  • ez karma...

Just play a good spider deck to crush Ez decks. As an aggro/midrange player. I lick my chops at Ez decks when I play aggro.  The reason Ez is rising is because Bannerman is, was/kind of the best deck. Bannerman is midrange and Control beats Midrange.

    Aggro beats Control
    Control beats Midrange
    Midrange beats Aggro

It is a vicious brutal cycle, Ez is the result of Elusive Midrange and Bannerman Midrange taking tier 1 status. It was natural a control deck would become the solution.

I hate control players, but I understand the necessary evil. If there were no control decks. There would be no aggro decks and the only thing you'll have is midrange. I welcome Ez's rise, because it will mean the end of bannerman and elusives.

If you keep seeing Ez deck crop up. Build a Spider or Discard burn deck and make them wish they didn't play that deck. If you want to become a good player you have to adapt.

    Hell it was about time

Time to tech back with Kezan Mystic.

  • Latest Hearthstone Nerfs (and Buff) Are Now Live!

Does anybody know if I can disenchant Frenzied Felwing just in case and re-craft it later? Won't there be problems with adventure cards not being craftable until the adventure rotates?

  • Shadow Ashe (Frejlord + SI Control)

I am also surprised Ashe is not popular.
The deck does it all (aggro, control and even holds a big win condition if necessary).

Yeah, I'm wondering if it's still worth carrying Unseen Saboteur in my Wild highlander packages.

Useless in Standard at the moment, but in Wild it has been an all-star and worth pairing with Brann Bronzebeard. Card has won many games against warlocks (Cataclysm or Bloodbloom goes off, you win; even had a miracle against Darkest Hour Warlock having his Twisting Nether go off).

And it's very effective against druids, rogues, Shadowreaper Priest (milling the millers or screwing up some OTK shenanigans) and Control Warrior to a degree (one mass removal misused can make all the difference).

But it's almost impossible to use it against Quest Mage (had it snag a Time Warp about three times since August) or Big Priest now (too many rez spells in its latest form).

  • Card which the community is most polarized about?

I know is beyond the scope of the thread, but how is Shadow Assassin balanced in any way?

Just think Shadow Assassin in this way:
It has elusive, so outside of challenger units, try a wild guess wich is the best spell card that can remove her paying the least amount of mana?
Answer: Mystic Shot. 2 mana cost. So she is pretty much a 1 mana draw engine that also deals 2 damage, can block other elusives and do consistent damage if your oponnent doesn't have elusives/challenger units. This isn't balanced at all for 3 mana. I am surprised this card survived without a nerf to this day tbh.

Back to topic... my horse is on Glimpse Beyond... but the card i hate the most is: Relentless Pursuit.

I really hope that the Nerf to Open the Waygate will be enough to make Quest-Mage less frustrating to play against.

But honestly, I can see this turn out like The Caverns Below.

Hey, congrats Devizz. Can't wait to see your theme.

Despite placing 29th out of 44 entries (not counting the two that were disqualified), I find it incredible that 7 people gave my card 5 stars, which is more than most of the entries near my position. And it literally only has one word in its textbox.

  • Top Secret - Card Design Competition Discussion Thread

I created various Secrets for my custom expansion; maybe I can get away with one here:

    • Counter Strike helps a minion "punch up" against a stronger enemy, or to seriously punish the opposing hero for attacking with their face.
    • Smokescreen can be used to keep a combo piece alive, or combined with the new Stealth package (somewhat).
    • Feedback Blast is to force an even trade, possibly denying the opponent tempo or to keep their board clean.

Oh yeah I was REAL scared this afternoon seeing the patch update cuz I was 3 games from Legend.

Still made it, tho! DH is still quite strong

  • Latest Hearthstone Nerfs (and Buff) Are Now Live!

Altruis is still really strong even at 4 mana

as long as DH has 0 mana spells that can activate him he'll still see play

    Same goes for Glaivebound Adept

Congratulations Devizz! You swooped in late for the victory haha :D

  • New Freljord Spell - Fury of the North

+1 Mana on Twin Disciplines for better than both of their effects combined. Seems like it could also be used with Leveled up Sejuani to keep her alive and activate her ability

I suspect it is because this plan exists for every class: stay alive, play Reno Jackson. Thanks to that even my 35 legendary rogue deck, which has no business beating anything aggressive, can win.

I would still absolutely support a secret mage nerf, though most of all I want an arena-like frequently rotating Wild format. Even dominant decks are bearable when they only last 2 months.

  • New Freljord Card - Ember Maiden

This card is much better than it looks. It can by itself counter spider decks, and it has great synergy with both Sejuani and Swain. The low health might seem like an issue, but with cards like Elixir of Iron and Take Heart it can stay around for multiple turns. Plus, it can be used in conjunction with Noxus for “When I survive Damage” units and to use with Noxian Guillotine

  • Latest Hearthstone Nerfs (and Buff) Are Now Live!

They'll need 2 years of data and community bitching before they start to "look" at it. And during that time, they'll probably print new secret cards that break it even more.

To be fair, Secret Mage really only became a major problem during SoU with the new toys they got. So it hasn't been that long.

That being said, I do wish they'd do something. It can be a rather frustrating and un-fun deck to play against. Just the fact that most wild decks run 1 secret tech shows how big of an issue it is.

  • New Freljord Card - Ember Maiden

Start of the round is too slow...
    Easy to get rid of...
    Deals damage to himself...

er... wanna be Ekko is not looking good =/

  • Latest Hearthstone Nerfs (and Buff) Are Now Live!

Curios about Arena, they mention that will be a micro-adjustmets in this path, a shortly after, its not the first time they forget to mention about arena, so i'am curios if this is the case again, or if the arena patch will come later.

  • Latest Hearthstone Nerfs (and Buff) Are Now Live!

I mean they don't care so much about aggressive strategies in Wild... they only nerf broken comboes...

  • Latest Hearthstone Nerfs (and Buff) Are Now Live!

I think that there will still be a lot of play with Open the Waygate.  In Wild, there are just so many options to get cards into your hand, an increase of only 2 spell requirement will have little to no impact.

The other balance adjustments are as expected.  Although, Kael'thas Sunstrider goes off one turn later, will still be a pain to deal with..

Bloodbloom feels almost unplayable now because of this though, it has effectively destroyed the majority of combos used with it.

  • Latest Hearthstone Nerfs (and Buff) Are Now Live!

It is a wonder Secret Mage hasn't been nerfed. That deck is bonkers (76.6% win rate according to hsreplay.net) and has been forever.

  • Latest Hearthstone Nerfs (and Buff) Are Now Live!

    Wait what??? Why not Tuesday?

  • Bomb Egg Warrior [Boarcontrol]

I have been playing this deck all day and beating the hell out of every Warlock deck (which is the majority of my opponents).  Seriously, great build and great counter for the current meta.

The only thing that put a stop in my progress was hunter, which I'm willing to chalk up to bad draws on my end.

  • ez karma...

    Quote From TriMay

    Just kill the Ezreal.

This is a terrible advice... some reasons why:
    1- 2/4 elusive is not easy to remove;
2- Deny; (wich also deals dmg with Ez on board)
    3- Many pieces have burst spell speed;
    4- Karma also needs removal;
5- He may play another Ez; (Cost is only 3 mana)
    6- He may chain will of ionia on Ez then play him again;
7- He may chain other spells on your removal.

No bro, removing ez is not an option unless its played very early in the match.
In that case, you can count he has another Ez in his hand.
