The deck wins by hitting the opponent in the face, hence I put it in Aggro.
That's true for Conjurer Mage as well. But Conjurer Mage is no Aggro.
And I disagree also on defining old Spiteful Druid or Priest as Aggro. Because they were not as Aggro as real Aggro.
Old Pirate Warrior is Aggro. Current Tempo Rogue is Aggro. Odd Paladin tends to be Aggro. All these decks are way faster than the current iterations of Highlander Hunter and old iterations of Spiteful decks.
Playing wow for the first time! I just wanted to experience the crowded servers, building community and explore the world. Maybe even encounter some characters from HS, that i love!
I picked an ork warrior but i allready regret being mele... Can‘t reach the boars quickly enough.
I doubt i ever will get to the point of playing raids and stuff but who knows
I don't know if you're playing classic or retail, but in any case, warrior is notoriously slow to level so it's not a good beginner pick. If you don't think you'll get far into the game as warrior, know that you can try other classes
Warrior is top dog though in Classic which is a great carrot for when things get tough with the class =)
I think it was just the timing. It would be weird to nerf the #2 and #3 classes/decks but not the #1, albeit Pocket and Boom are a lot more "toxic" than extra arms was on the meta.
This is extremely short-sighted to say that combo priest was the #1 deck. One or two weeks does not indicate long term performance. Mage and Warrior were in the top two spots for a LONG time. To say that they were #2 and #3 is just not true. Combo priest was far too new to say anything definitive about it; and definitely WAY too soon to say it was going to be better than Mage and Warrior
Priest was the best deck so far, that could have changed from meta warping around it but that doesn't mean the deck wouldn't need a nerf. Priest was the best performer on ladder and tournament play and it had a better matchup spread than warrior and mage.
The new combo priest wasn't around any longer than reno mage was. Luna's pocket galaxy might have dodged a nerf if cyclone mage was still the only mage deck, highlander mage is what made it broken to the point of no return.
*puts tinfoil hat on* Is it possible that Team 5 decided to nerf Extra Arms instead of Nortshire or Divine Spirit or something else because they want to show that the buffs were not successful (along with Pocket Galaxy) so that they don't have to do them again, at least not any time soon? I'm just paranoid, right?
Yeah, I think that is just paranoia. They don't want to nerf Divine Spirit because it's one of if not priests only viable win condition competitively and Northshire is a card that carries most priest archetypes on its back. If they were to nerf/HOF these basic set cards they would be killing priest without providing adequate replacements and those replacements are going to take time to test. I don't think they even expected combo priest to be as good as it was so the easiest and quickest way to fix it was to revert the snowbally card they just buffed.
didn't stop them from killing Druid's core cards with RR patch and only now sstarting to actually build the class back up again without it. They never had a problem with completely eviscerating a class for a long period of time with the goal of overall balance.
If anything, this might indicate that Divine Spirit will be targetted at the end of the year when the old sets rotates and they have a better foundation to "rework" the Priest class (like it's happening now with Druid)
because Priest's class identity is having only broken win conditions and gettng their successful decks nerfed whenever they pop up.
Divine Spirit is totally fine btw, not at all the root of the problem. Clearly, Blizzard is doing the 500 IQ galaxy brain plays when they completely revert their policy on trying to fix underlying issues with the Basic/Classic set and instead just bandaid fix the deck by kneecapping cards that are barely out for one expansion.
Glad you liked the article! I concede your point that it may not fit perfectly into Rock-Aggro. But I’m trying to feature meta viable decks within 3 archetypes (midrange being a hybrid of a few for sure) and this one has been dominant. It reminds me of Spiteful Summoner Druid, which I would also say is more aggro than anything else in spite of Ultimate Infestation. There are versions of the deck with Leeroy. There are versions with faster curves and mech combos. The deck wins by hitting the opponent in the face, hence I put it in Aggro.

