The only problem with the chat i encountered so far is that i cannot see the chat - i can see the input im writing but after that i do not see the chat window anymore. Only the Speech Bubble that pops up once you get a message.
Haven't checked the Chat function since the update so maybe the fixed it.
EDIT: I checked and the Chat function is also fixed - everything works fine as it was before :)
Good bye Shamanstone, hello Roguestone! How is your climb being this season?
Last season I was not able to reach my goal (rank 5) so I started 2 ranks lower this month. However, I'm climbing pretty easily with Galakrond Zoo Warlock, maybe I was lucky with the matchups (only encountered 2 rogues so far). So I expect to reach rank 5 in my next session (hopefully today).
What about you? What are your goals fo this season? Are you succeeding?
I've plowed through the evil side with standard Quest Hunter. First match on the heroes side is finished too, haven't attempted anymore, but I don't foresee any issues. Quest Hunter seems like a solid choice. I'll probably play through them all again with some wild decks also.
Just what we needed...another Res Priest deck...god this game is so frustrating lately...literally random card drawing decks and multiple taunt decks...this meta sucks...remember the good old days...2 years ago or so before Ben took off...downhill meta since. Solos are better but the meta is a steaming pile of shit.
Also - and I apologize for calling this to the attention of active players, because if you're anything like me, it'll irk you to no end - while the Power value is centered on its orange gem, the Health value is slightly right of its red gem's center. Woopsie.
I've won all matches with Big priest, and the Game against the elemental that summon 4/4 freezed Minions with the Murozond the Infinite +King Togwaggle combo.
It sames that any competitive deck should win that adventures.
MechaThun Warlock - 1st try all 6 heroic week 1 matches. I tried a face deck right off the bat and that didnt work. so I switched to MechaThunLock and didnt lose a damn game!
With the release of a new adventure mode comes - sometimes - the challenge of getting across a rough encounter and the ambition of conquering the heroic difficulty level to add yet an other card back to your collection. With the most recent solo content released, Galakrond's Awakening, came the enjoyment but also the underwhelming triumph with no glory - the first act being particularly easy to complete - I figure I could start up a thread ahead of time to exchange tips and tricks, if difficulty may rise : collectively, we are smarter (to some extend ; am I opening a parenthesis within a parenthesis? (Yes, but also no)).
If you didn't succeed on your first try, well ... we feel a tad sorry for you, but won't judge. Instead, we'll give advice and solutions for you to get ahead with your unquenchable thirst for card back.
For instance, I completed the Evil side with your almost typical Standard Galakrond Shaman deck, but with a focus on healing and infinite Shudderwock. I then completed the explorer side using Hinghlander Hunter - the Tier 1 standard list - nothing original. Bomb warrior was enjoyable but not fitted for every boss ... wouldn't suggest that one. Some others were suggesting on an other thread that the Wild side of your collection was the way to go ; Rez Priest being a power house, Exodia Mage being golden as well.
Stay tune for the second act and feel free to share your successful exploit and recipe! We are gonna be rich! And save the world!!
I like the idea. I had an idea that was meant to create a "deck builders" format as well.
A New Custom Game Mode - Market Melee
As you all know Hearthstone has 5 game modes which exist at this current time:
Play Mode - (Constructed Decks - Collection Based - PVP - both Casual and Competitive - Wild and Standard Card Sets)
Practice Mode - (Constructed Decks - Collection Based - PVE - Casual - Wild Card Set)
Arena Mode - (Semi Random Decks - Draft Based - PVP - Competitive - Standard Card Set)
Tavern Brawl Mode - (Varied Structures for all catagories except that it is always casual)
Battlegrounds Mode - (completely different style of game using the cards we know and love)
These 5 Modes do cover a fairly wide array of options for Game play styles, however I have always thought that Hearthstone could use a game mode which really highlights a player's ability to build creative decks alongside the ability to pilot them.
In short, Market Melee is a month long alternative ladder with a mostly-limited format. It highlights deckbuilding, creativity and deep skill with traditionally undervalued cards.
Format Basics:
Show Spoiler
Market Melee attempts to capture the fun experience of the recent Oktoberbrawl twitch event which allowed players to build a new account in a controlled limited way, while also tying in the challenge of deckbuilding with undervalued cards.
Players would pay an entry fee to begin a Market Madness "Run" (1000g) which lasts for a full season (perhaps there should be a few days turn over like with tavern brawl).
After beginning a run the player would be granted a 400 market gems, plus 10 gems for each day into the season which has passed (so not to punish late starts quite so hard).
Using the gems the player must construct competitive decks by acquiring cards to add to the basic set.
