1 mana Mogu Fleshshaper into Mutate. Twice in a row! Gets Deathwing and Colossus out of them. On turn 6
Can we stop pretending that this is not a fucking issue please. You play Mogu at 1 you a get a fucking 2 drop, simple, how is even remotely sensible for it to be a 10 drop at that point
Fucking cunt designers obviously circle jerk over how far they can push this shit before we want to shoot them. (That is now by the way, or when Mogu and Mutate were aloud to be in same rotation).
Not to mention all the Galakrond shit and free rush minions coming from his arsehole every turn and scoring taunt totems nearly every turn too.
Mother fucker just got way too lucky on every single roll he had.
Sea Giant needs to join his brothers in the pit of hell that is HoF and this mana cheating shit needs to stop and be fixed.
But seriously. Fuck Quest Mage and the incompetent """balancers"""" of Blizzard. The nerf has done absolutely NOTHING.
ZERO counterplay. Their Quest is completed on Turn 6. Same turn, he summons my Voidlord and kills it. At 6 mana, they out-manacheat THE 9 mana card. And next turn: they had lethal. With 7 mana. From 23 HP to 0.
The extra turn was the worst card printed in the history of Hearthstone. This deck is right there with Naga Sea Witch Giants and Snip-Snaps.
And the fucker emoted me in the end.
Usually I'm all for preserving decks and cards when possible in wild, but here I do have to agree with most of what you said. I think the extra quest/turn mechanic is fine (no different than the average win condition for most OTKs), but the issue is with having a win condition ready so incredibly early and consistently is what is a big problem for me.
I usually also feel things do have counter play, but you're right. The counter play is minimal if you're not flat out smashing their face with an incredibly fast aggro deck. Sure, you could rat/demonic project/insert hand disruption here, but they run 3-4 giants, and since you're on an extremely fast clock with all their cycling even pulling off a Brann + Rat combo at best pulls 2 giants, but then you have 1-3 mana leftover to deal with 2 8/8s. I even ran that 6 mana minion that forces a spell to be played, in one of my decks, used it somewhere around turn 7 or 8, hit the spell & still lost. They just summoned giants and killed me.
So hitting the spell from their hand doesn't consistently improve your win rate, hitting giants also doesn't really do anything. Aside from running aggro there are no other anti synergy options left.
I do wish that they would nerf the giants by increasing their base mana cost though and not nerf the quest again. I actually really like slower Quest Mage otk builds, such as Quest Malygos Mage since it's not just a node towards bigger spell Freeze Mage, but just Malygos decks in general. Making the quest cost 10 or 12 mana makes it near impossible for the quest to be played in higher curve control otk builds because you'd have to sacrifice so much for the lower curve Mana Cyclone package.
One last side note, playing Mecha'Thun Lock (the one where you can win on turn 8) Quest Mage is my absolute worst match-up. I've had games where I've played Hemet ON TURN 6 and still lost against Quest Mage. That is absolutely unbelievable.
There are so many ways to deal with Teemo. If your deck doesn't ping, challenge, give vulnerable, play AoE or whatnot then consider yourself countered.
I'm glad we have lots of options other than only Hearthstone. The biggest difference, and game changer for me, is the generosity of Legends of Runeterra. It is so much easier to get the cards you want to be able to play with in Runeterra than you could ever hope for in Hearthstone.
I feel like a "Limited" constructed mode has been suggested by players for a while. If the new mode they teased will use our collections I can see them doing something like this. But if it is going to be similar in scope to Arena as they also teased, I'm worried it'll just be a constructed Arena mode, or like a monthly Brawleseum type of mode. Which isn't quite what I'd like to see, but... it's fine I guess.
Honestly, haven't had much time to play. The wife and I have a 5 month old at home, our first, so that's just another thing that slows or stops my legend attempt! Haha.
Pretty rad animation, but doesn’t do much to sell the game.
The game itself has a somewhat polished look and feel (when opening packs, some of the rightmost card is clipped off the edge of the screen on an iPad Pro - doesn’t feel especially professional), but I don’t think I really like it. I bought the starter pack, but have no idea what I got in there. It just sort of said, “You got it”. I mean, what did I get? I get a dang light show every time I open a crappy free reward pack, but I spend $5 and...nothing? Weird.
As for the gameplay, it seems needlessly over-complicated to try to be like Magic with all of the instant effects and back and forth - and for its part, it handles this well without much clutter, but Hearthstone showed us we didn’t need all that, and this definitely feels like a step backwards. Also, I just don’t care about any of the characters. I wasn’t a WoW fan before Hearthstone, but I instantly fell in love with the cute menagerie. LoR is trying to score some Murloc points with their Pomos or Pokos or whatever, but it just doesn’t work. And - this may sound weird - but I feel like the inclusion of the MtG blocking mechanic actually REDUCES the strategy element. I mean, there should be a lot of decisions to make with instants in hand and whatnot, but something about how quickl the games play out means that all of that imagined interaction just doesn’t materialize in most games - not like it did back in my Magic days. Sorry, Riot, Hearthstone just beats this hands-down.
I actually think that HS finally found a worthy opponent (pun intended).
I downloaded LoR two days ago to take a break from the Demon Hunter bullshit happening in HS right now and I've been intrigued pretty much immediately.
The game play is very different (I would say way more strategic), RNG is way less relevant and visually the game kicks ass. One of the thing I liked the most is the possibility to look at the full HD artworks of the cards. They are absolutely gorgeous.
The freebies are really a lot, and the game is really intuitive. I went 7-0 in my very first expedition attempt. Then a 5 wins.
I do agree tho on the disappointment for the starter bundle. Was expecting some flashy animation, instead nothing :(
I've been facing this deck a lot in my ranked games and i think i only lost to it twice, both times due bad luck (didn't get my finishers or The Ruination)
No, just shake it off. As an alternative, you could eat a spoon of actual salt, that would technically cost money too and would produce some serious emotes, i bet :D
Why do all the Priest players play to the very last second of their rope? Their fucking decks already make matches last 30+ minutes, but when they sit there and take their sweet fucking time on every fucking turn, the game goes for 45 minutes. I just wanted a quick match. Seriously, I think the only reason Priest's win rate is as high as it is is because of people getting sick and tired of these boring ass games against them and conceding.
Also, I love how they rework Priest's basic/classic set, yet still people only play Rez bull shit. Shows you just how broken the resurrection mechanic is.
Also, what is it with Priest players and emoting the entire fucking time? "Thank you! Thank you!" Oh, you're so fucking cool because you think my play benefited you. Fucking eat shit and die.
In hearthstone the squelch button exists, so no. I dont feel like paying money for something that my opponent can just counter with a flick of a button.
Besides which, the present emote system can already be pretty tilting. I personally feel that blizzard should not be encouraging poor sportsmanship, let alone make money off a custom made raspberry. If there were a laugh emote right now it might not be farfetched to suggest a correlation of that to a higher percentage of domestic abuse throughout the world.

