Aye, Wild Legend player here and I can't say I understand certain things about the new ladder system.
First point is honestly me being nitpicky about everything, but why the hell can't you see your opponents rank till you're in Legend. Seems kinda nonsensical to me.
Secondly, I'm so sick of seeing the same lame Bronze to Diamond ladder system. COME ON, the game is based of World of fucking Warcraft, can't they honestly come up with something more original?
Third point being. I like to play meme decks once I hit Legend, but I do not like the fact that I constantly play against Rank 10 to 5 players. I do not like giving non-legend people free wins.
Neither of my points are anything extreme, but I guess it's a new system and it obviously needs tweaking as hitting Legend was quite a breeze.
That being said, I'm very glad they have come up with a new reward distribution system as it finally feels worth grinding to higher ranks. Especially for casual players that are used to heading just for the old systems Rank 15.
Maybe try to use brains and counter it before whining. Trust me, it's more effective.
Finnaly someone with brains yeah i am also not a fan of DH but i am even more not a fan of is a nerf after just a expansion is out I thinkt they do it to fast and if they waited the counter would be there its a new class ofcourse most people play it
Here ya go, the quote you asked for. I highlighted the part that shows that you're upset.
Personally I would have liked the new ladder way more if it were a bit too challenging. Maybe I am just kinda salty for gaining easy stars prior to Diamond 5
And it probably killed the deck with skull of gulden no longer odd costed. I swapped in an acolyte of pain and a second henchclan thug. Not sure if it works yet.
Anyone else trying Odd Demon Hunter with suggestions for the replacement of skull?
Tar Creeper's time is long gone. You won't be able to stop todays wild aggro with that. But the deck seems like it has potential. Put more deathrattle synergy cards like sylvanas, or umbra.
Yeah, that was the earlier version. But way too greedy, you just want to keep pressure up and 1 or more eggs for AoE protection.
And Tar Creeper is phenomenal in this deck. Protecting eggs and your face. There is no better defensive 3-drop for Hunters.
The 1 mana 2/2 that grows is more oppressive than all of these in my opinion(granted it was really close with eye beam) and that wasnt touched at all. It's basically a "gain 1 attack at the beginning of your turn" effect since you can attack so easily with the hero. Played against only demon hunter and rogue yesterday and the demon hunters always had both of these on board before turn 3. I have no idea why this wasnt touched.
We've been dealing with flame imp for the last 6 years. I personally dont think Battlefiend is any trouble at all. If you miss out on your Umberwing, you'd have to spend 1 mana on turn 2 to buff the guy.
Thanks to 0 mana Eye Beam however, you'd not be permitted to develop any minions until turn 4. That's why Battlefiend is a problem. But eye beam got nerfed so we'll see what develops from that.
Comparing it to flame imp... a high statted one drop with a downside like flame imp vs a high statted one drop with an upside that costs 1 mana to enable and quickly out scales flame imp. But yeah "theyll have to hero power every turn" poor baby has to spend 1 mana every turn when their deck has nothing over 6 cost in it....what a trial...

I've been running a Deathrattle version. Thought about doing either beasts or dragons as well, but I had to try Teron Gorefiend so I ended up with this.
My stats from bronze/silver to somewhere in plat. Obviously not very indicative.. Didn't encounter too many aggressive decks, so this list works fine for now (and i like the greed - the first version was even greedier). Would probably remove Brann and Stitched Tracker next to add some anti aggro tools or something to increase early game consistency. Was also thinking of adding a second Nagrand Slam and a Grand Archivist, I tend to either be almost dead or have board control at 8 mana so this might add some additional pressure.
Edit: I would like to see some other versions as well. The only reason I did a Deathrattle build was because I got stuck while building the Beast and Dragon versions. I would guess the Dragon version has the best chance against aggressive decks, while beasts would be something in between Dragon (anti aggro) and the Deathrattle (control crusher) build?
I think the nerfs are okay, for now, while the meta readjusts itself.
One of the biggest problem with dhunters was their incredible healing and tempo swings. So nerfing Eye Beam and Aldrachi Warblades might have more impact than meets the eye.
Also, skull nerf means it might be more difficult to chain draw cards off the Skull of Gul'dan.
These cards are needed to ensure a healthy overall environment for any card game. Otherwise, people have no reason to not needlessly overextend and play their entire hand onto the board with no penalties or risk.
Well, there are still AoE/global damage cards (although they're few and far between in Legends of Runeterra). Otherwise, though, I fully agree.
The Last Breath Scout unit feels overtuned to me. Its statline is kind of bad, but not horrible, it has scout, and then it generates an undercosted follower in your hand. Seems like a bit much... (edit: It actually summons the 4/4 to the field, which makes it flat-out broken in my opinion)
Wait, if you match up with people who have your MMR then they're more than capable of beating you. Whether they're Bronze 5, Diamond 10 or Legend players.
Them choosing to play meme decks is the risk they take. Especially if they're looking to climb. They should be fully aware of this.
Also, how does one 'destroy' their opponent in a card game, other than through deck matchups and RNG?
The new MMR matching system in ladder is not good

I love the style!
We need a full-blown saga with this stuff!
Bug or not?

Mobile has nothing to do with it. Hearthstone VR would be a version on its own.

Garrosh' heroic strike was so satisfying, even after only two day's of Illidan's reign.

I think this was because of the quest - everybody had to play 3 times DH to get the packs.

As you would expect, I guess? Both grant you an attack token. So you can launch 3 attacks in a round if you play 1 Relentless Pursuit.

But this kinda kills Odd DH.

thank god they suck in Battlegrounds at least

Not nearly enough, they are still 3/4 of ladder and still disgustingly overpowered.
