I don't really see Karma fits since you don't have any spell that you really want to duplicate (like direct damage to the Nexus or other single target shots).
I am fine with no neutrals.. since you can mix regions and treat the secondary region (or shared, sometimes it's a 50/50) as your neutral pool, it frees up so much design space cause you can give each region similar tools without feeling like all the game will be the same..
Speaking of, it took me a while to see the difference between Whirling Death and Single Combat. I was like, why is the card that requires the units to be in battle cost more? Is it cause of the different region ... then after a while i noticed only one unit takes damage :D Cost me a game or two before i realized lol.
Yeah, it takes a while to get used to the "Strike" keyword, in hearthstone when 2 units battle they always lower each other hp equal to each other's attack value but in runettera each battle instance is called striking which is defined as "A unit with more than 0 attack deals it's attack value to another unit"
This is important cause of frostbite effects negating on strike effects, and it solves the confusion around how Katarina works, because she has quick attack and strikes first she recalls when she strikes and then the opponent tries to retaliate but can't cause there's no unit to strike. I really appreciate this rule since it also opens so much design space around the different instances of a combat and already is present in 3 keywords: "strike ","quick attack" and "double attack".
Actually there are many cards that say "when I am summoned" they all act the same way when revived or generated in any way... Maybe there's a deck that capitalize on this further, other than dawn spiders
Happened to me in expeditions, Chronicler of Ruin killed off The Rekindler and when it came back it brought the Champion as well. Disgusting to say the least :D Chronicler of Ruin is quickly becoming one of the most annoying cards to play against for me. Always brings my opponent tremendous value.
Damn, that is quite a disgusting interaction indeed. And here I thought The Rekindler was already really strong (possibly too strong) by itself lol.

Totally agree. I love Karma. Really don't understand why some folks don't like her.
I also think same for Katarina. I mean, I can understand that both of them are hard to play but that doesn't mean those are bad because people can't handle how to play with them.
One small note on this, when inserting images, you need to input a direct link to the image, url usually ends with .jpg or .bmp, not the link to the imgur gallery ;-)

This just happened when my opponent played The Harrowing against me:
Since three Chump Whumps where among the revived cards, they also got six Mushroom Clouds. At first I thought it was a bug, but after looking into it I found out it's supposed to happen since Chump Whump's card text says "when I'm summoned, create two mushroom cloud in hand" and not "play: create two mushroom cloud in hand". I decided to share it here since this is actually a really cool interaction with The Harrowing that a lot of players probably aren't aware of (It was also quite scary, since I had very few cards left in my deck when this happened).
In freljord you forgot the best tool against elusives: frostbite, those burst speed spells can't be denied and really wreack the buffed elusives, yes you can probably not kill them but you should apply enough pressure for them to want to block, there's an ashe + noxus anti elusive deck.
I am fine with no neutrals.. since you can mix regions and treat the secondary region (or shared, sometimes it's a 50/50) as your neutral pool, it frees up so much design space cause you can give each region similar tools without feeling like all the game will be the same..
about the current balance problems.. there will be balance changes in 9 days from now.. it's expected the game won't be balanced in month 1..
I personally haven't experienced anything like that, but this is an open beta. You could fill out a support ticket, but most likely its 1000 XP lost to the wind. :-(
I agree with BlueSpark. I think the thing now is that regions need a little fine tuning and that might not happen until the next expansion at this rate. You use the example of Frejlord: they actually have good challenger offerings too from Stalking Wolf and Rimefang Wolf, but they kinda feel like a weaker version of Damacia's. Ideally, Frejlord control decks would be able to rely more on its signature Frostbite mechanic, but as-is it feels really bad using Brittle Steel or a Icevale Archer just to prevent 2-3 damage.
The problem with Deny is that top tier agro decks are build around either Fearsome or Elusive units. So you can't just play minions since they won't be able to trade at all. The only TRUE way to punish those decks is by playing AOE spells, and thats exatcly the reason why they run Deny.
A very easy solution to balance Deny is to Refund all mana from the targeted spell.
I'd be fine seeing him HOF'd. He's not broken, but he just isn't fun to play against in my opinion.
That's because he's a finisher.
It's never fun to lose.
Fair point, but at least most other finishers require some amount of set up other than "oh I drew this now I can do 6". Savage Roar and Unleash the Hounds require there to already be a board, Kill Command needs a Beast most of the time, you need to have 10 mana to pyroblast, etc. The exception to my argument is Fireball, but considering tempo mage is dead atm I'm not concerned about it.
If you have trouble against some aggro decks, elusives etc. and like to play ramp decks, You might want to check this Ionia/Freljord Karma/Anivia Control deck.
Rogue is just broken af right now. They posses way too many answers to nearly any situation through nearly infinite discover effects, and the ability to reduce the cost of any card to zero Mana. So tired of facing Rogues who can keep their hand full while playing four or five cards a turn or more, draw through their entire deck only to shuffle thirty copies of one OP card back in, destroy almost any minion and any copies thereof anywhere they happen to be, build a full board of big minions from nothing, propagate deathrattle effects again and again and again... The only thing Rogue really lacks is class healing, and they can generally get that from any number of their ridiculous amount of discover cards. So sick of nearly half the decks I face on ladder being Rogue. I hate the class now. Wish they'd nerf it into the ground so far it'll never see the light of day again.
/salt
I’m assuming this is Galakrond Rogue. Just trying to help out here, so I will say aggressive decks tend to do very well against Rogue as they have no good answers to wide boards.
God I love expeditions so much. I love bodying fools playing Yasuo/Zed with Karma and Ashe. Karma is the most underrated legend, at least in expeditions.
Except Zaun and Piltover are literally in the same area. Zaun is the undercity around Piltover. Zaun and Piltover is a battle of class warfare, Piltover being the rich, Zaun being the poor. Noxus and Demacia are in completely separate areas fighting for conquest of each other's lands due to conflicting ideologies. You could not say the same about Zaun and Piltover.
Grats on the good runs (except for the 1 win) and getting the cards you wanted. I got another Champion Wildcard from the region rewards and finally crafted a second Ashe for my Freljord/Demacia Freeze deck! Good luck this week!

Is the lack of a "neutral" set a bigger problem than we realize?

Traversing Azeroth - The History of the Mysterious Ethereals
Nice article, I always wondered about the Ethereals.
Also,
"This creature could possibly be another spices from K'aresh which experienced the same transformations as the ethereals themselves."
"Spices" should probably be "species".
So, how long is Deny gonna stay at 3 mana?
The problem with Deny is that top tier agro decks are build around either Fearsome or Elusive units.
