I bought it because I'm a sucker for Golden Cards. And I finally got the second Golden Bane of Doom that I've been hankering after for some time. Now I have twice the chance of popping a Golden Mal'Ganis from a 1 Drop! 😊

• The only card that I earnestly hate is Commander Ledros--I hate losing to him, and I hate winning with him.  Specifically: I hate that he has the combination of his Play skill, Fearsome tag, 9 attack, and that damned last whisper that returns him to hand.  I'm not even saying that he's overpowered, I'm just saying that that much value and tempo coming from a single card with no other synergies or situational dependencies makes me feel extremely uncomfortable.

These are pretty much my thoughts as well. I'd add to it that I especially hate ledros because he punishes the opponent for trying to not lose (which is basically the win condition of control decks). Anything from blocking attackers to healing your nexus is punished by him and that feels really bad to play against in my opinion.

There is no guarantee for a legendary in the fist 10 packs.  Blizzard made special rules when they announced the first golden packs.

I openend 12 classic golden card packs (including the new offer)  since the twitch promo and got no legendary until now.  

I was thinking to go with something like this. Any suggestions how to make the wording better with Varoth? It is correctly written but sounds clunky and the 4 line limit is crossed if anything else is added. Also is this idea even worth using or is it simply too boring?

LOL can you imagine if the game literally couldn't ever give you a duplicate?  That would mean after ~15 packs from a particular expansion, you'd have all ~50 commons and then the game would have to resort to giving you only better cards (at which point you'd soon be collecting epics and legendaries exclusively), or you would just be opening packs with a single (if any) card in them.

I don't know how they are happy creating these cards that steal your resources, but there is nothing like mana burning things.

It was considered overpowered back in the day and got hit by the nerf hammer. I don't see it played as a single region a lot, but I think it is the second most popular secondary region after Ionia. Those removal spells are really good.

I'm not a Legend player, but does it bother you folks that they suddenly kick back on a pure MMR system once you break legend?  I always thought a cool part of legend was that you could then "play your way" and tank your rank to meme it up in the 1000s without hurting next season's rank.

This is all based around the premise that even those with a 10x Star Bonus lose it by the time they reach Diamond 5, which I can't confirm personally...

From the Blizzard FAQ:

Q: How does matchmaking work for each season?

A: There are two matchmaking pools: matchmaking by rating (aka. MMR) and by rank.

When your star bonus multiplier is bigger than 1, or you are in Legend rank, you are (generally) in the first matchmaking pool; when your star bonus drops to 1, you are in the second pool.

No golden leg, just a pyroblast and a bunch of rares/commons. Either my counting is out and I'm really unlucky, or it doesn't work.

Your visible Rank has nothing to do with you matchmaking since the mmr is not based on your Rank. Think of it as if everyone is a legendplayer, but  the number is covered by a Ranksymbol that gets reset every Month while your legendnumber doesn't.

No, they made you not to see your opponents rank, because it often can would frustrate you seeying that you as gold/platinum player are ranked toward top diamond/legend players. So if you are good, you will battle top players even if your rank is low.

btw i am convinced there is some bug in the mismatch: after several games either i fight against Legend players with ranking similar to me or Diamond 9/10 or even Platinum 1/2 ... this doesn't make any sense ... now low Diamonds...

Amazeballs, I'm trying to get a full golden classic collection now and this will speed things up!

Golden Nozdormu ... Not sure I'll ever use that ...

I'll keep it for now as I don't have it but I'm sure that will be dust soon for a more useful card.

No, it does not. If you disenchant a card it still is marked as "owned", so the replacement card will be random.

It is 2.5 USD per golden pack. Good value compared to 1.5 USD per regular pack, if you like golden cards
