Is again yet another overpowered thing in this game... 20 health on Nexus isn't enough to stop an onslaught despite good spell-play where your spells cost 3 or more and they get constant units battering you. When they change their hand into decimate cards you could lose just by decimate ALONE but with overpower you're not walking the tight-rope you're literally already falling & gasping with the most forceful of lung inhalations to suck the rasor-thin wire back into your mouth before you either impact the ground at full speed or barely get hold of the wire before it rips you a new one!
3 days of relatively good games then 2 or 3 days of constant overpowered garbage that apparently has been around 3 months or more. I can't believe it needs to be reiterated, but if you need to win early to WIN. Then it's not a balanced game.
This is the first time I am trying to make a custom card. Is it balanced/makes sense?
Welcome Swizard! Always great to see new faces!
For your first time making a customer card, this is a good first effort! I have to agree with linkblade about it being a little strange a rogue card. Corrupt has only been seen in Warlock, but this is a decent job moving that effect to the Rogue class.
I'm a stickler for format and grammatical errors. Just curious, are there extra spaces around "Corrupt it"? The spaces around those two words feels large to me. I don't know if that was you, or the Hearthstone card generator.
You will want to have the text "When drawn, they have one turn to play it" in italics. Look at cards like Zul'jin or Burgle as examples. Text in parentheses is always in italics. Something like this:
Corrupt it. (When drawn, they have one turn to play it!)
I made it to Diamond 10 with Secret Highlander Hunter, finished my run going 9-1 today. Overall I went 17-4 using the deck. Feasted on Priest + Rogue going 10-0.
In total my Platinum run was 23-6. I also finished off my 500 wins & now rocking Golden Rexxar!!!
While I do think Deep needs to be tuned for expeditions specifically (something like +2/2 instead of +3/3 as it is for constructed)...
I also think Deep is a bit of a double edged sword.
Literally just won versus a guy with a Nautilus/Twisted Fate deck and a ton of sea monsters. I ended up winning cause I had enough tokens (thank god I drafted 3 house spiders) to block his guys and smartly managed to stay alive while he drew and tossed his deck. Long story short, first time I ever won an expedition to fatigue on my opponent's deck. :D
Also, word of advice Brash Gambler and Pool Shark can screw you over, so unless your deck curve is VERY low, I would advice against using these wantonly. Also Veteran Investigator also seems like a bad expedition card. You never want to give your opponent extra card draw.
Man, I hate playing against Tempo DH. The class has so many BS minions and strong synergies, that I don't know where to begin with.
I play Quest Ress Priest and, yes, this is a slow deck, but whenever I try to play the most optimal way possible against DHs, I get fucked by either Kayn or Priestess of Fury, in some cases even by Altruis in combination with Skull of Gul'Dan. And at the end, I feel like my decisions don't really matter, because I always fall in the same checkmate position. Like, if the opponent has a wide board and I decide to play taunts, I risk getting killed by Kayn. And if I do decide to play around that and clear the board, the opponent can just play Priestess of Fury and push even more face damage, which would lead to the previous scenario. I swear, I have seen consistent decks before, but Tempo DH is on a whole new level.
This is the first time I am trying to make a custom card. Is it balanced/makes sense?
First of all: welcome to the website! And double-welcome to our side of things :D It's cool to see new faces.
Second: the card makes sense, but it is an odd duck in-that I don't know why it's a Rogue card; "Corrupting" has always been a Warlock thing. Other than that, it's a much better Recycle but Recycle is both old and bad, so maybe it's okay. Not a bad first effort at all!
I took the critique from Xarkkal and anchorm4n into consideration and created this version of Gogmadar.
I definitely want to keep thepart with can't be discarded since I kinda want a lategame oriented win condition for discard WL. Sure, it is a powerful effect, but so are many other cards for 10 mana. I would definitely submit this, but I will wait one or two days before doing so to receive more feedback.
Congratulations to the OP! I got legend for the first time this month - I think most of the credit needs to go to the new system, ranking up to diamond 5 with the multiplier felt easier than the ladder of old. I bounced about a bit from 3-1, before finally breaking through with control Galakrond warlock (pre-nerf) because all I was facing at that point were demon hunters :).
Congratulations to you! I hit legend myself for the first time earlier this month and can confirm that jumping around did occur (not so much screaming, as kids were asleep). My wife thought I was a little crazy, but I didn't care.
Playing against Swain who just upgraded and stunned my max unit. I still have 4 other units, one of which got stunned with the 1-cost spell. then none of my other three heroes was allowed to block the swain plus ferocious enemy (I had a 5-5 Tough Demacian Cavalry for ferocious) and then had small 2-2 & 2-3 units to block. This is like the 4th time this has happened - this one & another were expedition games too!
Congrats! I have not yet achieved legend and I'm playing since Grand Tournament, LOL.
This month I reached Diamond 9 (maybe 8 if I play today) playing mostly unoptimized decks (you know, Libram Paladin, Midrange Dragon Priest and such) and a bit of Secret Galakrond Rogue, so maybe I'd try harder next month, with a good deck, I don't know. I don't have a lot of time to grind, but who knows. It seems easier to achieve Legend with the new system, so maybe it's time already!
It is definitely a lot easier to hit Legend. For one, there are 10 less stars between each rank floor, which makes climbing a lot easier. Also, the rewards are actually worth the climb. Before, I had no motivation to hit Legend and little motivation to hit rank 5. Now, with the free Legendary, extra packs, and all of the rewards you get during the climb, it actually feels worth the effort to play ladder.

Thanks for all the comments! I changed it to a warlock card with a new image

Welcome! You'll love it here. A former rookie to rookie.
Like link said, this is way better off as a Warlock card. This is kinda of a mix of Recycle and Chaos Gazer. I like the card, it has great potential.
Anyone else think expeditions feel worse with Bilgewater?

Am I crazy, or do they still not tell you what your daily quest is on login?
There is certainly a room for improvement when it comes to UI, i will agree with that.
First time legend here too! (yeay!)

Final Day Climb, First Time Legend
GGWP
Sometimes I can't block it just skips it with no indication why.
Yeah you need to screen cap the board state. We can't guess otherwise. There's a million reason why you couldn't block.

Final Day Climb, First Time Legend
Grats :D For your question, is it normal to jump and scream? I´ll tell you when I hit legend for the first time too :))
Totemload Shaman
Ancestral Knowledge maybe? Also running 2 EVIL Totems and 1 Serpent Ward instead may help a bit.
First time legend here too! (yeay!)
Grats to you too then mate :)

I am not going to play the guessing game, if it happens screenshot it.
if your units are stunned the blocking phase is skipped, swain probably stunned more than 1 unit.
Brawl Block - Dragon Hunter
Thanks for sharing your list - you made my pack very fast and easy to obtain

Congrats on Legend! I too hit Legend for the first time this month. It was a great feeling! Even more kudos for hitting legend without using DH!
