Oh. thats sad. I always enjoed the atmosphere and the hype "in the Air" even though I only watched it with the Virtual Ticket(Think of me whatever you want, but I had my fun with the Ticked).
In my only case of Legend climb attempt (few minutes ago), it was in Wild, which is possibly easier.
But I made it by taking a deck that proved strong to me (Discolock) and tuned it against the meta I was expecting and actually encountering: in Wild it was full of board&weapon Aggro, so I went for Freeze package (3 cards, not just 1), and it worked really well.
So maybe trying to tech against the meta may help. I don't know how to counter Standard higher meta, or if it is possible at all, but the principle should be of some help.
PS: and yes, as og0 suggested, you need the right state of mind: get rid of expectations, you already reached a great result. Anything that comes now from D4 and on should be taken as a gift. Just play at your best and try to laugh at your bad luck when it happens. Legend rank is a side effect.
Trying to counter the meta you find? Admirable, but mistaken.
Each time i do that, like either changing decks or tech some cards in like silence or oozes, those opponents are gone and only appear like 2 times out of 20 when before it was like 8 or more times.
I hear ppl saying this ALL THE TIME, and it really triggers me cause it just feels like they are playing a different game than me. Like for real give me your account so that i can play against the decks that im ready to face.
Like all those streamers and their youtube videos like "pick this deck and farm the X deck" and im like "bro each time i do that those decks become a rarity to face". Like for real whats the secret behind tech or deck countering and actually facing them? cause i dont know what it is.
I adjusted according to meta reports AND my own experience.
I did NOT adjust according to the previous 2-3 opponents, but according to stats.
Also, I was able to apply the correct techs, that is something that is still good against most other matchups. Not just hard counters to some cards. And I did it in a deck I was already confident about.
Finally, adjusting against local ranks is not a foolproof activity that grants you wins. It just improves your chances to win, and only if you can do it optimally (ie the meta is quite specific as to have counters against a variety of decks, as it was in my case).
dont get me wrong i understand what you are saying, but just to give u an example, is that after playing for a week on 2 different accounts i came to the conclusion that running a deck that isnt bad against some of the matchups and fully counters the most faced deck which for me it was secret mage (wild) i decided to pick cubelock and behold I played a little bit more than 20 matches that night and faced only 2 secret mages. the next day i gave up on it and went to another deck and faced 6 secret mages in 16 games. fun huh? i mean i won 4 out of 6 cause the deck also worked but it wasnt tailored to win it.
can give the other example of using ooze which i dont, but considering pirate warrior cubelock and secret mage all use the weapon (sure secret mage can win without aluneth) i wonder what opponents will i start facing if i tech in ooze. cause oh boy i remember the good old days of standard cubelock, and everyone using double ooze and sure enough yours truly did so only to face 5% of cubelocks when before it was 20%. like i said i really wish i could use other ppls account cause trying to counter the meta i face and not the last 3 matches, results in said meta disappearing leaving me with a subpar deck or an irrelevant tech in my deck for the next opponents.
The feeling of spending a whole night thinking it was just a bad streak of luck and the meta ive been facing will now appear but they never do is nothing short of gut wrenching.
I like Magic Mirror the most but it seems a bit too strong given that it has a pretty good taunt body for 6 while also having a Faceless Manipulator on top. I would say that it should probably be 7 or maybe even 8 mana.
I'd say High Justice Grimstone is my favorite from a realism perspective. Of course, that doesn't necessarily translate to scoring performance, so I'm not sure if this is too helpful or not.
Overall, I'd say Grimstone your best card. He's quite simple, but he really feels like one of those old Adventure legendaries. I'd make him cost 4, though.
Magic Mirror has a novel effect and is flavourful, but in my eyes, the star voting system tends to favour conservative designs.
Tad, the Fisher is quite cool, but you should give it at least 1 Attack. A Battlecry minion with no Attack is just a spell xD
High Justice Grimstone - I like it, but I would make him a 2/4 or a 4 mana 3/5.
