  • Zephrys: the great fails

    Pro

Sorry for the necro but can someone tell me what I'm missing here?

I was specifically looking for Brawl and while Holy Nova at least makes a bit of sense, the other two just seem weird. I guess I would have lost anyway but who knows if Alex wouldn't have sent me some heal. As it stood, my opponent used the remaining 4 attack on board plus Soulfire to finish me next turn.

  • 5 Great Decks Hearthstone's Pros Have Been Playing Since This Week's Patch

Well playing a war golem and expecting to live a turn is quite steep, specially when your tempo tools aren't that great and then you are restricting your deck for a "0 mana 4/2" I say it's definetly not worth when Pyro is that good with 2/3 of your librams, also good with hand of a'dar to deal 1 aoe damage.

Ugggghhhh I was one win away from Wild legend only to lose to a Secret Mage, a deck I had been massacring up to that point. Close fight too; I got my opponent down to 3 health but I just ran out of steam, and if only I got my 1-drops early on and didn't draw badly, I would've won. Now I've lost two straight and I need to regroup and recover. So close!

  • Vi Rework Idea

If you were to re-work her in this way, she would have to have some second ability to add fleeting cards to your hand. Every champion in the game right now either has some ability to help level them up, or at least some synergy with their level up requirement.

I understand that she has to strike for 10 damage to level up, and she has an ability that gives her attack, so technically that counts. But it still feels weird having a champion that wants you to do this unique thing and doesn't help you along the way.

  • Favorite champions not yet in the game?

    Zilean and his spells:

Maybe Zilean leveled up version should be a 2/4 instead of 1/5, on one side you should be able to easily generate time bombs on the other side not too many.

  • Vi Rework Idea

My rework of Vi would be to change her text to "I have +2|+0 for each Fleeting card you've played this game (max +8|+0)."

This would make her good in a deck built specifically around her, while making her weak without support cards. There would still be many ways to use her, such as with Bilgewater or Ionia or cards like Mechanist Zevi, but she could no longer be slotted into decks like Bannerman or Corina control that use her a just a big challenger unit.

  • Balance Patch Predictions?

Good ideas! The only things that I think could be different is that I think Unyielding Spirit might become Fast (so there’s more counterplay) and Loyal Badgerbear will probably either not be nerfed or gain some kind of text to make up for it losing stats (like it could be a 3 Mana 3/4 with “I have +1|+0 while you have a Demacian Ally”).

In terms of my ideal changes, I would also like Vi to be changed to be a little more synergistic, like maybe “Whenever you play a card that didn’t start in your deck or has Fleeting, grant me +1|+0 wherever I am.” This would make her good in something like a shuffle deck, a fleeting deck, or a Pursuit of Perfection deck, instead of making her amazing in every deck.

  • Popular Decks From The Rising Tides Expansion

Thanks, Neon!  This is just what I needed for the 3-day weekend: some fun off-meta decks to play around with!

    Quote From linkblade91

I want to play the MF + Quinn deck, and maybe the Swain + Sejuani deck. Of those 12 cards though, I only own two Sejuanis DX Too many things I want to craft, and while I could probably get away with doing so, that would take everything I own, shards and wildcards.

Don't feel like you need to field 3x of each champion to enjoy the decklist.  I've had some fair success building decks with just 2x: obviously they aren't as consistent, but in ~50% of games you probably wouldn't even draw that third copy anyways.  Plus, I think the Level 23 champion capsule from region rewards is guaranteed to always give you champions from Rising Tides, so you might be able to get to 2x copies with a single wildcard and bit of XP grinding.

They're cool.  Not really my thing, but I do really appreciate all the synergies they created.

23rd May update: Dane's WILD Bone Roller Rogue, ft. Anka, the Buried & Roll the Bones! (1080p)

Dane is genius. This deck beat 3 Reno Priests. I love it.
Roll the Bones + Anka + Umbra = deathrattle shenanigans

I think it is viable for climbing the ladder - but you need to get lucky, more so than with a more consistent deck. So the climb will be slower. Is it tier 1? No. Is it fun and rewarding? Yes! Drawing Anka at the right time seems to be crucial.

To have more than 12, you need to draw Valdris Felgorge first and then still have to play this minion and use the hero power 10 times while having to empty your hand and play all cards in it.  In the standard meta even against something slow like resurrect priest it is not certain the warlock can survive for 10 turns.  In wild, I think Mechathun warlock is too one dimensional and this would fit more in a control tool like Renolock.  Renolock is currently weaker than Reno Priest and Mage as it is the only one without a good finisher, and I was envisioning this card in Renolock as a potential finisher that can be strong but not oppressive.  Compared to Rin, the First Disciple which often destroys only a few cards in their deck by the time you activate its condition, this will let Renolock have a way to win in the end of the game.  It's definitely hard to predict exactly how good this card would be but I think for autowin cards like this it's better to have them weaker so they don't turn into Mechathun decks which have very linear playstyles.

  • By Your Powers Combined - Card Design Competition Discussion Thread

@Swizard, nice idea in theory, but you also need to remember Warlock now has Control Heavy clears, 12 Hand max Holds and Wild can easily hero power combo into an OTK. It seems weak in general, but atm in Standard where Warlock can hold more than 10 and still have ton of clears in hand (especially with Dark Skies) I think it's too strong. Maybe "If your hand is almost full, destroy the enemy hero." Clarifying "Almost" seems simple enough to new players seeing a full hand means you can't draw. So if you're almost full, you probably can only draw 1 more card.

  • Libram Quest Exodia 2.0

This is a VERY interesting twist to the archetype. Kudos! By relying on the coins and a 0-mana libram, you don't need Thaurissan. On the other hand you still depend on drawing the extra coins from adventurers and casting both attendants for the 0-libram... Might be too slow against Quest Mage and Mechathun Lock kills you consistently at 8 so.. There's that.

My version might be a little faster but I'll have to test yours to see. I use Call to Arms to thin the deck, bringing loot hoarders, doomsayers, Thalnos, Pyro, Kangor, lots of AoEs for the creature-heavy decks, bananas and a Humiliation for the 1-mana spells and Thaurissan to reduce them to 0. Also a Shirvallah as the nail in the coffin against aggro. In a lucky day I complete the combo at 10. It's really fun but doesn't use any new cards (decklist in my profile)

  • Weekend Wild Hearthstone Decks - Exodia Paladin, Deathrattle Rogue, Mech Mage & More

it costs a lot so I imagine it would be hard to play it, and it also isn't a deathrattle card so it would stop roll the bones.
