Oh my lord. I don't know why there aren't any comments here about this card, but somebody needs to say it. To this day I will refuse to understand how this card saw print in its current state given how morally abhorrent and fundamentally terrible the concept behind this card is. This card blows chunks, guys, and it needs to be mentioned.
The question we must ask ourselves is where does this card fit? That's an important thing to consider when designing a card, what kind of existing strategy will this card fit into, or what kind of new strategy might be birthed from this card? The original Webspinner saw play in midrange/aggro Hunters, so maybe that was the idea. But 6 mana for 3/3 in stats would never see play in an aggro deck + random beasts are kind of worthless. Does this see play in a control deck? But 6 mana for 3/3 in stats would never see play in a control deck + random beasts are worthless. Does this see play in a combo deck? But 6 mana for 3/3 in stats would never see play in a combo deck + random beasts are worthless.
This card is the pits. What a waste of digital cardboard.
Weekly Vault (randomly picked at L5-L9, wildcard at L10+)
Region Rewards (random from that region at L8 and L16; L18 will be a wildcard; L23 will be the new expansion's for that region)
Spend 1 champion wildcard to craft a champion of your choice
Spend 3000 shards to craft a champion of your choice
Spend 300 coins (roughly $3 USD) to craft a champion of your choice
If you log in every day for your first week (no matches necessary), you'll get 1 free random champion and 2 free Ashe
They've done a couple Twitch Prime rewards where you get 1 free wildcard of each caliber (including champion) just for linking your account
On very rare occasion: a card from a vault or regional reward will be upgraded to a random champion. It's happened to me 3-4 times so far.
As iWatchUSleep suggests, running each region to L8, then jumping to a new region and running it to L8, etc will get new players the most champions the quickest--especially now with the bonus XP system (although bonus XP only applies to the original 6 regions, not Bilgewater). Try to get to L10+ on the weekly vault--it shouldn't be that hard if you complete 7 quests and redeem your free expedition token each week. Finally: don't be ashamed to run a deck with 2x champions instead of the prescribed 3x: obviously it won't be as good, but often it's good enough. You can use either a card-drawing card or another champion who is just inherently "good" (e.g., Elise, Garen, Zed, etc) to fill the hole.
The problem with these wildcards, is I have pretty low tier champion, and want to save my wildcards for high tier champions. But I keep getting wildcards instead of champion
The alternative is getting a random Champion, which may well be a low tier Champion as well. Saving your wildcards isn't doing you any favors - just craft some high tier champions. It's better to craft what you want and run fewer than 3 of any given champion than to try to run a deck that requires a specific champion and doesn't have it.
i must say i was intriuged by how many millhouse submitions there were and how none of them went into the finals
Millhouse submissions were in a weird spot for me - if they were just a good card, I didn't think they represented Millhouse that well, and if they were a card that could backfire on you... then it could backfire on you, and that isn't fun.
Some 'restrictions' put on them also either made the card way too bad or way too good, from what I remember. I think there was one which was just a 2 mana 4/4 so long as you didn't play any spells without killing it off first, which is just a really good card for something like a Big Spell Mage.
Another thing that kind of killed the Millhouse cards for me was how many of them used the same art. I know that's not entirely at fault of the creators, art was a challenge with this one. But seeing so much of the exact same art just made all of those ones blend together in my mind.

I didn't know that some people took grammar seriously in the competition, but thanks everyone for critiquing me on grammar. so from now on I will put grammar to the utmost importance in my card designs
Grammar and formatting mistakes fall under the same wheel-house as the watermark, for me at least. It all comes down to how "real" your card appears to be: could/would Blizzard print something like this? Blizzard cares about their watermark continuity and making sure their cards are 100% perfect, so you should too. It's the sign of a polished product, and I personally do take it seriously.
Pretty much what Linky said.
I can totally understand just wanting to make a fun card and thats it. Or if English isnt someone's first language, it can be challenging to come up with proper wording or not make grammar mistakes. Dont be affraid to ask for proofread in the discussion thread, folks will gladly help you or suggest a better wording based on existing cards.
We are making cards that could pass as real cards, at least as WCDC is concerned, so having wrong watermark, bad grammar or phrasing of the effect, even just having used "health" instead of "Health" takes away from the quality of the card and it is often reflected in the votes. I hope these things will not deter you from submitting again but rather push you to make your cards even better, as we all strive to do :) Good luck next time!