Magic Mirror - At worst, this is a 50% chance to copy the enemy minion you want. Seem okay to me, but it's not as flashy as it looks.
Tad, the Fisher - Hard to see why this needs to be 0-attack, flavor wise. I also think you're overestimating the battlecry a little.
It seems High Justice Grimstone is a resounding success. The only thing we can't agree on is the cost/stats. I want him to be a lot better than Gnomish Inventor, and I don't think costing 1 less mana, or having 1 more attack is enough. I really like the 3 mana 3/4 stat-line. It looks good, it feels good, it is a solid stat-line for a 3-drop. And when you pair that with a simple yet powerful battlecry, like drawing a card, you get a very powerful, yet fair, solid, aesthetically pleasing 3 mana minion. And the dragon on top just rounds out the whole card in such a nice way. Or at least that is how I feel about it, other people probably don't care that much.

I wanted to create my own custom LoR expansion, but the LoR Card Maker is very "meh" on what you can do with it (although it's still better than the other web alternatives).
This is a super fun competition! Created five so far and may continue as there are a ton of Boss encounters I wish were in the game (mainly as Portraits but cards would have been awesome as well.
Ideas behind the creations:
Craggtor - The Monster Hunt version of him is all about big minions and reduction so just kinda carried over that idea but gave it a Druid twist with the choose one. I see this as something that could go in combo, ramp and quest. This can either act as a more expensive Thaurissan for minions if you have drawn the combo pieces or you can get a bigger discount for a later turn.
Wildtooth - The Tombs of Terror version just destroys the lowest Health minion. I thought the idea of making a Rush minion that got bigger off feeding of small minions was a neat twist on the idea. With the wording from the adventure, this can target friendly minions as well so it would require the player to make some trades if they are wanting to target a specific minion. Thought about adding that but wanted to change it up to being a more positive for the player since the stats were weak. It does have the ability of being a crazy Rotnest Drake with only one minion on the board but felt the stats were low enough and the off chance this arises.
Kriziki - The idea behind this Battlecry is the special card that Kriziki has in Galakrond's Awakening. The wording of the spell is just returning the cards to their hands but thought making it more in line with something I could see a Priest actually having with the thief aspect. Want that Prime minion on your opponents' board? Want the ability to fill your opponents hand with Highlander cards for their non-Highlander deck? This card accomplishes that feat!
Jolene - The Tomb of Terror version has this encounter be with a Warlock base deck but the power screamed Rogue to me. Having the ability to Discover is stronger than getting a random spell like in the adventure so I made the reduction part a combo for the card and not in the Battlecry.
Magic Mirror - Love the idea of dual effects and this is the Yogg like idea I have had for some time and Magic Mirror is the perfect minion for this ability. Not sure the wording is correct (sure someone can help me out if this isn't right if this is considered the best option of my lot) but thought the card just needed to be made with this prompt.
Lord Marrowgar is solid, maybe not the flashiest, but still good. Rikkar, the Pretender seems too hard to build around, as it requires a lot for it get it working. You need to run both the spirits and the loa in your deck. I'm not sure that's enough payoff.
Lyris the Wild Mage - I'm pretty sure I've voted on this card in a earlier competition and it didn't end up doing all that well.
Manhunter Ivan - Interesting payoff for playing secrets. I'm not sure what happens with some secrets, such as Misdirection, and Pack Tactics, that depend on the minion that triggered it.
The Slipstream - Functional, but not very exciting to me.
I like the middle wording the best, as it needs to be clear that Julianne dies too if Romulo dies without reading the token. I like the statline of the first one the best.
Sazin - If you swap Sazin with another minion and you swap it back, it now has two deathrattles? Not sure what to make of this.
Zaraam - I think this should help you instead of hurting your opponent. Other than that, I like it.
