Hooray. I finally got to choose my Level 100 hero. I've been idly trying for the past two weeks, so I chose the wrong one by accident, heh. But, well, only two more to go.
Theoretically, a fair amount of players will have no level 100 heroes left to choose after the next expansion cycle - part of me doubts Blizzard will cook up a replacement, but it'd be neat if they did.
Shouldn't they let us unlock the DK via the prologue before the expansion starts itself? I mean, didn't they did this with dhunter? So on 6 Dec itself we'll all be scrambling to play the prologue instead of any new decks. Its not like we have tons to do before the expansion starts anyway.
Zeddy confirmed in this video that the tavern pass has the same value as previous ones.
But we should be seeing more events like the DK and Winter veil ones that should*** give us more rewards to make up for the new class.
Yeah i saw that one yesterday, but i forgot to edit this comment. Whoops, my bad. But yeah i'm also guessing that were going to see more of these events, which i really like. The events are fun, easy to complete and give nice goodies. These events kinda remind me of the "extra EXP earned by playing during events" kinda thing they originally were planning in the first rewards track, but reworked as something a lot more fun. (And independant of the rewards track)
I got 7, 3 and 7 wins and am on a 8-1 run now. It definitely helps to now all the older cards!
As someone who has been playing since open beta continously, this is quite a throwback!
It's incredibly refreshing to see former powerhouses shine again (Ragnaros the Firelord, Dr. Boom, North Sea Kraken) and all the forgotten mech synergies being playable again, e.g. Spareparts.
They look nice. But obtaining them is going to be hard. I started a month before Un'Goro and have a few cards from the earlier sets. Mainly to allow crafting cards from them as I play wild a lot.
Yes, but point of that deck (as showcased by Hooglandia some hours ago) is that it's also good as a control deck given the various effects the Stones give. So the deck could find it's way to work as a control deck with an extra-punch in case you mange to play all the stones.
Regardless of that, if I see it in the token shop I'll insta-buy it not because I find it good, but because it's fucking awesome.
I suppose there is one other change to bring up (I've added the relevant lines too) - Lor'themar Theron also becoming a Golden Uncraftable on the Tavern Pass. Previously (Denathrius, Faelin) those were disenchantable and craftable Goldens that could be found in packs early, hence the need for having that dust refund window at the start of expansions. I suppose that's their solution for not having to (what with redundant card handling not including non-disenchantable copies).
I was already seeing an occasional Pool 3 card even when at low levels of CL 400+, and it actually hasn't been that scary at 500 CL and above ever since. Most opponents I face hardly seem to have many Series 3 cards at their disposal, either.
Hey there, thanks for reaching out to me for some explanations. I am going to answer to both yours and Mountaineer's comments in a single go - buckle up!
See, this patch played out a little differently than usual: in fact, we knew a lot of content was coming, so we all prepared to take one or two pieces to make the content flow steadily. However, later in the daynight we realized that nobody took care of the actual patch notes article! By the time we realized it, we thought it was too late because we already posted 4 articles, so we just let it slide.
This should not come out as an excuse, but rather as an explanation of why things played out this way with patch 25.0. We discussed the matter internally and we concluded that, in the future, we'll try our best to open with a full notes article like we did in previous iterations - sorry about the disservice!
As for bugs/game improvements, a dedicated article is on the way: however, we deemed this content to not be as pressing as other updates, so we opted for letting it simmer for a bit more time. Therefore, bugs/game improvements going live is a matter of "when" rather than "if". We also took some time to verify that some of the bugs were really solved.
Finally, I want to address the communication side of the two comments: this is actually something I deeply care about, so I don't want to miss the occasion to point out my thoughts.
Nebuchadnezzar, your post was not perceived as an imposition or as a critique to our work: you asked for explanations in a positive and constructive way, pointing out facts while not being a jerk - we do appreciate users like you and we encourage suggestions from our community!
All 18 New Signature Hearthstone Cards and Their Alternative Artwork for March of the Lich King
Nope: just a fancy alternative frame, artwork, and filter. Still, some of them are pretty cool lookin' :)
Just a Hallucination
The final TB before the DK drops! Is this to imply that we're mass-hallucinating the release of the Death Knight class? >_>

So, the Signature cards aren't animated, are they?

New Warlock Spell - Twisted Tether
Cheaper than Siphon Soul, more accurate than Plague of Flames, and buffs something in your hand... This is awesome spot removal
New Warlock Spell - Shallow Grave
Dinomancer Warlock has a new friend
Just a Hallucination
Indeed, the random class spells hurt; 30x Hallucinations would be preferred

Look at those cute hot dogs! Lunchbox is a new favorite.
Disappointing and strange that they didn't craft a new cardback for April, though.