Gems will also be the rewards for winning games - with more rewards given during win streaks.
Matchmaking will be based on ladder position
Deck Construction:
Show Spoiler
The deck construction involves two mechanics: Pack Opening and Card Auction
The player would need to balance their Gem Budget between purchasing and opening packs and purchasing/loaning cards through the auction.
Opening a pack would cost 10 gems.
Card Purchase/Auction values are determined by two factors - card rarity and card usage, with rarity determining base cost and demand modifier.
Legendaries would have a base purchase cost of 100 gems, Epics - 50, Rares - 25, and Common/Basics - 10. The demand modifier is determined by the number of that card set up to be auctioned in a given season and how often it has been purchased.
A card is only available for purchase if at least 1 player has put it up for Auction.
Gems can also be gained by putting obtained cards up for Auction; values earned are 80% of current purchase prices
The more "in-demand" a card is, the higher the demand modifier (aka you pay a premium), if a card is "low-demand" enough, the demand modifier will put the card on "Sale"
All Basic Cards are available for free
Market Packs:
Show Spoiler
The "Market Packs" would be a special type of pack belonging to the "Shopkeeper" and would be game mode specific (the cards are not added to the players collection).
They would contain cards selected from all available cards for the Season (the set of cards available can change from Season to Season - ex} one season wild, one season standard, one season custom etc.)
The packs would contain 5 cards as usual
Rewards:
Show Spoiler
Winning a game earns 1 gem, a win streak gives an addition gem for each win past 2 (3rd win gives 2 gems, 5th gives 4 gems etc.)
Rewards are given in Packs, gold and Dust at seasons end based on Ladder results
Unused/Earned Gems are converted directly to dust at a 1-to-1.
If I were you, I'd make this into a full on forum post. If you want you could also make your own screen shots and such to help display your ideas.
It definitely seems like an interesting, and challenging format that I'd like to try.
Darkshire Alchemist was the first card to use the joke in its flavour text, while Undercity Huckster was the first to use the joke in its quotes. The joke comes from Refreshment Vendor, who most certainly does not give you funnel cakes.
They may have brought it back a little too soon ... And there just so many bugs on mobile, it doesn't feel playable anymore ... ... and they know we have phones ^^
New cards! Since this is the last set for Year of the Dragon and Galakrond's Awakening doean't have any specifics to work with, I figured I'd use this to give Tacticians some Lackey interactions (which I didn't give much attention in the other sets). And Dueling Dragons is a removal card with a lot of RNG, but considering Tactician Galakrond decks I think it fits.
I also decided to reduce Ancient Swipe to 2 damage and 2 Mana so it's not exactly like Seal Fate (which was a dumb oversight on my part). And to Demonxz, I know I made a lot of secrets for Tactician, but I wanted to make sure they had a healthy amount since I'm not planning to make more outside of Year of the Dragon.
I'll probably make some boss battles for Awakening to explain what happened to Nefarian, but I don't know when I'll get around to that.
I haven't played this game, but it certainly is odd how the cards are worded. Writing in this first-third person makes it more verbose, which seems more confusing - why would the design team have chosen to do that? It doesn't always seem to be the case, as well.
It depends. Consider a card like Lucian: if he was HS or MtG, his text would read something like "If any Lucian card has been is in play while a total of either 4 or more friendly minions or 1 friendly Senna died, level it up immediately". Instead, he says "Level Up: I've seen 4+ allies or an allied Senna die". The first person and the verb "seen" make it clear what the criteria is and reinforce the flavor: he's increasing in power to avenge his fallen buddies and/or lover. It also makes it crystal clear to both players: if you play 1 Lucian, then 2 allies die, then the 1st Lucian dies and afterwards you later play a 2nd Lucian, his progression will be at 2/4 because that's exactly how many allies his character has "seen" die. Sure, as CCG aficionados we're so used to the latter that we can mentally parse it and understand it immediately, but remember that they're hoping to lure a lot of LoL players to this game who might not be as fluent in "cardspeak".
Kriziki has wings!
i wonder if kriziki being purple is because lazul used some old god type of magic to give kriziki wings

Galakrond's Awakening : Heroic Guide
I completed most of the bosses with this Mech Paladin Deck. Most of the bosses only took 2-3 tries.
Now for Avalanchan, I had to use my Armor Shudder Shaman to amass a bunch of armor and fatigue the thing.

You think THAT'S weird, both myself and Finley had Rumble Run totems on the last round for absolutely no reason...
Meh, whatever. Got a pack last week, got a pack this week. It's no skin off my balls.