Ulamog is huuuuge for reanimator decks, and Obliterator is super strong for mono-black, Rakdos, and Dimir builds against non-Titan matchups. Very excited for this already, I'm glad they're aggressively pushing for Historic to be a unique format.
I just had a game in wild where I was playing a rough battlecry shamen deck (not full meme) and I played a secret mage. I lost mainly due to not drawing my heals and being stuck with Yogg in my hand. Basically at the end I really wanted my final comment to be 'boring'. This is a salty response so we don't want to encourage it but we can allow it within boundaries.
So I guess the questions are, would we want this response to be available and how much would we be willing to pay for it. If Blizzard sold me that emote for £2 at the end of that game, yeah I might have been in. Do you have games where you'd pay more? Is this silly or is monetizing our salt a viable strategy?
Season Rewards
It's 4 packs. Reaching d5 would've got you a 5th pack.
The classic ones are only for the first time you reach that rank.
Group Therapy! Need to blow off some steam? Mega salty? Here's the place!
Just played a Shaman who had literally doesn't know what paying the card cost actually means
Free Sea Giant's by turn 3/4

does swain work with strike spells?
All cards work. Even Single Combat.

This times 100.
I either want to verbally overpower my opponents or nothing at all. Not a few lousy emotes. Give us auto-squelch Blizzard. It's been far too long.
Season Rewards
Yeah if you add up all of it its 12 packs...
Season Rewards
Nope, that's what the new end-of-season rewards look like. You can see what they all are by clicking on the chest next to your rank on the quest log.
Season Rewards
So i just got 4 AoU packs as my season reward for reaching Diamond 6....
Am i missing something or is it bugged ?
