Feels weird to say, but I'm not sure if Sea Giant is great in this deck. You usually don't start doing things until turn 3, and I haven't been able to swarm the board fast enough to get him out consistently. Not sure if I agree that Jumbo Imp is the right replacement, but unless we go into a more token-based meta I'd strongly consider cutting it.
Yea, I've noticed this too. It shows over card mechanics, like Taunt or Battlecry. Dunno what may cause it and I was also wondering if it happened to everybody.
One of my friends has this problem. It is usually only there for a moment and then it goes away after he hovers on the card enough times.
Yeah it isn't a huge issue, I've been playing this game for over 5 years so I know what the cards do anyway, it's just a bit annoying when those pink lines show up. Maybe advise him to update his drivers, that seems to have sorted the problem for me.
Can't help but feel way too many players don't want balance patches to balance out the game, but more that they don't like any of the decks currently on top and/or are bored with the meta (imagine that with still a fairly new meta) and just want to nerf everything on top to reset the entire meta.
Now I do agree that it is easy to see shaman had/has things that are too overtuned and would become a problem unless addressed, but wanting things like rogue nerfed too when it isn't even the top deck just really sounds like people are wanting nerfs to be used in a way that they aren't meant to be used (ie a whole meta reset).
I think Murlocs dominate. The only tribe that can get widespread poison, even if divine shielding it is trickier.
I hate that Amalgam.is gone while acknowledging the necessity. I fear commiting to a strategy only for that tribd to dry up (if you ever got any at all having commited with hero choice... Jaraxxus getting no demons is not fun.)
Nope. I played Zephrys at 0 mana multiple times and not ONCE has he offered me a silence for the Apothecary. I suspect it has something to do with the deathrattle coming from the combo effect. Similar results with Hex and Earth Shock, even when it was the ONLY minion on board
I'm actually going to be updating the crafting guide for standard this week! I had been waiting for nerfs to hit before creating a post for it. I was going to focus on Legendaries, but is the consensus that knowing good Epics is important too?
Yes please! It was one of my favorite threads back in the day, and I'd really be glad to see it again.
So has anyone else seen the graphics glitch where keywords on cards will look like they've been roughly crossed out with pink marker? And is there any way to fix it? PC issue btw.
im really scare about the mogu "nerf", it's price will still be reduced and it just means that now they can evolve into a 10 mana minion
For those claiming we won't see big Mogu evolves, I've already seen Turn 5 Deathwing from a shaman in wild. And I think he played standard cards to that point.
I'm not sure you can do this kind of "analytics" with the methodology you briefly describe. Mainly because cards aren't created in a vacuum and the stronger cards tend to be highly synergistic with strong decks and/or in relations to standing/future "counter-cards", regardless of their overall "face strength".
To use your example:
Dragon's Pack is a spell, so can be stopped entirely by Counterspell. Scion of Ruin has no such "total" counter.
Additionally, Scion being a dragon means you have an innate tribal synergy (think of all the "if you're holding a dragon" cards or War Master Voone for examples) that you don't account for in your "EV." Also, Dragon Pack synergizes with the Evoke mechanic ONLY, whereas Scion can also synergize with the playing of Galakrond itself - i.e. be drawn/given +4/+4 so then you get three 7/6s with rush for 3 mana.
So to say that the Pack is "1.5 EV stronger" is based on an incomplete methodology.
You're right, but I'm considering the cards as standalones. I'm not taking in consideration synergies or counters.
I've compared 2 cards with the same condition to make a comparasion of their "vanilla" value. I would like to put the focus on the card itself and not on the possible interaction between other cards.
If you're comparing their "vanilla" value, Dragon's Pack costs (1) more than Saronite Chain Gang for the same stats, and is clearly the worse card.
You can't consider the Invoke cards for Dragon's Pack and not the myriad synergies for the other cards; I'm sure you'll still find that Dragon's Pack is overtuned, but it's a disingenuous comparison as it stands.
Even just between Dragon's Pack and Scion of Ruin, you have to consider the other variables surrounding them - cards in a vacuum mean nothing. Dragon's Pack is in the class with the strongest Invoke effect and Invokers, but Scion of Ruin gives you Dragon synergies, Handbuff synergies, Rush synergies etc. Even just Rush vs Taunt is important.

Countarrred! - Wild dragon priest teched against pirates and burn
Against big priest, find Kharrj and try to play the most aggressive game of Curvestone you can. Against jade, steal an idol with SECRET AGENT.
You are unfavored, as you will be with anything that is not your prey, but you have outs.
Alright, this was unexpected. I've gone up against jades, and you feel slightly favored. Weird.

Seems like a very cool idea mixing buffs with the recruits ! Does it work well tho?

Hey there! Seems very cool, but how does it go against slower decks as ...idk big priest/ jade druid? :)