Glack the Scropid - I think that this should have poisonous. It is a scorpion after all, and it would require to many hoops to jump through if it didn't.
I like the abilities and how they synergize with one another. I'm not sure how powerful this is. On one hand, if the battlecry destroys the minion, it's like a discard for your opponent. If it survives, your opponent can get a big advantage out of it. I would not have gotten the Satyr Overseer reference if you didn't point it out.
I would go with Kizi Copperflip or The Scarecrow. I think they are flavorful and that the cards play well. I think the other cards could lead to unfun situations for your opponent.
Maybe? Personally I have huge FOMO, so I've always been reluctant to spend common/rare wildcards right before Tuesday or a big region reward chest, but I really appreciate the logic behind your argument here.
I would say ultimately, it probably doesn't matter too much. E.g. say "hypothetically" you were sitting on 161 common wildcards. Scenario A: you convert them all just to fill out your collection; Scenario B: you do never use them. After a long enough time period, Scenario B would get exactly those 161 commons for free whereas Scenario A converts them to 15 shards/ea; any duplicates after those 161 would generate the same 15 shards/ea to both. That means the total difference between the two scenarios is 2,415 shards i.e. 80% of a single champion craft. And of course that's contingent on receiving an additional 161 non-wildcard commons of exactly the type you crafted; if they aligned perfect that could be ~5 weeks but in practice it will look more like an exponential decay graph where Scenario A nets fewer and fewer additional shards over Scenario B each week--probably months before even hitting the 2,000 mark.
I forget the refund rate for rares, but I imagine its not too much better. I interpret this all to mean that I shouldn't our hypothetical friend shouldn't feel at all reluctant to spend common and rare wildcards on any cards he actually intends to play, but spending them just to spend them only has a minimal strategic shard advantage and that you definitely want to have some in reserve by the time the next expansion is released.

Expeditions are hard to win and one unrecorded win can make you lose the whole thing. Is there anything i can do?https://imgur.com/nj4aNTt
As far as I can tell, there's no real downside to getting a full collection as fast as possible, so the plan to spend wildcards, finish out rarity levels, and rack up shards makes a lot of sense to me. In fact, I was just doing this with common wildcards today, and found myself very annoyed that there doesn't appear to be an easy way to view "missing cards" (that is, exclusively cards of which you have fewer than three - so a bit more advanced than the "show unowned" button).
You could maybe argue that hording wildcards is better because it means you have more resources to craft when the next expansion drops, but you'll get more wildcards before then anyway, especially for the low rarity cards.
Forgot to make Marrowgar a Legendary, not sure anyone noticed :p
I've also had another idea, but I don't think it's eligible, since Rikkar (the guy you play as in Rumble Run) isn't technically a boss. Still, I want to share it:
Feedback (going in reverse order just 'cuz):
Show Spoiler
Hordaki: Lyris is dangerous. It can get really crazy in cyclone mage in wild. Not sure I like this card.
Ivan is a cool concept, but it can get pretty crazy too. I'd make it a 4/4.
The Slipstream seems the most balanced, though it would fit Warrior better it would deal damage to all minions.
Shivershine: What is the treasure? If it's the Marin ones, it seems to powercreet Heistbaron Tog. If it's the ones from the single player content, NO! Those cards are busted an not in constructed for a reason.
Wailor: Hmm, this one's though. For statline, I'd say vanilla stats work fine, no matter the cost. As for wording, probably something like "Battlecry: Summon a 4/3 (or whatever statline) Romulo. When one dies, they both die." Careful with silence effects one those.
MenacingBagel: Way too disruptive. If your opponent has a full board, and you have nothing, playing this could completely turn the table in your favour in an unfair way. Unless they don't swap sides, in which case it's pretty useless, since position is pretty irrelevant in HS. In that case, make it's cost (3).
Neoguli: Sazin is pretty broken. As long as you keep a minion in hand, you have an infinite train unless your opponent has silence.
