Thank you for the feedback, anchorm4n and linkblade. I think I am going to go for the 6 mana 5/5 which adapts and then takes the HP from the result. My heart was telling me that was the most interesting and elegant solution, so I hope everyone else sees it that way!
A minion who helps setting traps is Professor Putricide but I don't see who his sibling might be or where a groom comes in. In a wider way of thinking about traps, Mok'Nathal Lion could be meant, possible brothers being Savannah Highmane and King of Beasts. Since the riddle indicates the card is rarely used and it fits the "groom" part better, I'll go with King of Beasts.
(Side note: maybe we're overthinking it and the groom is Stablemaster. Who could be her brother?)
I was playing the Dalaran heist on my IPad, and then I played Ethereal Conjurer and my game crashed instantly. I have tried getting back in to the game, but the game tries to resume the match from the heist and then instantly crashes every time. I don’t know if this only happens on IOS or on other platforms.
It seems to me that runeterra is going the hearthstone route, bit by bit. It's like they can't come up with something balanced and always need to push certain OP things.
I'm glad i didn't play much because i'd probably get mad for the wasted time. I'm also sad that no one is able to come up with some truly balanced game and realize that you can't ever please everyone.
I disagree, I think they (Riot) are just not afraid to try different things, whether they're going to be op or not. Because they're willing to make balance changes every month this is also relatively safe for them to do. When releasing new cards you can't always play it safe because then there's the chance that very little of the new cards will be played, like what happened when TGT was released for Hearthstone.

Which is just another example for our need of a preview / confirmation page or the ability to delete and repost once a week.
I had a quick look and checked how many entries could have been saved if we had this. The best way to measure the problem are probably the DQs, which we've had 28 of so far, resulting in an average of just above 2 per week (please note that there were 10 DQs in week 2 because of missing watermarks). Please keep in mind that the real number is probably higher because I'm not able to track down errors that didn't lead to a DQ like major spelling issues, submitting already used art or something along those lines. I've heard there even are people who submitted the wrong card.
Back to topic.
@Incospicuosaurus: The basic version is good, but maybe you could find a way to avoid the orphan in the last line of text. Personally, I find the third alternative in the spoiler more interesting. To adapt Rexus first and then transfer the choice to the Hero Power is a very elegant solution. The other two look a bit clunky next to this. If I were in your shoes, I'd probably submit the more creative version.
@Nirast: I prefer the Mage Hero Power that deals 4 damage every third turn. I haven't seen anyone putting "dormant" on a Hero Power, so you'd net some extra points for creativity from me. The effect is strong, but not OP imo.
Blizzard's form is correct. It's not past tense, it's a present tense condition referring to something in the past. I can have made a grammar mistake in a previous sentence, but I can't cast the spell unless I make a grammar mistake in a previous sentence (for example).
I don't think the card is broken but in some matchups it can seem unfair. If they are to nerf the card they should make it fast instead of burst, so all factions has a chance to respond to it.
Aaaaand I'm disqualified because I forgot to post in the three hero powers cuz I don't know how this be working, so, well, good luck to the others competing.
Since I'm disqualified might as well just post my cards here, basically the same as my last post but with Demon's suggestion taken in:
Thijs posted a video a couple days ago of a non-pure Libram Paladin that's pretty good. I've played a couple days of it now and it's decent! I haven't calculated win rates but I would guess it's slightly over 50%. And fun, but who plays this game for the *fun*?

Alright, third try for this since Fireblast Rank 2 is uh, forboden. I end up just statting her up more and making the Hero Power do more, or at least one number it up. Is this still good/elegant enough?
Yeah, this looks good. That said, I feel like Insight is just much stronger than the others. I feel like it instead could be something like "Draw a card. It costs 2 less"
It's literally a 1 mana 1/1 if you don't have it as an Outcast. That's just horrendous. In case of a Torrent card, it says 'if you cast a spell' as if you're doing it right now in the present (this turn) instead of 'if you've cast a spell' which would then correctly refer to the previous turn (past).
Its not like hunters are invincible. Most decks have a decent chance against dragon and highlander hunter.
As pointed out, the difference in win rate is a mere 2%. And the matchup is fairly predictable. They are fairly at the mercy of their draws, and even a semi-decent amount of healing throws them off. If you're really triggered by hunters, just play weapon destruction (which you would anyway because of dhunters), and an odd Dragonmaw Poacher and you more or less solved the dragon hunter riddle.
Wouldn't mind if they did this once a year. Its a nice simple way to involve to community and let them see the hard work that goes into the card back, and create some hype for upcoming seasons. It's really cool seeing the behind the scenes and watching the artists process. This is a fantastic card back, and I can't wait to add this to my collection!

I wish I knew - Valve hasn't specifically commented on it to my knowledge. Surely though, they must be going F2P and giving everyone who bought the game previously something as compensation (maybe even a refund). I can't see this game having a decent audience if it remains a buy-in that also requires grinding to get the cards.
UPD: Also to anyone saying burst effect for 8 mana is for the late game, I disagree. It cant be a late game effect, if you play it on turn 5, on the minion you stuck on the board previous turn. You usually play some power heros on turn 5 or later even and BOOM. Deal with it the turn before it. So yeah, nice effect.
It requires a big enough unit alive to be worth the effect, 3 spell mana stored on T4 and an T5 without playing anything to pull that off. When someone plays it on T5, i wonder what his opponent was doing all this time since he had to pass at least 3 turns out of 5: (1 turn)- to play a unit he can't trade; (1 turn)- to store mana; (1 turn)- to cast the spell.
That being said, this card has an awkward design as it is too costly/situational for high level games so it hardly will see play there, but its too annoying/lacks counterplay for casual/slow games.
Like i said in my previous post, i have no idea why they even printed this card outside of testing the concept.
I hope the game play satisfies your Baku Shaman desires. If this deck doesn't quite cut it, a less dragon-oriented version is showcased in this video by Roffle. It might even give you new ideas I didn't think of!

The Latest Hearthstone Nerfs and Buffs Are Here! Our Thoughts on the Card Changes
Well, Novice Engineer costs 2 mana with pretty much the same effect and sees play here and there.
Demon Hunter is a whole class around cards positioning in your hand and Outcast, which means you'll get the bonus more often then not.
So, is 1 mana draw 1 not good? Yes it is, no question about it. Is 1 mana draw 1 on a stick good? Well damn yes it is.
Plus, on the Torrent side: cast's past simple is both "cast" and "casted".

card ideas
It would be cool to get some new Keywords. Some ideas I think would be interesting:
Immunity: This card cannot gain status effects (Frostbite, Vulnerable, Stun)
Swarm: +1 Attack for each other swarm unit in play
Titanic: This card can be blocked by more than one unit. It cannot be blocked by only one unit.
