  • Is the Quest bad for Druid?

quest druid will probably remain the best standard (and wild) deck for druid for a while

Well standard maybe, but surely not wild :P

Maybe Jade Druid or combo druid (choose you the combo you like most), but surely not quest. Sure you can play it, but wild is a different world and you would play it very different then standard....

Except wild Jade druid uses the quest (at least I saw not one without the quest) because it turns your Jade Idols into Summon a Jade golem and shuffle three copies of this into your deck.

It can be good but surely the quest isn't mandatory in jade druid. The meta you are in matters a lot: against the wrong deck the quest works against you. In a meta full of control cards, the more power given by the quest hero power is good. In an aggro one missing turn 1 isn't good, and leaving board control and/or healing for value isn't good again. Against aggro, you should play jade idol for tempo. Expecially if you have it at turn 1. And the game will be over before you have lost tempo not spending mana. I'm not saying that the quest isn't strong, I say that in the match jade druid vs aggro deck is almost useless.

I don't play the quest, I wouldn't play it, and on VS meta report the jade druid list doesn't play the quest.

  • October has Arrived! New Season, New Darkmoon Faire Card Back

I loved visiting Darkmoon Faire from time to time! The place was quite a lot of fun and also the E.T.C. concerts made it even better. Lovely place to just chill out.

  • The Darkness: is it worth it?

Thank you guys, you saved me 1600 dust. :D

I guess i'll try the Bloodstinger again (it was an earlier inclusion), or i guess i'll simply stick with Shieldbreaker against turtling decks.

That's a NICE card back. Nowhere near "$50 nice", but for people who were buying the ticket anyways know that I'm jealous of you getting it :)

    Cardback is neat.

Looks like a further possible hint to a real Dragon expansion.

  • Chapter 4 & 5 of Tombs of Terror Unlock Today!

Just finished wing 4, and ive got to say that the warrior/ hunter combo is the one that ive enjoyed the most. There are some pretty disgusting things that you can do with rush minions (akali pulling a direfrenzied scalehide is a thing of beauty), and the enrage mechanic leads to some bloodlust-esque damage from seemingly innocuous boards. If you are offered Gahzrilla and he wont completely screw the synergies on your deck, pick him, you wont regret it.

  • Chapter 4 & 5 of Tombs of Terror Unlock Today!

the finale was a bit...underwhelming...like I just picked Finley with the Murloc Hero power because I had no idea how it was gonna work...and I just steamrolled the boss. I hope it's a bit more challenging on Heroic.

That being said, I'm legitimately excited for the next expansion and how the story wraps up. Will definitely get the adventure, although I'm not sure if I'll committ my gold to it.

I have a tendency to prefer decks with a wide variety of cards, so I can cover a wide variety of situations better; I don't know any other way!

The WoW transmog outfit is the most exciting thing for me. I hope the Hearthstone card is at least super fun.

  • The Darkness: is it worth it?

The Darkness is awful. Trust me, I had the misfortune of opening one. While the idea of shutting down Reno-synergies might sound appealing, if that's literally all the card does (you never draw the third candle, ever) it's not a very efficient way to spend four mana. I'd consider Hakkar over The Darkness as a neutral Reno-foil; at least it hoses Nomis and other draw-intensive decks as well. I'd even consider Seaforium Bomber + Augmented Elekk in this role, because if nothing else you're getting solid stats for your mana.

In case I wasn't clear, The Darkness is really really terrible. Avoid like the plague.

I second Avalon's recommendation of Wild Bloodstinger. If you want a way to nullify their Reno Jackson without losing too much tempo and/or not hurting your other matchups severely then that card is by far the best (and probably the only) option.

Tempo decks are generally unfavored against slow decks like reno because they can't pressure them hard enough early on. So even with a good tech you will still be fighting an uphill battle. Also, the only way you can have somewhat of a chance to win the late game agains them is with the inclusion of Deathstalker Rexxar.

Not too sure about the idea of running a secret hunter list when nearly every deck is slotting in anti-secret tech because they're allergic to secret mages.

Why are you running Eater of Secrets over Flare though? I'm not too sure secret tech is even necessary at this point with the lowered playrate of mage, but in a tempo deck 2 mana draw a card is less of a tempo loss than a 2 mana 2/4.

  • List "mentions" of a deck

There will be a "subscribe" option in the future for most of the content on the site and you will be able to get to it easilly and get notifications etc. Sadly, for now you only get notified when someone directly responds to your comment or if they respond in a thread/deck you yourself created. We know its not enough, but have to prioritize the work load. But be sure this will be a thing ;-)

For now, i suggest saving the deck's page into your browser's favourites and check it ever so often for new comments.

  • The Darkness: is it worth it?

nah, the card is just too bad. Even if you ran into only Reno decks it would still only pay off a fraction of the times at which point you're usually better off with a regular sm0rc strategy.

This is a prime case of: "works on paper but not in practice"

  • The Darkness: is it worth it?

If you already owned the darkness I would say go ahead and try it out, but I would never craft the card just so you can test it as a tech against a single archetype. It is un-reliable because you have to 1. draw the darkness at just the right time, 2. they don't draw the candles, 3. they haven't already played reno, and 4. they need to play reno right now.

The darkness is just utterly worthless against everything except for reno decks, and it won't even be useful in every game against reno decks. Most of the time it will hurt more than it will save.

    Next Art:

Make it a Mage or Warlock Legendary minion

  • The Darkness: is it worth it?

If you want to mess with Reno decks as a Hunter you can try Wild Bloodstinger: if you use it properly it will rarely backfire and you'll gain a lot of tempo.

  • Elemental Control Shaman

I managed to beat a control warrior with this deck in overtime (he conceded).  Fun deck!

  • The Darkness: is it worth it?

The Darkness is a tech against Reno decks and against plot twist warlock or similar draw-a-lot-lock.

It's good against them ONLY if they have a very bad starting curve, or in the late turns when you can play the darkness and something else togheter.

Actually, as you are an aggro deck (I like even hunter, I have my version too) your first way to kill reno deck should be SMORC. This means that you either find and play the darkess in time, or it will be almost useless (you would win without him or they would have already played Reno). But as now there exist Zephyrs too, and other cards depending on the class chosen, I think that if you are REALLY surrounded by highlander decks you can try the darkness and see what happens.

  • Here's some art, make a card! [Legacy Game]

Based the idea off of the art and having a lone minion on the board.

Next up, a 10-cost epic spell for Priest.