Zaraam I actually like quite a bit, though I'd change the wording should be "theirs costs (1) more." It should also probably not cost more than (10), so you don't completely brick their win condition.
Glack is pretty powerful, though you won't get more than one or two triggers from him. Still, the reward is way too powerful, I'd tone it down a bit. It should also not be a card from a later expansion than itself.
Man, I now realised I'm at a pretty big disadvantage. I haven't played single player since RoS, and even until then very little, so I don't really know the bosses.
Problem is that both your decks (dragon hunter and galakrond rogue) got hit quite hard by the nerfs. The latter especially. For rogue you're probably better off switching the secret package for the stealth package like most players have been doing (it's considerably cheaper too). As for hunter, if you can afford to go highlander it's far more effective than the dragon variant and extremely versatile.
Interesting idea, i suppose since you cant manually disenchant cards, using wild cards to get a full collection and then collecting shards from duplicates does make sense. It will be just a portion of the card's cost in shards, not full value, but better than nothing, if you have no other use for those wild cards.
In honor of his buff in the upcoming patch, I thought I'd share what I think is the best Vlad deck. Note that it is an evergreen deck with no Rising Tides cards--not by intention, but because I honestly don't like any of the new cards in this decklist.
Cards I considered but ultimately cut:
Ember Maiden has some potential, but I don't like the downsides: you can't stop it, it hurts your own nexus, it triggers opposing Crimson Disciples, and it usually only lives 1.5 rounds.
Kindly Tavernkeeper is popular in other decks but I just hate the slow speed and meager effect. Even with the upcoming attack buff, I think he's just too underwhelming
Mogwai loves Noxian Fervor in this archetype. For me, I just really hate dealing 3 to my own units here: it usually means the unit will die, and this deck succeeds or fails based on maintaining board presence.
An earlier version of this decklist ran Noxian Guillotine. While its definitely an underrated card in general, I think this deck needs units and buffs a lot more than it needs a conditional removal spell.
I played a little with Stalking Wolf: it often can kill its own rabbit for free progression, and a 3-attack challenger threatens many key backline units. Ultimately I cut it because I didn't like its lineup against P&Z/Noxus burn, but that may no longer be a factor
I'd love to incorporate Avarosan Hearthguard--everything in this deck really loves buffs--but its just too greed. The current 4-6 drops all have more immediate impact due to synergies and the 1-3 drops and buffs are necessary to contest early game.
Cards currently in which I could reconsider:
Starlit Seer is in mostly to provide a couple more 2-drops in case we miss Crimson Disciple. This was necessary with the prevalence of Noxus/P&Z decks; if aggro's popularity goes down, I could see cutting it.
I have a 1-of Bloodsworn Pledge carried over from my original list. There are times when it wins me the game--e.g., land it on a regenerating unit, or a disciple which my opponent assumed was going to die. Other times, it just feels like worse version of Take Heart. As a result, I don't feel strongly for or against it.
Babbling Bjerg is a similar carried-over 1-of. He tutors the Vlad, which means you can either play Vlad on board (which is usually a good thing) or if you have an existing Vlad he's a Transfusion (which is always a great thing). In practice, though, he feels slow: there's almost something more interesting I'd rather do with my mana.

How to approach the wildcard/shards hoarding in the long term

Stuck at Diamond 5. Like, really stuck.
How to approach the wildcard/shards hoarding in the long term
Interesting idea, i suppose since you cant manually disenchant cards, using wild cards to get a full collection and then collecting shards from duplicates does make sense. It will be just a portion of the card's cost in shards, not full value, but better than nothing, if you have no other use for those wild cards.
Dragoon Custom Class
There is definitely HOMAM3 music in there, right?:D
Vladimir + Braum Battle Scars
In honor of his buff in the upcoming patch, I thought I'd share what I think is the best Vlad deck. Note that it is an evergreen deck with no Rising Tides cards--not by intention, but because I honestly don't like any of the new cards in this decklist.
