You are welcome :) I figured it would be a good idea to explain who the heck this Medivh guy is and why he's throwing such a crazy party. Turns out he's really lonely and we are there to cheer him up as well as rescue him from a magical portal, lol. Most of the bosses are random enchanted stuff that fits the flavor of the raid and dungeon, but isn't really based off of much.
Also regarding the playrate of Combo Priest- it's kinda hard to judge because different websites will show different numbers with the data they each have available. Personally I felt that I encountered it reasonably often and that it's one of, if not the best, decks in the current meta, which is why I decided to focus on it for last week's article!
A lot of good suggestions! The changes you suggested all sound very reasonable. I appreciate you taking the time and thought to leave your comment, and acknowledge that I'm not a perfect deckbuilder. As is the case with brainstorming, a lot of my first ideas will turn out to be not so great. I do believe in the power of continual revision in deckbuilding and think there is always room for improvement, just like with a piece of writing, so I really appreciate your constructive criticism. If I get a chance I'll try out your suggested changes (although I'm currently working on this week's article hehe). I sincerely hope you leave a comment with a similar level of criticism on my next piece when it comes out! :)
Actually, Zephrys wouldn't be a bad inclusion, you have so many ways to pull a bunch of cards out of your deck that he would trigger pretty consistently.
Is there a location on the site to access all of the Uldum solo adventure chapter guides without going through the archives/news links? Im looking at the top drop down menu and see Guides, but dont see anything about solo adventures. The guides for 3-5 displaying all the hero powers and cards is great. Now I have to sift through and look for 1 and 2.
Thanks
--edit: I should mention that it would also be nice to have links from within each Chapter guide to the other guides. Esp now that they are all released. Looking at the guide for chapters 4 and 5, I cannot navigate to 1-3.
--edit2: Also, I do see the Dallaran Heist guide so maybe Im just being impatient day 1 and looking for all the info while it may not be ready?
I see: Expansions--> Adventures and More --> and then a couple of guides there. Perhaps in the coming days one will be created?
I wish they would bring back the "pick a champion" thing they used to do. It is nice to have a way to root for specific competitors and feel involved for those of us who can't use/watch twitch due to various reasons.
I love these holiday events. Can't wait for this years festivities to start. October is going to be a grand month between this and the rest of the solo content unlocking today.
I'm not sure where else to post this, so I'll do so here: While I did find the final two chapters enjoyable, they were far from challenging, and I found the ending very anticlimactic. (SPOILERS BELOW)
Icarax itself seems ironically much more tame of a fight than the other Plague Lords, so I think they did themselves a disservice by making it the semi-final boss. Aside from that, the Tekahn fight was the biggest disappointment of all, because everything from the difficulty to even the presentation felt unimpressive. This is a final boss with recycled artwork from a collectible card, no alternate art for different phases, only a small cameo from the frequently-mentioned and anticipated Rafaam (their evil partner), and it's essentially just another Plague Lord. Not only that, but the resolution after the fight feels really sorry. Rafaam is simply gone, we see more (albeit very well-made) recycled artwork and we're told (not shown) Dalaran is also just gone! Shows over! Come back in a few months!
I apologize if this comes across as bitter or ungrateful; I mean only to sound disappointed, because I'd anticipated a big battle setting up the final chapter of The Year of the Dragon's story. The end of Tombs of Terror was not at all bad, but it was only passable for me. Hopefully, Blizzard gave us a good-enough adventure this time so that they can focus their efforts into really wowing us with the finale.
@ the OP, I don’t think you have anything to worry about. Not only is quest Druid not too strong by your own admission, it also has very clear counters. Notably it gets its teeth kicked in by any aggro deck that can snowball their board, such as Zoo, Tempo Warrior and DS/IF Priest.
Also as another user pointed out, there’s quite a bit of deck variety between Quest Druid lists. There’s the faster more token oriented versions running power of the wild and tending tauren, the control/fatigue lists with Nomi and Elise, and the Malygos combo variants. May players such as myself are also running lists with only a few duplicates so that Zephyrs and Elise can be active in the mid game. Frankly saying that Quest Druid decks include too many choose one cards is as rediculous as saying there are too many battlecry minions in Quest Shaman.
I was actually thinking about this not too long ago, though it was more focused on cards. The idea being when we mentioned a card in a significant way, we could pair that card up with the news post to display relevant content on the card pages, below all the current stuff. Doing something similar for decks could work out in the same way, though it would be more of a rarity to see which could be odd.
I haven't played Overwatch in a hot minute and definitely suck at Genji but damn... that is such an unfair skin! It makes me wish Heroes of the Storm wasn't such a C-tier game.
I really hope we get some amazing Overwatch announcements at this year's BlizzCon. The rumor is some kind of large expansion or "Overwatch 2" so if its anywhere near that big it should be exciting. I'd love to play the game again, even if just for a month or two, but there hasn't been anything that has given me the desire to do so. There are too many good games out there to play these days, including Borderlands 3 which I am nowhere near finished and need to find some more time to sink into it.
Yeah, as someone who plays all of Blizzard's titles, though some definitely not very often, the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket always excites me. Honestly though, I'd drop $50 on it just for the WoW cosmetics this time around because HELL YES I WANT TO BE A YETI!
It has been a really good year for Hearthstone! I keep hearing its only going to get better and so far, that has held true. The game is in some amazing hands now, it's just a shame it took so long for it to happen. Now if only we could reduce the amount of money everyone needed to spend on it to get full enjoyment / feel competitive. That is going to be one of their biggest hurdles.
You'll get the rewards if you have a physical ticket. I think physical ticket holders even get VOD access for watching panels they missed after the con.
This year has blessed us with free legendaries so far: both Archmage Vargoth and SN1P-SN4P are definitely playable and really good. I'm really excited to see what will be the next one.
The quest is not interactive and is akin to a boulder going downhill once complete. It's about as creative as DK Malfurion, and they already had the same effect on a legendary minion...
Traversing Azeroth - The Tower of Karazhan
Excellent idea. I too would like to see the class extend further beyond demons. They are really cool, but getting just a bit old for me right now.

As someone who is not much into WoW Lore, I thank you for this article that is 99% new to me. Good read.

Traversing Azeroth - The Tower of Karazhan
Ahh, the good ol' soul-related magic.
I wish Warlock was more developed on that side (Corruption Warlock of WoW), instead of mostly Fat Demons and Zoo.
That could also fit a small set of Warlock Secrets, themed around Haunted souls or stuff like that...
Chapter 4 & 5 of Tombs of Terror Unlock Today!
What a disappointment, one-shotted both Bosses, for the second one, i did not even use elise.
:(

Everything looks really nice. People that buys this will definitelly get something good wichever game they play.

Chapter 4 & 5 of Tombs of Terror Unlock Today!
In the end I really liked the finale. It felt easy, but really well though.
*SPOILER WARNING AFTER THIS*
All you progress tranfer to this final fight with each explorer bringing their own treasures to the mix.
In the end I got 4 plaguelords with finley, 3 with elise and 3 with Reno, (didnt use brann yet).
The final phase felt nice. (couldnt test the second one as I just dealt enough damage to go from 218 to 97 in a turn)
*SPOILER WARNING OVER*
I really desire to see how this trilogy will end.
