I'd like to hear from people who participated in closed beta - how close / far from complete collection do you feel it seemed possible to be as f2p, or how much of it can you hope to get with your estimation of time needed.
How did this random Champion in Vaults 10+ in closed beta helped that, and in contrast not having it would hurt collecting cards going forward. Thanks.
Thing is, if I can't get considerably better collection % over HS, which of course had a head start of years getting cards, I don't see myself breaking the time commitment of past for something that doesn't get better elsewhere.
I know there are different factors, enjoying gameplay / deckbuilding in broadest possible sense, but if I see myself enjoying both, this would be the decisive factor.
I wasn't part of closed beta, don't know much about the game, read a few things about it on official page + some videos on yt.
What got me interested, is that as f2p, it seemed (can't know for sure, but from the rhetoric) quite doable to have near complete collection from playing (and not uberfarming). All I see in that huge wall of changes is:
"Random champion card removed from level 10+ Vaults."
And if above it it said:
... we’re also aiming to make Expeditions more accessible for everyone by adding an Expedition Token to level 10 Vaults ...
because of:
Expedition Token added to level 10+ Vaults.
Then it should have said (and is true even without it being explicitly written):
... we’re also aiming to make Champions (most expensive part of deckbuilding / collection completion) LESS accessible for everyone.
We believe you. It's been happening across different formats, and I got a Rotnest Drake from Dragonqueen Alexstrasza last night. It's likely a bug, and I suppose they could address it with a hotfix if they want.
As to the image, there is an icon on the top row of the text editor that looks like this, where you can insert and edit images.
You just need to upload it to Imgur or something to be able to link it.
Didn't have deck tracker on (last game before going to work), but I faced an Elemental Quest mage, that got insane turns... The Animated Avalanche turn was pretty solid for him, since Mountain Giant was the turn before and I couldn't really deal with it (was playing Quest Embiggen Beast Druid, not really that great...), so it was really game breaking.
Embiggen makes minions in deck cost more mana, so I doubt it works unless you're including wisps. And with lack of any aggro based draw in Druid i can't see wisps making the cut.
Title says most of it - there's some great cards being released supporting archtypes that needed a buff. I've really enjoyed the paladin Air Raid card in my homebrew dragon-heal-pure paladin (great vs face hunter) and had some fun with the beast embiggen druid that's currently doing the rounds here and on hearthpwn.
Anybody found a good/fun deck for the new mage elemental or anything else of note from these new additions?
would say zoo.. but the big "High roll" is 2/2 +3/2(Flame Imp) which is only slightly better than Doubling Imp which isn't run.. so unless you really want to add more draw to get galakround more consistently I don't think it's that great.
While on the subject of LoR features - just noticed there's a chunk of achievements linked specifically to HS (deckbuilding, commenting on HS decks, etc.) - I assume it's already on your list, but just in case, it'd be worth extending this to LoR as well (or creating a separate chunk for them too).
I don't really care for achievements, personally, but I'm sure there's plenty of people who do!
Nice work putting this together. I wasn't aware there was a deck tracker, although it being made by Mobalytics makes me hesitant (they tend to be pretty amateurish about things in my opinion; their resources for TFT are woefully ill-informed). Still, might be worth a punt if it correctly interfaces with Expeditions.
Trouble is, while Demacia's Allegiance card is good, it's also the only region (possibly excepting Freljord) that has enough decent, splashable cards to really consider going monotype. The keyword doesn't even need any support - all it needs is more cards to be released before it gets stronger. It does feel like something of a potential balance ticking-time-bomb...
Note that only those who’ve pre-registered on PC (not mobile) will get access on 1/23. If you’ve only pre-registered on mobile, you’ll need to also do so on PC at https://playruneterra.com in order to get access on 1/23.
I think monthly seasons are unlikely, but I'm purely basing that on their approach to League and TFT. For League, a second is an annual thing with a midseason break and two pre-season periods - this is to tie-in to League's professional scene, so I'm not expecting this to be a huge influence on LoR, but it's still something a decent chunk of the LoR player-base will be used to.
TFT has an entirely different approach which seems to be based on 'sets', with seasons essentially lasting the duration of a set. This isn't tied to any particular event, and is presumably just linked to Rito's new content and when they want to release it. As such, I can certainly see LoR following that trend.
Rito definitely trend towards longer seasons, though, because they like the investment that gradual progression between the varying tiers gives. A monthly season is enough for HS because you're mostly just looking at specific barriers (15, 10, 5, L) and the individual ranks between them don't matter all that much. When you're looking at Bronze-Challenger, you'll find people care a lot more - people feel a lot better about being, say, Gold I than Gold IV.
But, as noted in the other responses, this is all just conjecture and extrapolation from what we have. In the end, we don't know yet.

Just got The Amazing Reno from Blink Fox. Think it's a bug or rather an oversight.
Getting Started with Legends of Runeterra - Riot's New Card Game
What cards/decks do you start with? I realize this may be impacted based on the region(s?) you choose.
Can I play the tutorial and/or the AI in the beginning to acquire cards/wildcards or do I need to jump into multiplayer?
I apologize if this was explained above and I missed it : /
Mobalytics Deck Tracker
Yep,I think we need to wait to be able to start the game
New Druid Minion - Winged Guardian
This card is bonkers. Lots of value, and as others have pointed out, nuts with Witching Hour. I'm guessing Hadronox will love it in wild, too.

New BOMB Warrior
Here is my take on Bomb Warrior. I feel your list is clunky and trying too many things.
There's probably more room to optimize it.

My interest dropped 50%, nice start of open beta.

Thank you for your time and effort! Gonna try out both of your deck, can't wait to start playing today. See you in runeterra mate! :D

Galakrond's awakening cards
Looks like cards from Galakrond's awakening are playable.
I just played a game now in the tavern brawl against the first boss. He played a portal and got a Chaos Gazer .
Are cards not unlocked supposed to be already playable and out in the game?
Did someone else had this kind of game? Also can someone tell me how to show an image here? I have a screen shot of it
Mobalytics Deck Tracker
I have downloaded / launched the tracker installator
An Icon appears on the desktop, but nothing happens when I try to launch it ... should I wait that the game starts to see something appearing ? Thanks
Some Advices for 1st Day and Week of Open Beta
Thanks a lot - this answers to several questions I had :)
A few more:
- is there a limit / expiration date for wildcards or can I collect as many I want and keep until I am ready to use?
- which champions do you think are the best (and the worst, in addition for Teemo)?
- will "vaults" expire ? (i.e. if I cannot connect on tuesday, can i open it later in the week?)
Thanks
Any new decks/archtypes coming from new cards?

Next turn played a 1 mana Mana Giant plus Flamestrike and SMORCed me badly.
All this by turn 8, so... Strong AF, but IMO really draw dependant, he played 2 Arcane Intellect and that gave him the ability to play Mountain Giant, plus turn 4 Sorcerer's Apprentice + Coin + AI + [Hearthstone Card (Elemental Invocation) Not Found] + Magic Trick + Arcane Missiles + Elemental Allies + Mana Cyclone...
I'm gonna try that deck when I get home.

Luckily I just remembered I also registered on my PC. It's a bummer, I really wanted to play while away from my PC.

LoR will not be out on mobile devices until later this year, according to various dev updates previously.
New Priest Minion - Aeon Reaver
I think Big Game Hunter is a fair comparison to this card. He costs one less and can bypass divine shield, but this guy can take out a 6/6 or 5/5.
