the cost of Unleash the Hounds to 2 but not for this reason. Looking at french vanilla minions (= minions with only keywords in their text) you can see that Rush is actually worth MORE than Taunt in terms of Cost.
I think Terrorscale is better simply because Princess Huhuran is a legendary and her effect is too restrictive to be a Classic legendary.
It is true that I designed my core sets around expansion card but I should, because expansions give us an idea of what card/effect can become broken when the right cards are printed. I also designed this set around my (WIP) neutral core sets which contains a lot of good midrange beasts.
Generally I've been seriously underwhelmed/bored by the majority of adventures post Rastakhan (which, due to my completionist nature, I massively burned out on cause of how many shrines there were and how heavily some encounters were stacked against you). And while I generally agree that getting a new dungeon run every expansion would get extremely tiresome too, this half-assed "content" (one person could cobble this idea together in an afternoon, then it's just implementation time) ain't exactly scratching the adventure itch either and in some respects I'd rather they not even spend time and resources on this crap if that's the extent they intend to develop it to. I'd much prefer if the middle expansion of each year included a serious, good quality dungeon run adventure with the rest of the expansions getting nothing. Quality over quantity. But when has that ever been the AAA way of doing things? They'd rather half-ass it three times a year than do it properly once. As somone who doesn't give a crap about the packs, the content itself has nothing to offer if the gameplay experience is poor.
You can also write an introduction to your card and explain it if needed, something I missed out on and realised when I started voting on other cards. =/
Thx, i wasn't sure if i uploaded the card correctly so i also posted it in the description below the card, i hope that is ok ? if not i hope someone can remove it from the description without any problems.

I'm glad it was free, and I did find the first run through enjoyable except the second fight where you have hardly any minions.
Playing through the other 2 times (I play on 3 regions) was a bit tiresome primarily because there a lot of dialogue in between games you can't skip. So sometimes the closing, between game and opening dialogue means you are simply waiting for over a minute to play next game.
A heroic mode where you draft your own deck would have been nice too.

4 Lee Sin Decks to Try After Runeterra Patch 1.10
I'd almost be tempted to drop a Will of Ionia from Jinni's list for an actual Mushroom Cloud. Almost.
Sigh! Another garbage solo adventure...

Why No Bilgewater Nerfs?
Casually ignores the Yordle Grifter nerf and the fact that they literally mentioned one of the cards in your post being on their watch list
Yeah, this is indeed a QQ post.
"Sejuani might as well be bilgewater"
Can you please only make posts when you're at least somewhat sober, thanks.
Why No Bilgewater Nerfs?
So Bilgewater has been the tempo king since rising tides
https://lor.mobalytics.gg/stats/regions
mobalyitics has 3 of their lists exceeding 55 percent win rate.
https://www.swimstrim.com/runeterra/decks-and-meta
Swim has the number of top tier bilgewater lists at 5
and then there's literally everything else in the game that comes after
It absolutely blows the mind that this region has dodged nerfs this long, and really shows how little the developers play their own game.
You are thinking well they hit war chefs, and Ezreal, but those cards were never the issue.
It has always been the core region cards.
Best 3 drop, and is good at aggro and control plays
best removal in the game
best finisher in the game
best 1 drop in the game
best champ who might as well be bilgewater
I know you are all thinking QQ
but I just want to play the new set, and there's literally no reason to right now and that sucks
Ancestor's Call
destroy this card pls
Randomonium
thanks!
Cheese's custom revamp of the HUNTER core sets!
As promised, I'm back.
Will modify it.
