The issue is that it competes with the billion other really good low cost spells rogue has. It will take good deck building to find a good middle ground between spells that actually do things, and ones that just draw.

I don't know, I'm in the middle. But I can tell you that then (when accidentally shown during Showmatch streams) and now, some people seem to believe it's a great pick, and others go for 'eh, merely okay'. Probably depends how much one values a single point of damage and a cycle (Miracle Rogue just might). 

That is one hell of a reveal.

Ooo... Now we get to chose the concoctions we are getting, which is probably one of the better concoctions generator - if not THE best - in a perfectly flavored rogue devices : Pick your poison!

Decent effect on a pretty standard 1 drop - nothing exciting about the stats or size - but depending on how viable the concoctions might be, I'm thinking that this should at least see play, as after all, it does give you something more than just a mediocre board presence!

Sometimes, problems can be solved by throwing everything you've got at it. This is not one of those times.

Their choices for Diamond cards are often strange to me. Lor'themar Theron, for instance - how many people will be successfully playing him? It isn't a great card, and if it were it'd be a niche card.

I think the most often played cards should be Diamond. That in mind, it'd be fun if the Diamond card were decided AFTER the expansion launch - imagine a Horde V Alliance sort of event to decide which legendary gets the Diamond treatment.

The art cycle for Standard could make that difficult, granted, but perhaps it could work for Diamondizing Wild cards?

Playing non comital decks that say simple cycle with every card but don't present valid wincons are bad

Not only because they can be countered by a single card, but because playing them actually degrades your ability to be a good player

Well because your deck isn't doing anything, it is in fact exceptional in it's ability to do nothing.

It presents zero wincons, it has zero answers, it has zero alternate approaches to play, it is in fact a gaping hole an absence of play.

The same thing can be said about playing an elusive good stuff deck.

Long story short try to brew decks that actually accomplish a set objective, it will make you a better player.

One of the most bizzare cards to ever be printed.

Because Im still scratching my head as to why anyone would play this card over Illidari Inquisitor, or any of the big demons for that matter. Certainly weaker than all of them.

The only redeeming feature of this card is that it'll probably do some damage before going down, about 4-7 damage, probably 6 on average because 9 health is an awful lot of health to shave off without killing this thing. But then again, if you are playing this card you'll need as much help as you can get. The card certainly isn't looking to do you any favors.

I'll be honest, if team5 had concealed this card and revealed the others, the concoctions would be a shoe-in for the lady liadrin award of this expansion.

Because all of them are shit...until you have this card in hand. Even at its baseline you'll cheat out one concoction, and then with Shadowstep you get another one out completely for free, making a mixed concoction that can then be played immediately on 3. Along with slimy concoction you can build boards out of nowhere really early, which is the power play this archetype really needs.

Alongside with Potion Belt you can contrive this two cards into just about any deck and be somewhat successful with it. Wont be too surprised at seeing its high mulligan win rate.

Probably useless. Because Potion Belt completely renders this card redundant. And if that isn't painful enough, even Concoctor makes more sense than this card.

Unless youre going full concoctions this card is just a pass, a massive shit that needs flushing.