I think the mage players all have moved to murloc paladin and/or reno hunter and/or control warrior. And they dusted all their mage cards in the process. I think they have had enough after mana wyrm, no more jaina, galaxy back to unplayable, and a nerf to the auto-include conjurer's calling. Why would you fool around with mage if you can vomit 7 murlocs on 5 instead.
However, I can't refrain from criticising the choice of that Highlander Hunter as an example of Aggro deck. Indeed you explain about Midrange, nonetheless having that deck under Rock-Aggro is arguable at best.
Independently of how good the deck is (which i cannot argue about), independently of it acting as Rock in the meta (which I would still argue about, according to your own definition of "Rock"), it's definitely misleading about what is conceived as "Aggro".
- A lot of murloc paladin - A lot of murloc, quest, and overload shaman - A lot of quest druid - No mage...not a single one. - Some warrior, a lot of them aggro, but also still control & bomb - Warlock Zoo - Tempo Rogue - Highlander Hunter - Quest Paladin
So a pretty wide array of things are still being tried out.
Most of these decks felt fine to play against. Nothing seemed way over powered yet. Murloc Paladin is still a shit deck that can highroll. A lot of the aggro decks feel reasonable. But it's pretty early.
I drafted a new mage deck with lots of dragons in it for early board control and some big minions to then curve into a 7-mana galaxy spell and then survive to pull off a 4-Ragnaros board using Khadgar, Faceless Manipulator and Jana'lai. Also with conjurer's calling and mountain giants of course and my new favorite Archmage Arugal. When that guy in combination with a draw card suddenly gives you a lot of cheap 1-mana minions...or it is left alive early game to give you more draw...very good card right now.
@Shakey, I believe the best build runs both Nomi and Phaoris. Although that was mainly to counter warrior. You would first bait out their removal with Phaoris and Cenarius, and then slam down multiple Nomi waves.
That actually sounds really good and would love to try that but it also means crafting Phaoris aswell, so it'll go on my 'to craft' list
Regarding the Quest Wall Priest I just got to legend from rank 2 having only 1 loss against Quest Druid (lol).
This is also my first time ever reaching legend so its pretty exciting, feel like I made the right choice there
Ah, the cop out response. I didn't expect anything else, really. Enjoy complaining about Blizzard actually putting in some effort for once in trying to fix unbalanced decks because you can't play your broken stuff anymore. Peace.
So, just checking, what is the OP "we must nerf this" deck of the week? I crafted two more and wanted to see if the choices were ok. Let me get it right, before the nerfs, control was awful, but now you feel that tingle inside loosing to aggro, and you want to nerf everything below 3 mana, right? Yeah, this time I'm just messing with you, so that people realise that nerfs is just a waste of dust, because, guess what, meta will never be perfect, and in the meantime, class identity or whatever bs blizzard throws in your eyes is gone. Spells and combo in rogues, ramp in druid, whatever they thought pali was, but now it's mummies... And I hate priest more than any other class, but that nerf on extra arms, even I think it is just uncalled for. I have a golden Sahket Sapper and never used it it seems super OP, maybe nerf that one? Be sure to keep those daily nerf requests going, thanks!
There's LITERALLY no good benefit to dusting just because it's there. The card doesn't lose value'. It's 1600 dust if you dust it now or a year from now.
I picked up a golden Harbinger Celestia during boomsday. You think Finley is bad. LOOK AT HER! THAT is a bad card.
But I didn't dust her. Why? I didn't have anything in particular to craft that I needed the 1600 dust for. Even when I ran out of dust, I had multiples and smaller cards I could dust first, and eventually I got to where I really didn't NEED any other card. i COULD'VE had more cards, but I had a few decks to play with already so there wasn't something I desperately needd, so I kept her. I even tried to use her in a deck..whichi failed.
At around Rumble I eventually wanted to make a hunter deck and finally FINALLY I needed 1600 dust for a legendary. So then I dusted her, crafted the card, and...nothing bad happened. I didn't 'lose value'. I didn't get caught by the Blizzard Cops. I didn't die. The card didn't disappear.
I had the card until I needed another card, so I dusted the card when I needed the card. I would've gained nothing by dusting it during Boomsday.
Meanwhile, I BET you a lot of folks dusted Luna's Pocket Galaxy. The same one that got buffed later into a tier S deck, then got nerfed to dust for full value. And I BET a lot of people dusted it because it was 'worthless' back in Boomsday. And I BET a lot of folks ended up with 400 dust they either let sit doing nothing or crafted a card they ended up not using a few weeks later.
While others kept it because "I can always dust it later", then got a lot of wins with a strong deck, then got their full dust at this time. And they did it because they probably dusted Hadronox during Frozen Throne and suffered for it when it went 5 star in Witchwood.
Dust can never be buffed. Dust can never be buffed then nerfed. Dust can never find a card that'll make it utterly powerful. Dust can't be played around with for luls. Dust can only be used to make cards.
Bad Cards can be buffed. Bad cards can be buffed then nerfed. Bad cards can be made powerful due to future cards. Bad cards can be played for the luls. Bad Cards can still be used to make new cards.
The point (aka TL:DR SUMMARY!)
1. If you immediately know what card you are going to craft that will be VERY useful to you and you KNOW it'll last a long time then.. yes, dust it now and craft.
2. Unless your situation qualifies for #1 there's NO reason to dust a card no matter how bad, or if it's golden, or if it's a duplicate. dust sitting in your bank is never more useful than a card worth the same price.
3.There is no 3. Keep the card until you KNOW what card you want, THEN dust it to craft that card.
I need to get this off my chest, I fucking HATE the recent arena. It is literally all tempo, no need for decision making, just who has the best deck. I fucking hate this, I came to play a card game, not fucking solitaire. Fuck this, I'm going on a hiatus.

I did not see that one lol. Thanks . For me it's Mage and warrior that I don't like to play.. just not my style

Pretty sure you need to reverse steps 1 and 2 of Maly Druid. If you play Elise after Maly, your Floop will copy Elise.

Why was prismatic lens not touched?
Why was Aggro Priest nerfed so fast compared to pretty much all other aggro decks?
didn't stop them from killing Druid's core cards with RR patch and only now sstarting to actually build the class back up again without it. They never had a problem with completely eviscerating a class for a long period of time with the goal of overall balance.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. With a few mana discounts, a Rhino, a couple giants and a megasaur, the burst potential is insane.

I think your Malygos combo steps may be in the wrong order...
...Or does the copied floop remain as Malygos ignoring the fact you played Elise? If so this is an interaction I was unaware of.

Conjurer's Calling in Even Mage is pretty fun!
This is the list I'm working on. The idea is to keep summoning solid bodies capable of favourable trades, to steadily overwhelm the enemy.
Deck ID Not Found
It currently has little consistency against decks that can swarm the board fast and/or repeatedly. I so wish Duskbreaker was a Mage card...
