I like this one. Rogues have always problems to find a good play on t2 without the coin and usually end up hero powering, which is kinda awkward, if the opponent have >1 hp minion on his side of the board already. So, I can see this fit in some decks.
It's the other way around, because rogue has a hero power which is good early game (and mostly early game) it can afford to hero power on 2 with no significant drawback as such rogues generally don't run 2 drops and don't actually need them.. if you look at the rogue 2 cost cards it's generally some cards you don't want to play on 2 (sap/eviscerate/zephyrs).
So I don't think rogue is in need for 2 cost cards for curve purposes..
With the discover mechanic getting nerfed so hard it no longer a consistent mechanic when you want to play specific things like for example.. toggwaggle if the 400% chance to get class cards was still in effect this card would be insane.
This card has great potential, I think. Maybe it just gets you a third copy of something you already run, maybe it helps you find an answer to something you weren't prepared for. Plus we have Spirit of the Shark.
Thanks for the breakdown, really helpful. It seems like the card might be worth playing, but not necessarily in the priest decks that are popular right now. I could see a tempo dragon priest coming back.
There's an unspoken rule that goes by this: "when a bug is not removed, it becomes a game feature".
I personally think that it perfectly fits what is happening with the cards from the 3 remaining wings.
why does it fits?
Cause I don't think it is supposed to happen (e.g. never seen Zayle, Shadow Cloak generated by Faceless Lackey before its actual release).
yeah I agree.. they got lazy they could manually release them or make them unavailable like before an expansion release.. but they made all the card part of the same "block" so they are all enabled together.
Even Rez Priest is like less than 10% of the ladder.
Everyone's playing Rogue now because it beats all of those decks (and most others)
There's a new druid deck revolving around witching hour and the new druid taunt.
I maybe ran into that one twice within the last two days, so it can't be popular enough to complain about.
I played around casual for the last 2 days I saw this deck in around half my games (played 15 I think) it's gaining popularity.. it reminds me of res priest.. and the worst of all is that you can't really sheep or hex the annoying minion cause it's untargetable.. (well sheep or hex still makes witching hour less consistent... like with hadronox)
I played the deck a bit it can be rushed down.. or get out controlled with perfect control draws of control warrior.. but galakround warrior seem to have no chance against it.. similar to res priest actually it's also really good vs face hunter it got taunts, heals.. and armor gain.
it's interesting how one card created a full deck I kind of regret not rating the card a 5 star card (put it at 4/5)
Hit this guy and Clockwork Automaton with Luna's Pocket Galaxy and you can belt out some serious damage (Fire-Eater too, maybe even a Blackwald Pixie).
I think the value of this card will largely depend on exactly what the Battlecry does. Is it basically Plague of Death, but doesn't add them to the res pool? That's pretty good. Or do they come back at some point, like that card he plays in the Adventure mode?
I agree with posts above. Not enough mech support in Hunter to make this great, and even less come April. That being said, there are a few niche situations where this could explode in a big way.
Quest Druids I see (and play) tend to go tall rather than wide (like Malygos combo, for example). However, cards like this, plus Power of the Wild, Tending Tauren, etc, can work really well for swarming. This card is like Oasis Surger and Hidden Oasis: ok on its own, but really only worth it if you're getting both effects.
Did druid become something overnight? Every druid I face gets obliterated by hunter and rogue, but I'm around rank 9 right now so I could simply face a different eta than you. Where are you at on ladder?
I can see the "lack of cards" point, but I would think it's got more to do with filling in strategy gaps -- dipping into a different region to do something your primary region cannot do well (or do at all).
I doubt we'll see a lot of mono decks that don't use Allegiance, because the additional power boost is what's needed to compete with decks that have a broader range of abilities and synergies. At least, that was my theory for why Allegiance even exists in the first place. Before I understood the keyword, I had assumed mono would never be a competitive strategy at all. (At the very least, you'd often splash Ionia just for the "nopes," wouldn't you?)
I smile every time I see people praise HSBG; it's honestly the least interesting or enjoyable form of autobattler I've tried, and I can only assume people who are big on it just haven't/don't play other autobattler games.
That assumption would be false.
I tried Auto Chess when it first blew up, and I thought it was the most boring game I had ever played in my life.
Note that I despise MOBAs, so that may have a lot to do with my preference.

As for the meta, if you go back through various forum archives you can see a thousand threads that are essentially identical to this one. All of them whined about some deck or other which was allegedly brainless, unbeatable, what have you. None of those decks, and none of those threads, bore out in truth.
So, what's more likely here - that somehow the current meta is the one that managed to actually manifest an utterly broken deck when no previous one has... or that you're just salty and whining about it? A little self-awareness is all.

My opponent got Chaos Gazer from Unstable Portal in the current tavern brawl
New Rogue Spell - Waxmancy

Pretty exited to have fun with this today! Good luck everyone, hope you guys have fun!
New Shaman Weapon - The Fist of Ra-den
Thanks? Wrong thread, but I'll take the props!
New Neutral Minion - Frenzied Felwing
Disgusting. Can't wait to try it!
New Neutral Minion - Frenzied Felwing
Aggro Paladin plays 2 x this, 2 x Dread Corsair, and Truesilver.
Turn 4 could be 12/12 in stats and a weapon.
Legends of Runeterra Meta Decks - The Best Runeterra Community Decks
Ok ok... Let me finish job then I will come up with a deck.
New Rogue Spell - Waxmancy
This card has great potential, I think. Maybe it just gets you a third copy of something you already run, maybe it helps you find an answer to something you weren't prepared for. Plus we have Spirit of the Shark.
New Neutral Minion - Frenzied Felwing
Echo cards can't be reduced below 1, that included glinda IIRC.
New Priest Spell - Dark Prophecy
Thanks for the breakdown, really helpful. It seems like the card might be worth playing, but not necessarily in the priest decks that are popular right now. I could see a tempo dragon priest coming back.
New Paladin Spell - Air Raid
Potentially insane in wild, but not enough support in standard. It's double Lost in the Jungle for Even Paladin, with taunt!

New Neutral Minion - Frenzied Felwing
Like Happy Ghoul, as noted above. Doesn't come out on turn 1, but still a strong tempo swing. I expect to hate getting killed by this.
New Mage Minion - Arcane Amplifier
Hit this guy and Clockwork Automaton with Luna's Pocket Galaxy and you can belt out some serious damage (Fire-Eater too, maybe even a Blackwald Pixie).
Random champion card removed from level 10+ Vaults
If you enjoy the collecting aspect of these games, I'd think LoR would be far more enjoyable since you have so much more control over the process.
I believe there's still a "no duplicate drops" rule for Champions AND epics, which will help a lot if you are free to play.
I'm not f2p, but I am a collector at heart, and the fact that I don't have to rely on randomized packs seems like a godsend to me.
New Mage Hero - The Amazing Reno
I think the value of this card will largely depend on exactly what the Battlecry does. Is it basically Plague of Death, but doesn't add them to the res pool? That's pretty good. Or do they come back at some point, like that card he plays in the Adventure mode?
New Hunter Minion - Chopshop Copter
I agree with posts above. Not enough mech support in Hunter to make this great, and even less come April. That being said, there are a few niche situations where this could explode in a big way.