Highlander Hunter has been competitive in every meta since SoU. I think it's a safe craft at this point. I might just be biased since it has been my go-to deck since then.
I've been having a lot of fun and success with Monsanto's Galakrond Evolve Shaman. I've been able to recover well from Aggo's hit to the face and out last a lot of Control decks. I did put in a hoard pirate to get the [Hearthstone Card (bogspine knuckles) Not Found] back for more evolve fun, but other than that I'm running pretty much what he is.
As for Lackey Warlock, I have a similar build but I love using Grand Lackey. I keep him in my hand with a lackey until later plays simply because there is so much removal abound and dropping him and filling you board with 4/4 lackeys and possibly more stuff in your hand has won me plenty of games.
I changed to Highlander Mage for the last week, I was playing highlander priest but I got a bit tired of it. Playing random spells with the Reno hero power or with Yogg's boxes have me entertain with this mage deck.
I'm exclusively playing my own variant of Quest Warrior on my road to legend. I started at Platinum 5-2 after coming in on a win streak. I'm 18-12 so far - exactly 60%, BUT 13-7 - 65% in my last 20 games. It's a hard deck to pilot. Tough decisions on what to play or hold on many turns, as well as attack and play order.
The toughest match-ups are Demon Hunter and Rogue, the best classes anyway because of their insane draw engines. But it has the tools to outlast both extreme aggro and extreme value. It takes down all Priest variants very well, and easily outlasts the other Warrior variants. It does very well against Face Hunter and Zoolock, but does struggle against those classes' Highlander variants depending on the draw.
Now at Platinum 2. Hench-clan Thug is performing admirably. When you need to just jam a 3-drop on curve without attacking, he feels way better than Satyr Overseer.
I was just wondering if anyone has been playing around with Dragon + Murloc menagerie builds this season and would be willing to share their deck.
I had a Play 3 Rogue games quest today and decided to build around Candle Breath and Skyfin. It was actually a lot of fun, but my list felt pretty clunky. So I was wondering if anyone here had a build that they've been optimizing for a bit that I could try out? (not looking for a competitive deck)
My initial list was this (murlocs early and dragons late) and I only played 3 games against other memers so I didn't get a feel for what was weak/what worked (although drawing a murloc late felt really bad, as is tradition):
I've been playing quite a bit of Galakrond Priest and have refined my list based on experience:
-2 Thoughtsteal
-1 Vulpera Scoundrel
-1 Fate Weaver
+1 Forbidden Words - Flexible card that always comes in handy. Prefer this over Thoughtsteal as it's one very useful card over two unknowns.
+1 Madame Lazul - Prefer this over Thoughtsteal. For 1 more mana I get one less card but I get a 3/2 body, intel, and some choice.
+1 Mindflayer Khaarj - An underrated card I feel. Prefer this over Vulpera. It's almost always at least solid value. Often tremendous value as you can spend 5 mana to play this with SW:D, kill a guy, and get a 6/4, 5/5, etc. off the deathrattle. Vulpera is great and it's close, but I love the swings he provides. This is a recent change so I'm not completely sure.
+1 Sandhoof Waterbearer - Has enabled me to turn the corner many times against DH and Hunter. A must have against them. Prefer this over Fate Weaver. I don't think this deck needs discounting enough to merit two Fate Weavers.
I wish they gave you more champions when you first started playing.
There are a ton of cool decks I want to try but I simply cannot build them because I don't have the champions. Champions are essential to deck-building, if I am missing a champion for a deck, I simply can't build it. Period. It would be nice if they gave you more champion wild cards in the beginning or at least more random champions.
Wow, that was a cool riddle! I like your constant flow of new ideas. Give me some time to think of something, I'll try to post the next riddle tonight or early tomorrow within the next 5 to 18 hours.
Would also love to see another puzzle based adventure, a la the boomsday project. Really enjoyed that concept, and still feel it has loads of potential.
Oh, yes, I enjoyed playing that as well, as it was something new and fresh for hs. The problem, I think, with it was the lack of replayability - I mean, once you figured out (or copied) the solution for the puzzles, you didn't really come back and want to redo the encounters. You knew the answers already, so nothing could surprise or excite you anymore. That said, I would warmly welcome another puzzle based adventure too and admire the creativity of the devs.
