That Highlander Rogue got me to Legend this season. Very fun yet incredibly consistent, even though it condenses so many different packages (Highlander, Galakrond, Lackey, Burgle, Deathrattle and OG Tempo).
I highly recommend it if you have most of the cards.
Are two invoke cards really enough to run the Galakrond package?
I think most highlander G rogue runs 4 invoke cards, including the 2 neutral ones. You can also play Spirit of the Shark for double invokes. But from my own experience, you rarely need Galakrond at max for it to make an impact. Most of the time drawing two cards from Galakrond is good enough, if the match isn't already over by then.

The Ingame Chat does not work as it used to - i cannot say anything i write and as soon as i click on someones text to see the message it shuts down ...
Second bug is usually at the start of a game - i start a game and hearthstone shuts down and i have to restart and hope the rope isn't running :) - this one happens more often the last few weeks
And since you may be wondering: Galakrond Shaman is still the best that the class has to offer, although it's far from the beast it used to be. Those seemingly small nerfs turned out to have an impact after all.
I am far from convinced. Let's talk again next weekend, after the new season starts and all the people who were dominating ladder pre-patch have incentive to try again. My theory is that this archetype just needs a little refinement to survive this new meta's newfound love of aggro, and then we're off to races again. Let's face it: between heals, AoEs, and Hex, Shaman has a TON of tech options at their disposal that they've barely begun to scratch.
Shamans always had alot of tech cards at their disposal, but as most tech cards tend to do, it drops your consistency.
One of the reasons why Galakrond shaman (no quest) was as good as it is was because it played virtually no tech cards but was able to overrun almost all decks on curve.
Add in removal, AoEs, and heals and thats some cards drawn that does nothing for some matches. With Shaman's draw being as shit as it is, that's why the highest win rate deck for Shaman has no Hex in it.

The deck only suffers to priests and warrior, and only because they can match hunter's hero power. Rogues and warlock have to draw like insane hands to beat this.

Moreover, Year of the Dragon's decks haven't been really cheap for most of the part (except stuff like RoS Mech and Midrange Hunter, DoD Face Hunter and literally a couple more).

I've gone ahead and disabled ads for now. We were using tech from Google called "auto ads" and we've reached the limit of how many areas of the site I'm able to blacklist and that didn't help ads not display in comments or inside of some posts. The way forward will be to manually add the ad units exactly where we do want them. It was an experiment and an easy way to get ads on the site which didn't really work out in the end.
I'm making it my target to get ads back on the site within 24 hours so we don't lose too much revenue. December is one of the best times of the year for ads since you can pretty easily earn double the income from them (yay higher advertiser budgets) so it would be a shame to miss out on it for too long.
After playing the game for a year you will count yourself lucky to get 2 points on the tree a month. I just hate everything about the whole reward tree concept.
That is completely untrue, I'm not sure how it was in the past (and some people had issues with it), but right now, 1. Each "round" victory gives you a crown (each game consists of 3 rounds, bo3) 2. For each 6 rounds you win every day, then 12 rounds after that. And, then 24 rounds after that You get (2-2-1) rp. 3. While, the reward points do decrease, they are still plenty, I've been playing for 150 hours already, and I've been getting plenty of reward points, through contracts, and levelling up, which becomes easier everytime you reach level 60, as it resets, you get a bonus, and it repeats.
Each rp corresponds to 50/66/75 ore (pack paying currency, each pack is 100 ore and gives you 5 cards, the fifth you can pick 1 out of 3 cards at least rare), depends on how you're using it, and that's not counting even the daily quests.
It feels like lots of people has tried this game in the past, in beta/start of homecoming? but now it is much more balanced, and has changed a plenty since then. Plenty of beta/homecoming players have returned since then.
If my deck is not favorable against your deck, and we both play perfectly, then I will lose every single time and there is nothing I can do about it.
That is theoretically true, however, it depends on playing "perfectly". Look at chess, it has the same argument, but like 99% do not play perfectly. In gwent, there are many layers of skill, you need to learn when to pass, when to bleed, to predict opponent cards, etc... Actually, I've managed to beat many decks that should've "beaten" me, because I outplayed them. This feels much much more satisfying than just winning because of "luck". And, sure you might get lucky and beat a superior deck, but the chance of them beating you (by luck as well) is much larger. But more importantly, deck building contributes largely against this issue, okay sure, you keep facing a deck that is consistently beating you. Just put in a few cards that tech about it, switch around your deck, plan around the meta, etc... I find this so accessible, and requires different skills on top of it.
